Whenever I visit my sister she always looks happy in her surroundings, usually chatting with others. Staff facilitate whatever she wants to do whether it's having a cuppa with me in the dining room or going out with me. They'll make the tea/coffee and biscuits for us or if we go out, they're happy to
help fetch her coat and assist her to get ready. Staff are aware that our mother is cared for in their other home further down the road and are happy to walk down with my sister for her to visit my mother on occasion. Nothing seems too much trouble for the staff. Always a pleasant and friendly welcome.

Since mum has been in Ty Draw (almost 2 years) she is happy and settled! All staff are friendly attentive and genuinely seem to care which we, as a family, find very reassuring! The other residents also always seem happy which I believe shows the commitment and care that staff give!

Mum has now been told in Ty Draw Lodge for a year. She is well looked after and happy which has taken a great deal of stress and worry away from my sister and I. The staff are caring, hard working and supportive of mum and us. They respond to any questions or queries promptly and always keep us in the
loop. We can't thank them enough and couldn't have picked a better home for her.

My mother celebrated her 101st birthday in January 2026. Wentworth Lodge went above and beyond to help the family celebrate with my mother in one of their communal areas. A beautiful buffet lunch laid on for residents and family members including all types of cakes, something to suit everyone. A professional
singer had been arranged for the afternoon. The celebration was enjoyed by all. I cannot thank the staff enough for how they look after my mother and all the residents in their care. It truly is as though the staff are family.

My Mum has been a resident at Wentworth Lodge for nearly 3 years and I feel she has received consistently excellent care throughout this time. The staff really are what makes it. Every member of the team is kind & compassionate and works hard to create a homely environment. Being such a small home helps
with this. I feel reassured that Mum is safe and being well looked after by people who have a genuine interest in her wellbeing. Mum is always well-kempt whenever I visit, including when visits are unannounced. I hear great things from Mum about the food!

My Mother, who has Mixed Dementia initially went into Ty Draw Lodge for emergency respite care back in September 2025. Her stay has now become permanent and I cannot praise everyone enough.
From the initial meeting with the Manager to being greeted by all the staff when we took Mum in, we have been
shown such kindness and support.
Mum has a lovely room, enjoys all the food and is being cared for so well. The relief I personally feel is immeasurable...knowing that she is safe, is eating and sleeping well and has company means everything to me and my family.
Forever grateful to all the staff who are wonderful. Thank you!

We are so glad that there was a room available for Dad at Wentworth Lodge. It is just right for him, management and staff are lovely and so caring. There is calm, relaxed atmosphere and being a small property, a personal, very homely feel. Dad feels safe and cared for.

The staff at ty draw lodge are so amazing, patient, kind, loving towards not just my father but all the residents.
They have tremendous patience with all the care the patients, no matter how agitated, upset any resident are, the staff still love and care for them and give all attention they need.
I watch so often I feel like I am part of the family and I am not a resident. I feel part of the family there with all the staff . They are heroes.

My mother became a resident of Wentworth lodge in June. We were so nervous but our fears were completely unfounded. The staff and management of the lodge are fantastic. The property itself is clean and tidy and there is a pop of colour. There is a very nice garden which residents can enjoy. The staff
are wonderful they are kind compassionate and go the extra mile to keep the residents happy, The manager really considers activities that he believes the residents would enjoy. The chef even made mum her own meal as she wasn't keen on the varied menu! Nothing is too much trouble. Everything is arranged for the residents and it's seamless from hair appointments, chiropodist to organising meds. The staff are very good at keeping us informed of how mum is getting on day to day. Visiting is no issue and we are always welcomed and made to feel comfortable.
Thank you to all. You thoroughly deserve the five-star review.

Both of my parents have dementia and other health issues. It became impossible to keep them in their own home, even with carers, so we looked at six care homes in Cardiff and were quite disheartened as none of them felt right. We then visited Ty Draw Lodge and it was completely different. We had a really
warm welcome and were shown round a number of rooms and the facilities. Every member of staff we met was friendly and welcoming and it felt like a family home. I had another meeting with the manager to discuss details and he was open, friendly and happy to answer all our questions in detail. Mum and Dad moved into a double room last July 2024 and they are so well looked after. The home is clean, food is excellent and the staff provide a fantastic level of care. They have a variety of activities and celebrations and we used the Baa Bar for a private family birthday which was really lovely. We are so relieved to know they are being so well looked after. Excellent care home - well done!

Mum has lived with dementia for a number of years, and in May we took the difficult decision to move her, from the Care Home she had lived in for 6 years, to Ty Draw Lodge. Staff at Ty Draw were very helpful and supportive, making the transition totally hassle and trouble free. Mum has settled in very
quickly, and I am sure that the lovely, friendly staff have been a significant factor in this. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for care for n the Cardiff area takes a look to see for themselves how safe and well look after residents are in a setting that is maintained to a very high standard.

I really appreciate the care my Mum receives and am so grateful she is happy at Ty Draw Lodge. She no longer seems to go out in the garden - she used to really enjoy this and maybe someone could gently encourage her to go outside (even if only for a few minutes )

I visit my mum at Ty Draw nearly every Sunday. i am really grateful to my daughter for finding the care home. The staff there are fantastic, always really friendly. There is also always very good communication regarding health issues and good communication from the management.

Mum has been at Ty Draw lodge for almost 2 years. We are delighted with the care and attention she receives and especially that the team relate to her as an individual.
A lot of the time Mum see's Ty Draw as her workplace and it helps to preserve her dignity.
When we drop her back after a Sunday
morning coffee she is always greeted by big smiles. She also loves the food! Thank you to the whole team.

My mum moved to Wentworth Lodge on November 2022 due to her worsening alzheimers diagnosis - we have absolutely no regrets.
Mum is happy, settled and feels very much "at home" in Wentworth. It's a small and relatively quiet home, which suits Mum perfectly. She adores the staff and they, in return,
care and support her as they would a member of their own family.
When Mum first came to Wentworth, staff promised that they would look after Mum WITH me (not for me) - and I can honestly say they have delivered on this promise ten-fold!
I for one, really can't thank them enough!

I often pop in to see Mum and I am always welcomed with a smile and taken to Mum. I can honestly say that the team are always attentive and loving towards the residents. We were worried about moving Mum into a home, not knowing if it was the right thing to do, and this home could not have helped us
through the transiton any better. Most of the team know my family by first name, which again makes us feel comfortable when we visit. Thanks to all of you for what you have done and will continue to do going forward.
