The staff at Langham Court are friendly, kind and helpful. Whenever I visit my mother, she seems happy and comfortable with her surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble for the team, and if you're choosing a care home for your relative, I can thoroughly recommend paying Langham Court a visit to see it for yourself.
Thanks very much for taking the time to leave a review, and for your kinds words. It's an absolute pleasure having your mother at Langham Court. Best wishes, Charlie
We moved Mum from another Care Home to Langham for their expert dementia care and we have not been disappointed. The staff are wonderful, they have managed Mum's challenging behaviour so much better than the previous home and the environment there is just so good for her. Being able to go out for walks and see the ponies and goats has been really lovely.
Thanks very much for taking the time to leave a review. I'm so pleased your Mum's move to Langham Court has been a positive one, and that you've been able to enjoy the grounds together. Best wishes, Charlie
My brother spent 2 years in care homes that did not understand, and could not cope with his type of dementia. We were told about Langham Court by the Rare Dementia Society and as soon as I visited I knew it was the right place for him. From the first day that my brother arrived at Langham Court his whole well being changed. He was so much happier and relaxed. For the first time we felt that he was genuinely being cared for, treated as an individual with respect and endless kindness. It was such a relief to know that he was content and safe after being unhappy for so long. The staff are nothing short of amazing. Some have been there from the first day my brother moved in and now feel like friends. We always feel so welcome from the minute we walk in and on the difficult days there's always someone there to talk to or even give you a hug. Langham Court is a remarkable place. It stands head and shoulders above anywhere else. We feel very lucky that it is my brothers home.
We are truly touched to read such a heartfelt review, thank you for sharing it for others to benefit from. It's lovely to hear how you've embraced Langham Court and the team. Thanks again for your kind words. Best wishes, Charlie
She has settled into a wonderful routine and is far more content than she has been in years. A huge part of this is the "donut" layout of the building; it allows her to walk freely without ever feeling hemmed in or hitting a "dead end." Combined with their open-door policy, the anxiety she used to feel about being "trapped" has simply vanished.
The staff are equally remarkable. By not wearing uniforms, they've removed the clinical barrier that was such a bugbear for her previously. They treat her as a friend rather than a resident, which has restored her dignity and happiness. I am completely won over by the Langham Court approach and cannot recommend them highly enough for giving my mother her peace back.
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review and share your thoughts to help others who might be making a similar decision. I'm pleased your mother has settled in so well and it's wonderful to hear that our approach has benefitted her. Best wishes, Charlie
Langham Court has made the transition less painful.
The staff are wonderful, which is perhaps the most important attribute. The environment is homely and the grounds magnificent.
I wanted my loved one to feel safe and content in their new environment and I believe the staff at Langham Court, and other residents, and their families have made this happen.
It has been a difficult journey to get here but I am confident that the decision to place my loved one at Langham Court is the right one. This view is supported by family and friends, but most importantly, the anguish which my loved one has faced in the past is lifted.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your views and experience of Langham Court. I'm sure it will provide reassurance to others having to make a similar decision, and it means a huge amount to us that we have been able to provide some support for you and your loved one. Best wishes, Charlie
My wife has advanced dementia and has been a resident at Langham Court since August 2025. From the outset the home has given me and my family complete reassurance that she is in the right place.
Langham Court is a family-owned care home and that truly shows in the culture and standards throughout. This is not a corporate, box-ticking environment, the staff are first and foremost compassionate and that compassion underpins everything they do.
The team are consistently kind, professional and highly knowledgeable about dementia care. My wife is treated with dignity and warmth, and she has settled far better than we could ever have hoped for, which speaks volumes about the calm, supportive environment the staff have created.
Communication with the family has been excellent and the home is clearly very well run by Rochelle the Manager. Knowing that my wife is safe, respected and genuinely cared for gives us enormous peace of mind. I would wholeheartedly recommend Langham Court to anyone.
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, and for sharing your insight into what makes Langham Court the home that it is. The team will be really pleased to hear your feedback, and I'm sure it will help others who find themselves in a similar situation. Best wishes, Charlie
Rochelle and her amazing team spent time getting to know D and all the immediate family including his grandchildren. This enabled them to develop different strategies to support him best. They also had the knack of making us laugh at the simplest things, usually over a cup of tea and a piece of home made cake.
He was allocated a room with a gorgeous view and his own little courtyard garden. This was ideal as he loved being outside watching planes, helping in the gardens and going for longer walks in the grounds every day.
During his final days, the care and compassion we all received was exceptional. As we come to terms with our loss we know that becoming part of the LC family was the best decision in difficult circumstances. Our heartfelt thanks go to you all
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience of Langham Court, and I'm so pleased to hear it was positive. It was such a pleasure to have you both as part of the LC family. Best wishes, Charlie
He has very complex needs as, in addition to his dementia diagnosis of Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia, he had an above knee amputation in October 2020, which he has never accepted, and which means he can be very difficult and does not want to accept help.
I have been very pleased with the care that he has received from everyone at Langham Court. The staff have taken the time to get to know him as a person, his likes and dislikes. In the time that he has been at Langham Court he has become calmer and much more settled.
One fairly unique aspect is that he has been able to have his cat stay with him. He loves the cat and she sleeps on his bed. Her presence helps keep him calm, and she brings joy to other residents, staff and visitors who meet her.
Langham Court is a Butterfly home and was suggested to me by the Rare Dementia Support organisation. I am so grateful for the suggestion to go and visit.
Thanks so much for your thoughtful review and we're so pleased your husband has settled and is being brought comfort by the care and indeed his cat. Best wishes, Charlie
Within limits he is allowed to do as he pleases, get up when he wants to and wander around the home if he wishes. There are a wide range of items for him to interact with and a number of activities which he can attend, musical events being his favourite. The celebration of VE Day was a great event and showed that great consideration had been used when planning the event.
All staff treat their residents with respect and dignity. There are always carers wherever residents congregate and I know that my husband is safe at all times.
Most importantly he is happy living at Langham Court.
Thanks for taking the time to write a review, I'm so pleased you and your husband are able to make the most of everything that Langham Court has to offer. And the team will be pleased to hear how their sensitivity and care are appreciated and acknowledged in your kind words. Best wishes, Managing Director.
From the very first day my mum moved in she felt at home and has blossomed in health and mental health.
The staff are so friendly, happy and so bubbly and make mum smile all the time.
I feel confident in the team and they communicate well with us as a family. You only have to ask and it is never to much.
Could not find a better home for my mum. She wanted a one move from her independence after her stroke and I know it has been the best move for her.
Every time I visit she tells me what a lovely place it is and feels like this is her new home.
Great team. Lovely home awesome
Thanks so much for your review, it's lovely to hear such positive comments about our team and home, and how well your mum has settled and seems to be enjoying herself. Best wishes, Managing Director
I moved a friend with early onset Alzheimer's to Langham court after previous care homes had been unable to meet her increasingly complex needs. They have been brilliant with her and I am confident that she has the best quality of life possible given her diagnosis. Feedback from friends who have visited has been that the facilities and staff are excellent, the atmosphere warm and friendly and that my friend is really happy and settled.
We're so pleased your friend has found happiness at Langham Court, and the team will take pride in knowing that they've been able to meet her needs. Thanks very much for the feedback, it means a lot, and will hopefully help others. Best wishes, Managing Director
From the moment I stepped through the doors of Langham looking for respite care, everyone I met was incredibly helpful, kind and attentive to my Father's needs, and indeed to mine. He may not have been the most sociable of residents, but the staff were always cheerful and encouraging to him. The office staff, and in particular the Manager, were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were good communicators with me which meant a lot, particularly on days when I couldn't visit. The fact that there are no "extras" was a big plus: something that has not been my experience in other care facilities with a different relative. They took him to a hospital appointment, where I couldn't, which was a godsend. The only reason I haven't given a five star rating was because the WC in my Father's room was leaking. There was a of visit from maintenance initially but nothing came from that, and it bothered my Father that the floor was always wet and no-one did anything about it.
Thanks so much for your review, and it's lovely to hear you received such a warm welcome and good communication. I hope your father's doing well. Please pass on my sincere apologies about the leak not being attended to urgently in the WC, as that's something we would normally make every effort to sort asap.
My husband has been a resident at Langham Court since May 2024. I believe that he could not be in a better place to be cared for. My husband and I are made to feel part of a loving family and we are both given exceptional care and support. All the staff from the manager through to the cleaners are without exception lovely caring people. They all greet me by name and always have time to talk. My husband's Alzheimer's can make his behaviour challenging at times but I am reassured to know that he is helped in a very sympathetic and caring manner. There is a lovely atmosphere at the Home and it is never a chore to visit. I have never seen a miserable face or heard a complaint from any of the staff, on the contrary, there is always a smile, a friendly face and even a hug if I need it . No-one wants to be in these circumstances, but we are, and we are so fortunate to have such a good care home and lovely team of people in our village.
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and thoughtful review. It's lovely to hear the positive interactions with the team and the atmosphere it creates. Very happy to catch up with you about the food, and what we can do to improve it. Thanks again, and best wishes.
Both my parents have lived at Langham Court since December 2023. Over the last 12 months, we have been blown away by the skill, expertise and caring nature of the team. Their expert nursing care helped Dad through his complex physical care needs whilst the specialist dementia care has supported Mum. Through the skill of the team, our parents stayed together through their 60-year marriage only separating when Dad passed away this December. The team at Langham (including all staff: manager, receptionists, cleaning, kitchen, and care/nursing teams wrapped themselves around us all as a family. Mum said goodbye to Dad and was skillfully supported during Dad's last days of life. Dad had the most peaceful passing thanks to the nursing team's skill and incredible care support. We feel very lucky that we found Langham and that Mum is happily living there, settled and looked after with expertise and love.
Thank you so much for sharing such an intimate account of your family's experience and of the care we've provided, it will be reassuring to hear for people in a similar situation I'm sure. And wonderful for the team to know that their expertise and love have meant so much to you all. Wishing you and your Mum continued happiness at Langham Court. Best wishes, Charlie
Langham Court was the most fantastic place that my mum could have hoped to spend her last months of her 95 year amazing life. I am convinced that we could not have found a better more stimulating and friendly home to care for her and be nearer to her family.
Thanks so much for your kind words, we are truly touched that it meant so much, and so pleased it was such a positive experience for your Mum. Best wishes, Charlie
Many care homes do not cater for this demographic let alone the rare dementia diagnosis.
Respite was arranged and I was delighted with the process and thrilled to hear that the staff wanted to learn about her as a person. Truly person-centred and not just another resident in a care home setting.
In time, as the disease has progressed, full-time residential nursing care has been required and there is no other place that I would want my wife to be. It's not just me noticing this but our children and my wife's siblings too.
The family that owns Langham Court have a unique person-centred approach and staff from the most junior, right up to MD subscribe to the "Butterfly" care model and it shows, having been awarded "Best Dementia Care Home" by The National Dementia Care Awards in September 2024.
If you want a compassionate, understanding care home for your loved one at a time of great stress you will find it in Langham Court.
Thanks so much for your kind words and for sharing your journey for others to gain insight from. We never take for granted the trust families put in us to care for their loved ones, so thank you.
We are truly humbled by the care staff's dedication and professionalism; for which we will forever be thankful. Langham Court is a wonderful place but it is the carers that make the difference; the staff are all special people doing a difficult but an incredibly important job.
Keep up the amazing work that you do and thank you on behalf of our family; it is so very much appreciated.
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review and for your thoughtful comments. The team will really appreciate the recognition for their care and dedication. Best wishes.
Thank you for looking after my husband so well during his two weeks of respite care. He had never been in a home before and I was very apprehensive about leaving him. I need not have worried as he was very happy and content in his temporary home.
You're more than welcome! I'll make sure your thanks is passed on to the team. Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased we were able to allay any worries about your husband spending time in a care home. Best wishes.
Fantastic care for my mum who is at the last stage of her dementia journey. My mum has been at the home for over 18 months now and we've been so happy with the love, dignity and care she has received. This has become even more poignant recently as she comes closer to the end of her journey. So much love, attention, kindness and care. Thank you team!
Thanks so much for your kind words. The team will be thrilled to know that their care is so appreciated at such an important time for you all. Best wishes.
I had the most wonderful experience at Langham Court! Myself and my carer were warmly welcomed by the lovely staff, and then I had a heavenly bath in the adapted bathroom. A wonderful safe bath designed for people like myself, with mobility issues. I can't thank you enough, it made such a difference to me! I hope to return soon!
So pleased you had such a positive experience with us. Thanks so much for your kind words. Hope to see you again soon. Best wishes.
