Langham Court, part of The Huntington & Langham Estate, is a purpose-built, award-winning care home specialising in dementia that’s privately-owned and operated by the Hoare family. Built in 2013, the home offers spacious, comfortable care facilities based on the Butterfly Project, a pioneering approach where residents' feelings matter most.

The unique circular design of Langham Court incorporates two floors, both of which have easy access to safe, secure and stunning gardens and outside space. This connection with nature supports independence and promotes wellbeing. Additionally, all bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows offering great views, full wet room en-suites, and many have their own picket-fenced gardens.

Throughout the hallway areas are tactile features designed to stimulate the senses and memories, and Langham Court also has an onsite hairdressing salon, activities room and pretty gardens overlooking fields.

Langham Court provides specialist dementia residential and nursing care from £2450 per week. Room fees are all-inclusive - it is one price for all the care and support you will ever need, which includes food and drink, hospitality, activities, transport, hairdressing and newspapers. External healthcare costs, such as physiotherapy, chiropody, dentistry etc. are not included. We also provide residential and nursing care for early stage dementia in Huntington House, which is also on The Huntington & Langham Estate.

My dad had a stroke and after several weeks in hospital we realised that he would not be able to return to his flat so we looked at care homes, a scary thing. After looking at several, the one that stood out was Langham Court and we are so glad that this is now his home because a home is what it is.
Everyone was welcoming from day one and not just for Dad, but the family also became part of the 'Langham Family'. All the staff without exception are amazing, they all interact with the residents and are a real team who put the needs of the residents above everything else. Now that Dad has settled he is enjoying life there with a wide range of activities to enjoy and keep him occupied. The setting of the home is fantastic with beautiful grounds, not to mention the chickens and horses! If you have a family member who needs to go into a care home I would highly recommend that you go and look at Langham Court, we are certainly very impressed with the care my dad has received.

Grandad was moved into Lagham Court due to age-related dementia. From the first day, he was there, we were treated like one of the family. We were able to visit whenever we needed too, pre covid, and Grandad was so incredibly well looked after. The staff talked to him and listened to what he wanted,
and gave him such amazing care. On his 100th Birthday, they made a huge fuss of him, giving him 3 cakes and a bottle of champagne!
During Covid, Langham Court emailed every few days with updates, and kept us informed, and often send photos of Grandad, so although we couldn't see him in person, we could still see photos of him.
The care Grandad received was amazing, and the staff made the utmost effort to look after and support Grandad.
We will miss Langham Court and all the staff so much. Thank you for making it a true home from home.

My mother was a resident at Langham Court for nearly three years up until April 2019 and I can honestly say that the care and attention and sheer pride emanating from the staff in creating a loving family atmosphere is second to none. This must be one of, if not, the best Dementia/Alzheimer’s specialist
care homes in the UK.

My husband attends Day Care on Thursday which he thoroughly enjoys. He has also spent a week as a resident on respite care. Both he and I (and friends who have visited) are most impressed with the level of care and the facilities. It is expensive so I believe excellence must be paid for.

Very impressed with the medical knowledge of staff, and with regular visits and information given by the Care Home's GP.

Langham Court, although expensive, is probably the best home in the area, country even, for dementia care. The day to day care is excellent and the needs of the patients are always catered for. The medical staff on site are excellent and the attendant GP is requested when necessary. I would recommend
to anyone who has a loved one needing dementia care.

Langham feels like a family home, not like a hotel or a hospital, photographs of the residents and staff are everywhere as is the stuff of life - books, toys, instruments, puzzles, hats, musical instruments, artwork. The staff feel like family, no uniforms or name badges, they are very kind and patient.
There is lots of laughter and fun evidently going on. Everywhere is kept beautifully clean by very caring housekeeping staff, who stop and chat with residents and visitors alike, the philosophy seems to be kindness and interaction first, then doing whatever task is at hand next. The gardens are beautiful with views towards trees and fields of sheep and horses. The gardens have secure fences so the residents can walk in them safely. There are lots of engaging activities for residents, plus a day Center twice a week that residents can join in with. The food is great, prepared freshly and daily on the premises. Langham is of the best standard a care home could be and recommend it 100%

My relation has been cared for with great respect. They take in the detail of each patient as to what each person's needs are. 80% of the carers are very loving to all and it appears nothing is too much trouble. They have regular doctor, dentist and chiropodist visits, hairdresser salon available once
a week, all at the nursing home.

I have Power of Attorney for a resident. Langham Court was recommended by a nurse working in the NHS. I already knew the owners but had not visited Langham Court. He has been here for nearly three years and in this time he has been wonderfully cared for, treated with respect and dignity and his visitors
have all been welcomed.

Mum has been at Langham court for almost two yeas now and we are so pleased with the care she receives. She is relaxed and comfortable and her key care workers are brilliant. The Alzheimers journey is a bumpy, attritional one, but Langham Court has done everything in their power to make it tolerable

Charlie Hoare

Job Title: Managing Director Joined: 2014

Having grown up in Huntington House and spent my childhood living alongside the people we've looked after, I have a unique insight into care. As a result, I am always trying to find ways to make our care home more of a, well, home. I've pioneered a care model that breaks down the barriers between residents and staff, and have been invited to speak at industry events about the importance of relationship-centred care and creating a sense of belonging in an industry that often aspires to be hotel-like with more emphasis on hospitality than homeliness.
Pre-Covid, my own family played a big part in our home, and we are currently training our new puppy (a miniature dachshund) to be a therapy dog that will hopefully soon be coming to the homes with me on a daily basis.
I am always more than happy to chat to anyone trying to figure out the best way forward for their loved one requiring care, so please don't hesitate to contact us and ask for me if I can help in any way at all.
