MY DAUGHTER IS HAPPY, well cared for and loved. I am content to know she is in very capable, trustworthy hands, especially as she has acute medical needs which are met with diligence and precision.
She has been in many homes over the years as her needs have changed but out of all of them Ashbury
Care Home is the one that has a really gentle family atmosphere, without a doubt residents/service users welfare and comfort come first.
There's a daily menu with good tasty food (I sometimes stay for lunch), loads of activities including craft, plus outings in their mini bus for those who want to join in.
As her mother a heart felt THANK YOU

Since my mother has moved to Ashton Manor, I have seen her have the opportunity to live life to the full. The staff make exceptional efforts to provide meaningful activities that help residents feel part of a family and the community. A personal highlight was seeing my mum take part in the Bognor Carnival
this year.
The staff are kind and responsive to my mum's individual needs. They communicate well with me too. I live further away from Mum than I would like, but the social media posts keep me updated and reassured that she's having a positive experience. Mum's only been her a few months, but in my opinion other residential homes could learn a lot from Ashton Manor's model of care.

My connection with Ashton Manor is fairly recent as my son became a resident just two months ago (December 2024). However I am reassured that my early questions and concerns have been met by the manager and staff, who have responded promptly and positively considering my queries. Contact with the staff
have been good whether on the phone or in person. I feel that he is being well cared for & with great patience as he was initially very unsettled. I am grateful to the staff for their support and care.

On our regular visits, we are always greeted by smiley staff and told the whereabouts of the resident we visit. I know staff are quick to facilitate any needs called for and I have noticed that some residents even have a member of staff dedicated to them. Residents are offered many snacks throughout
the day including tea and biscuits and sometimes mince pies! The staff are organised and make sure numerous events can take place to please residents.

My husband has settled really well and seems very happy and content. He has been through a lot of confusion but now he seems very happy and never mentions coming home. Having his own room makes a lot of difference as usually, he is a very private man. The staff are really caring.

My father was transferred to Abbots Lawn after a very unsuccessful failed placement. He has been shown nothing but kindness, care and respect since being at Abbots Lawn and has now been signed off from the crisis team. He is now almost nonverbal but the staff seem to understand what he needs and they
are all extremely patient.
Reply from Rebecca Newman-Smith, Director at Abbots Lawn

Thank you for your kind words. They mean so much to us. It is so great you can see how much the team truly care and that we have been able to be a positive part of your father's journey.

My son has been a resident at Ashton Manor since Dec 2023. I have been very impressed with the care and consideration shown to him at all times. The staff are always so welcoming and do everything they can to help. It is difficult to express how grateful I am for the way they have helped him to settle
into such a change of circumstances - but they have, and are doing - an excellent job.

We have always found all the staff very friendly and always able to answer any queries we have. Our only slight criticism is not always informed about appointments being made as unfortunately my dad's family do not live locally it would be appreciated a quick phone call. Dad always looks clean and also
his clothes. Room and bedding clean and tidy as Dad is bed bound this is important. Staff try very hard for Dad to join in activities and outings which unfortunately Dad does not want to do but nice to think he is included if he wanted to participate.

My father has lived at Ashton Manor for just over a year now, the care team have always been helpful and friendly and have adapted their service, and my father's surroundings to suit his changing needs.
Their staff turnover is incredibly low and therefore it's the same friendly faces every time you
visit which must be very reassuring for their residents.
My father's health can change rapidly but I have every faith in the care team to look after his needs and to keep me informed as things change.
I and the rest of my family would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Ashton Manor.

Any worries I have, I am able to speak to the manager and sort them out, they are always ready to listen.
There was a safeguarding problem with the hospital which the home put in a complaint and got it sorted.
