My mother always wanted to stay in her own home, but at 96 it was no longer safe for her to do so. When we found Glenmuir House, it was such a relief to know, from the first day, that she would be happy and well taken care of. She was able to be as independent as was safe and always treated with respect
and even love! I could never have found anywhere that could compare. She spent nearly 4 years at Glenmuir House: she loved her surroundings, she loved her food and she, and all the family, loved the staff.

Mum was very well looked after during her 4 year stay. The staff were very respectful of her wishes when she first arrived, which was what she needed. Later she responded to encouragement to join other residents for meals and activities. As her condition worsened the staff were very kind and the manager
did everything possible to make sure she got the best treatment and equipment to help her. We were always made very welcome when visiting and provided with a coffee after our long journey. We feel she was a lucky lady to end her days at Glenmuir House!

Our family has been incredibly impressed with the exceptional care provided at this home. From the moment you walk through the door, you can feel the warmth, respect and genuine compassion. The staff consistently go above and beyond their duties, nothing feels like too much trouble. They take the time
to truly know each resident, listen and make every day meaningful. The home is always spotless, fresh and welcoming with delicious, well presented food that caters to the individual tastes and dietary needs. There is also a wonderful variety of activities that keep residents engaged and socially connected. Your never just a visitor, you're part of a supportive community knowing our loved one is safe, happy and valued gives peace of mind that you can't put a price on.

My father, who was previously independent, had a fall and is now unable to walk. So, with a heavy heart, it was agreed between us that he needed residential care. Abbey House has made the transition easy and have treated him with kindness and respect. Every time I raise a health concern, the management
have already actioned a solution which is a huge relief! Location great as Dad can't be wheeled far and everything is on their doorstep for when we take him out. We can phone and visit any time. All staff are friendly and accommodating.

My mum has been at Abby House for over 6 months now and I couldn't be happier with the care provided. The staff, especially the manager and deputy manager, go above and beyond. The communication is excellent and I never worry about my mum's care as I know she is in safe hands. Mum's settled in very

Whenever I vist mother always seems happy anff well cared for. The staff are all cheerful andhelpful. As she has settled in she is joining in with the activities which are run by a very nice lady.
The food always looks excellent.
We are kept up to date with regular pictures on the messaging group.

Greeted with lovely welcome to the home, Mum was shown around with us. Also given telephone number if we need to check or ask anything. Messaging group to see photos of activities doing. One of the staff has been fantastic in helping me with anxiety, with a personal touch and contact. All staff have

Glenmuir is a wonderful place. The carers are professional, kind, empathetic, knowledgeable and just amazing.
My dad was there only for 4 months, but I knew he was in safe hands. It always felt like he was part of a family, and so did I. Everyone treated him with respect, dignity, kindness, and humour.
The manager and her team are such incredible people, I really can not thank them enough for what they did. He was never alone. Their communication is excellent. Everything was always thought of and anything that needed to be done was done immediately.
Thank you to everyone who works there for taking such thoughtful care of my dad and also me.

My mum stayed here for two weeks respite. The only reason I rated Satisfactory for cleanliness is because some parts of home the paint work could do with a lick of paint & freshening up. The staff were all lovely & Deputy most helpful. Received photos of mum partaking in activities and she looked happy
& relaxed. Food looked & smelt good. Would happily send mum here again.

The staff here are amazing, really kind and helpful. They have made my parents feel very welcome and will do anything they can to help. They are very thorough and organised taking a lot of worry away from me. Communication is excellent. They are always polite and happy to help.

My mother-in-law has been in Abbey House for nearly 2 years now. She went in during Covid, as she had had a fall and broke her hip and arm and was then unable to return to her previous care home as she was no longer mobile. She is bedbound and has dementia, but is extremely happy at Abbey House, she
enjoys the food and loves the staff who all care for her so well and truly meet all her needs. They are amazing and always include her in lots of activities that are run in the home. They come up with so many things to make her time enjoyable. They have had coloured moving lights in her room for her to watch. She even had a pony visit her in her room at Christmas! And she loves the house cat that can often be found fast asleep on her windowsill! Abbey House is a small care home, the staff have all been there for a long time. It has a special feeling of being a big family and we are truly lucky to have found the best care home with so much love for the residents.

Glenmuir House is a home where my mother felt loved - she felt safe and happy - her needs were always met. Staff always kind and friendly - her room always clean - when I visited my mother I was nearly always offered a hot drink. The support and care I was shown when my mother passed away was amazing
