I am always welcomed at the home. The carers are always accommodating & caring & compassionate. They are educated for my mums complex needs. Manager is a star at knowing her residents & health care plans to keep family updated. The food is a very high standard with family members encouraged to eat with
their loved ones. Office staff are fabulous. A very pleasurable home for my mum to be taken care of

Burlington Hall

Burlington Hall was the chosen care home to look after my good friend, as it was local to him, was no more expensive than other, similar local care homes and seemed to offer an outstanding level of care and attention. The home is always very clean, with a team constantly ensuring that it is safely maintained
and all of the staff are friendly, polite and show genuine care for the residents.
I like the fact that the food is all cooked in its own kitchen, with the chef bringing it up to the dining room and integrating with the residents as well and there is always the offer of a meal as well if you are visiting during mealtime and want to stay.
In short, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, even arranging special days for the residents, recently celebrating Burns Night, the Chinese New Year and Valentines day.
I honestly can't think of a bad thing to say about the Burlington Care Home, so please keep up the superb work that you do and thank you for looking after my friend so well.

Reply from Anda Marin, Manager at Burlington Hall

Dear Matt, Thank you for your kind words. Even though Ray was with us for a short time, he had a huge influence on our staff and other residents, his smiles and energy filled the home. We miss having his joy spread around the home everyday. We are delighted to know that you felt your friend was loved and cared for during his short time with us. We would love to stay in touch moving forward. All the best wishes Anda and The Burlington Hall Family.

My husband has been a resident in Burlington Hall since January 2025. He has sever dementia; three other care homes, following assessment, declined to admit my husband due to his irratic behaviour. The care my husband receives at Burlington is of a very high standard. He has settled well and his behavioural
problems have reduced due to the calm, quiet support the carers give my husband. I feel we have been very fortunate that my husband is now residing in such a friendly, caring environment. I am also made to feel very welcome.

Reply from Anda Marin, Manager at Burlington Hall

Dear Cath, thank you so much for your lovely review and for all the love and support you've shown our team. Your kind words mean the world to us, we're incredibly fortunate to have you as part of our care home community, and it's been a joy to see your husband settle in so well. We are grateful to know that everyday your husband is happy and settled with us. We look forward to celebrating more special occasions with you both. Wish love and very best wishes Anda and The Burlington Hall Family.

My 90 year old Dad has been living in this care home since July 2024. He came in following hospital care for some respite and his health has gone from strength to strength thanks to the caring staff and manager. We are supported and involved in Dad's care and always informed of any issues that arise.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a professional and caring service for their loved one.

Reply from Anda Marin, Manager at Burlington Hall

Dear Mary, Thank you so much for your kind words-it truly means a lot to us. We're so pleased to hear that your dad chose to stay on with us after his respite stay. It's been wonderful to see how well he's settled in and how many lovely friendships he's formed with both the ladies and gentlemen here. Your continued care and support on his journey is something we deeply appreciate. It's a privilege to be part of his life and to support your family in this next chapter. We know how much your mum is missed, and we're honoured to help carry that love and care forward with your dad. Kindest Regards Anda and The Burlington Hall Family

Despite only a brief stay at the home our mother was treated with dignity and respect.
Any ratings less than 5 below are indicative only of the fact that refurbishments were being undertaken during her stay. Otherwise, very happy with the treatment received.

So happy the Shrubbery had space to take my Mum as I had always heard good reports of this care home. They visited her in the hospital and we made arrangements for her to move to the home. The food is good. They provide lots of entertainment and things for the residents to do. She has her own bedroom
and toilet and sink and they have been redecorating the building. All the staff are lovely and from day one they told us that we are family now and that's how it feels, like one big family.

The Shrubbery care home has an excellent management and care staff team which gives the resident and their family the personal care and individual attention required to meet their needs. They treat us as family rather than clients and their warm and welcoming manner is evident in all of their interactions
with us. We are so grateful and lucky to have the peace of mind that our mum is in excellent care and that she is surrounded by people who she can count on. A special thank you to the staff who has done so much to settle Mum and make us all feel proud to be part of the Shrubbery community.

My husband has been at Burlington Hall since September 2019. I was so pleased with the care and love he was shown back then. He was treated with respect right from the start. The family was always welcomed and made to feel at home.
However, the dynamic manager has not rested on her laurels. She strives
for excellent care on behalf of the residents and their families. Over the years, the standard of care has continued to improve as my husband has deteriorated. Staff are vigilant in monitoring his health and well-being. They keep me updated with developments and I am always made to feel welcome when I visit him.
There is a strong team of permanent and professional carers which also enhances the care of the residents, as they get to know the residents well and can therefore spot if there is something awry before it becomes a problem.

Mum spent only seventy days in Burlington Hall but each and every one of those days was filled with care and compassion for her and for her situation. Initially, it was thought she would be spending just a couple of weeks in respite care after discharge from hospital. I asked an old friend if they could
recommend somewhere and without hesitation they recommended Burlington Hall. Burlington Hall's wonderful and impressive manager spoke to us and visited Mum in hospital and from there on in we felt that Mum was the complete focus of their care and attention. It was as if Mum was their only resident but I now know that they give the same level of outstanding care to all their residents and families. I am not entirely sure how they achieve this... I suspect the "recipe" is a combination of impressive organisation, sheer hard work... and literally breathtaking amounts of kindness and compassion.
I will never forget all that they did for my mother during her last few months of life.

My 95-year-old mother-in-law became a resident at Burlington Hall for what was expected to be respite care following a fall. She had severe oedema and an aggressive and debilitating cancer. Burlington Hall turned out to be her final home.
The love and care that she was given was of the highest conceivable
standard at every level. Nothing was too much trouble and the care extended to my wife and our dog. In the last days of my mother-in-law's life, she and we were tended and looked after in a way which was personal as well as reassuringly professional. We will be forever grateful.

Our relative had been in the care home for just under four years. Her admission was due to advanced dementia requiring one-to-one care.
Despite all the difficulties of dealing with her the staff always demonstrated care and kindness. They were always very patient despite regular difficulties and provocation
from her.
She was always well turned out, well fed and we believe well looked after.

Right from the day that my mum moved into the Shrubbery, I had no concerns about any aspect of her care.
I visited my mum on a very nearly everyday basis, I live half a mile away from the Shrubbery and do shift work so I was popping in at most hours of the day and night, (after 8 pm is by prior arrangement)
at no point was I concerned with anything, both for Mum and the other residents.
The team at the Shrubbery is caring, professional and well-staffed at all times, the manager is most excellent at her job and this is reflected throughout the whole care team.
Big thanks to the deputy manager, one of the many senior carers, and 'mum's girls' for looking after Mum so well right until her last days.

Delighted we chose this care home for our auntie, every time we visit we are made to feel welcome and we have every confidence that aunty is being cared for and this makes it so much easier when we leave.
The whole environment is bright cheerful and clean and the entertainment provided is excellent
and caters for all of the clients.
I cannot fault The Shrubbery in any way, the communication we get is brilliant and we are happy knowing that she is in safe loving hands.
