We moved Mum from another Care Home to Langham for their expert dementia care and we have not been disappointed. The staff are wonderful, they have managed Mum's challenging behaviour so much better than the previous home and the environment there is just so good for her. Being able to go out for walks
and see the ponies and goats has been really lovely.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Langham CourtThanks very much for taking the time to leave a review. I'm so pleased your Mum's move to Langham Court has been a positive one, and that you've been able to enjoy the grounds together. Best wishes, Charlie

My brother spent 2 years in care homes that did not understand, and could not cope with his type of dementia. We were told about Langham Court by the Rare Dementia Society and as soon as I visited I knew it was the right place for him. From the first day that my brother arrived at Langham Court his
whole well being changed. He was so much happier and relaxed. For the first time we felt that he was genuinely being cared for, treated as an individual with respect and endless kindness. It was such a relief to know that he was content and safe after being unhappy for so long. The staff are nothing short of amazing. Some have been there from the first day my brother moved in and now feel like friends. We always feel so welcome from the minute we walk in and on the difficult days there's always someone there to talk to or even give you a hug. Langham Court is a remarkable place. It stands head and shoulders above anywhere else. We feel very lucky that it is my brothers home.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Langham CourtWe are truly touched to read such a heartfelt review, thank you for sharing it for others to benefit from. It's lovely to hear how you've embraced Langham Court and the team. Thanks again for your kind words. Best wishes, Charlie

My mother moved to Langham Court at the end of 2025, following a dementia diagnosis in 2023 and the loss of my Step-father in May. After a difficult stay in a previous home, the change in her wellbeing is night and day.
She has settled into a wonderful routine and is far more content than she has been
in years. A huge part of this is the "donut" layout of the building; it allows her to walk freely without ever feeling hemmed in or hitting a "dead end." Combined with their open-door policy, the anxiety she used to feel about being "trapped" has simply vanished.
The staff are equally remarkable. By not wearing uniforms, they've removed the clinical barrier that was such a bugbear for her previously. They treat her as a friend rather than a resident, which has restored her dignity and happiness. I am completely won over by the Langham Court approach and cannot recommend them highly enough for giving my mother her peace back.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Langham CourtThanks so much for taking the time to leave a review and share your thoughts to help others who might be making a similar decision. I'm pleased your mother has settled in so well and it's wonderful to hear that our approach has benefitted her. Best wishes, Charlie

I have just spent 2 weeks in convalescence post-surgery at Huntington House. All the staff are efficient, cheerful and willing. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and if there were any problems, they were speedily corrected.
I spent a fortnight there 18 months previously, and it was telling that over
half the staff were there then and welcomed me back, which I feel says much of the excellent work ethos and management. A happy and efficient team.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Huntington HouseThanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, and for your kind words about the team. It was a pleasure to have you at Huntington House, and lovely to meet you this time. I trust all is going well with your ongoing recovery, and I wish you all the very best for the future. Sending your loved one to a care home is not a decision you want to be in. For me it became apparent that we had reached this point.
Langham Court has made the transition less painful.
The staff are wonderful, which is perhaps the most important attribute. The environment is homely and the grounds
magnificent.
I wanted my loved one to feel safe and content in their new environment and I believe the staff at Langham Court, and other residents, and their families have made this happen.
It has been a difficult journey to get here but I am confident that the decision to place my loved one at Langham Court is the right one. This view is supported by family and friends, but most importantly, the anguish which my loved one has faced in the past is lifted.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Langham CourtThanks so much for taking the time to share your views and experience of Langham Court. I'm sure it will provide reassurance to others having to make a similar decision, and it means a huge amount to us that we have been able to provide some support for you and your loved one. My wife has advanced dementia and has been a resident at Langham Court since August 2025. From the outset the home has given me and my family complete reassurance that she is in the right place.
Langham Court is a family-owned care home and that truly shows in the culture and standards throughout.
This is not a corporate, box-ticking environment, the staff are first and foremost compassionate and that compassion underpins everything they do.
The team are consistently kind, professional and highly knowledgeable about dementia care. My wife is treated with dignity and warmth, and she has settled far better than we could ever have hoped for, which speaks volumes about the calm, supportive environment the staff have created.
Communication with the family has been excellent and the home is clearly very well run by Rochelle the Manager. Knowing that my wife is safe, respected and genuinely cared for gives us enormous peace of mind. I would wholeheartedly recommend Langham Court to anyone.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Langham CourtThanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, and for sharing your insight into what makes Langham Court the home that it is. The team will be really pleased to hear your feedback, and I'm sure it will help others who find themselves in a similar situation. Best wishes, Charlie

My husband moved to Langham Court on a permanent basis at the end of June 2025.
He has very complex needs as, in addition to his dementia diagnosis of Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia, he had an above knee amputation in October 2020, which he has never accepted, and which means he can be very difficult
and does not want to accept help.
I have been very pleased with the care that he has received from everyone at Langham Court. The staff have taken the time to get to know him as a person, his likes and dislikes. In the time that he has been at Langham Court he has become calmer and much more settled.
One fairly unique aspect is that he has been able to have his cat stay with him. He loves the cat and she sleeps on his bed. Her presence helps keep him calm, and she brings joy to other residents, staff and visitors who meet her.
Langham Court is a Butterfly home and was suggested to me by the Rare Dementia Support organisation. I am so grateful for the suggestion to go and visit.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Langham CourtThanks so much for your thoughtful review and we're so pleased your husband has settled and is being brought comfort by the care and indeed his cat. Best wishes, Charlie

My husband, D, was in Langham Court (LC) for 7 months.I knew as soon as I visited LC that it was the right place for him.
Rochelle and her amazing team spent time getting to know D and all the immediate family including his grandchildren. This enabled them to develop different strategies to support
him best. They also had the knack of making us laugh at the simplest things, usually over a cup of tea and a piece of home made cake.
He was allocated a room with a gorgeous view and his own little courtyard garden. This was ideal as he loved being outside watching planes, helping in the gardens and going for longer walks in the grounds every day.
During his final days, the care and compassion we all received was exceptional. As we come to terms with our loss we know that becoming part of the LC family was the best decision in difficult circumstances. Our heartfelt thanks go to you all
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Langham CourtThanks so much for taking the time to share your experience of Langham Court, and I'm so pleased to hear it was positive. It was such a pleasure to have you both as part of the LC family. Best wishes, Charlie

Mum was a resident at Huntington House for just over 2 years and we couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be. She was always treated with such kindness, care and dignity. The staff are truly wonderful - warm, compassionate and attentive - nothing would be too much trouble. She spent many
an hour outside enjoying the beautiful surrounds and array of animals and pets. It was always a superbly relaxing place to visit.
We will always be extremely grateful for the love and support shown to mum in her time at Huntington House.

Overall, Huntington was the right place for our father in his final months. The home as an old manor house, has character and continues very well with all the staff's care, which is personal and respectful. Huntington feels like a private home, not an institution, which is what our father needed. The
staff are fabulous and very caring, we cannot thank them enough for caring so well for our father in his last months.

Our mother was a resident at Huntington House for just over 2 years until her recent death. The home has a family atmosphere of friendliness and care. The staff aim to treat people as individuals, finding out their interests and things they enjoy. They arrange trips out in small groups in their own
transport, suitable for wheelchairs.
The Shepherds Hub, the conservatory, can be reserved for family gatherings to celebrate birthdays, where a cake is made for the resident of their choice, by Huntington. There a regular excellent musicians who bring a variety of musical events. All the staff work hard to give time & care to residents. Management responds promptly to any worries and deals with any issues kindly and openly. We were very happy with the love and care received.

My father was in Huntington House for about 3 months and I cannot speak too highly of the care he received. I do not want to single out any staff as all were caring, professional, kind and lovely. There were so many activities for him and the home had special people just to do quizzes or play dominoes
or take the residents out in the sun to chat. My father needed help with his food and moving about and all the staff were amazing. Eventually he was on the way out and the way the staff helped him and me was so compassionate and genuinely heart warming. This care home is absolutely top notch. I am not surprised it has received awards as it is exceptional. The management is superb and the whole place is simply lovely.

We visited a number of homes before choosing Langham Court and what a wise decision. My husband has settled here really well. One of our reasons for this decision was the extensive grounds and we make full use of these when we visit. On occasions my husband is interested in the horses and goats but
on other days shows no interest but it is good to have them there.
Within limits he is allowed to do as he pleases, get up when he wants to and wander around the home if he wishes. There are a wide range of items for him to interact with and a number of activities which he can attend, musical events being his favourite. The celebration of VE Day was a great event and showed that great consideration had been used when planning the event.
All staff treat their residents with respect and dignity. There are always carers wherever residents congregate and I know that my husband is safe at all times.
Most importantly he is happy living at Langham Court.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Langham CourtThanks for taking the time to write a review, I'm so pleased you and your husband are able to make the most of everything that Langham Court has to offer. And the team will be pleased to hear how their sensitivity and care are appreciated and acknowledged in your kind words. Best wishes, Managing Director.

From the very 1st visit yo view it felt homely and warming.
From the very first day my mum moved in she felt at home and has blossomed in health and mental health.
The staff are so friendly, happy and so bubbly and make mum smile all the time.
I feel confident in the team and they communicate well
with us as a family. You only have to ask and it is never to much.
Could not find a better home for my mum. She wanted a one move from her independence after her stroke and I know it has been the best move for her.
Every time I visit she tells me what a lovely place it is and feels like this is her new home.
Great team. Lovely home awesome

I moved a friend with early onset Alzheimer's to Langham court after previous care homes had been unable to meet her increasingly complex needs. They have been brilliant with her and I am confident that she has the best quality of life possible given her diagnosis. Feedback from friends who have visited
has been that the facilities and staff are excellent, the atmosphere warm and friendly and that my friend is really happy and settled.

Huntington House is an exceptional care home that has become a second home for our mother. The staff's dedication, compassion and professionalism are unparalleled. When our mother moved in at 90, we thought she had little time left. Remarkably, she thrived, last weekend celebrating her 98th birthday
surrounded by family in a beautifully decorated cottage on the grounds. The staff's attention to detail, from understanding her needs to arranging special moments like her birthday, is extraordinary. Despite dementia, she's settled and happy - a transformation we never imagined. The peaceful grounds and home-like atmosphere contribute to her longevity and quality of life. The staff's patience with our family's concerns has been invaluable. Huntington House has given us priceless extra years with our mother, turning an impossible situation into something beautiful. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the entire team for your care and love.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Huntington HouseThank you so much for your heartfelt review. From the moment I stepped through the doors of Langham looking for respite care, everyone I met was incredibly helpful, kind and attentive to my Father's needs, and indeed to mine. He may not have been the most sociable of residents, but the staff were always cheerful and encouraging to him. The office
staff, and in particular the Manager, were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were good communicators with me which meant a lot, particularly on days when I couldn't visit. The fact that there are no "extras" was a big plus: something that has not been my experience in other care facilities with a different relative. They took him to a hospital appointment, where I couldn't, which was a godsend. The only reason I haven't given a five star rating was because the WC in my Father's room was leaking. There was a of visit from maintenance initially but nothing came from that, and it bothered my Father that the floor was always wet and no-one did anything about it.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Langham CourtThanks so much for your review, and it's lovely to hear you received such a warm welcome and good communication. I hope your father's doing well. Please pass on my sincere apologies about the leak not being attended to urgently in the WC, as that's something we would normally make every effort to sort asap.

I wish to comment on the excellence of care taken by all at the home for my mother, who has been a resident at Huntington for more than five years. I initially had reservations about the quality of care it would be possible for her to receive once it became necessary for her to move from her own home,
but Huntington have consistently exceeded any hopes I could have formulated. The staff have been friendly, welcoming and endlessly supportive of our mother throughout that time, showing endless patience with her. In particular, I am exceedingly grateful for the care and persistence taken in recently resolving a difficult problem involving the local authority. The owner of the care home could not have done more, and I will be forever grateful to the management for their kindness, their generosity, and their obvious concern above all for the welfare of our mother. As others have noted, Huntington House truly is an exceptionally well run care home.
Reply from Charlie Hoare, Managing Director at Huntington HouseThanks so much for your kind words and recognition, I'm just pleased we managed to achieve a positive outcome. Thanks again for your support. Best wishes
