My mother has been a resident in Marian House for nearly three years and at no point during that time have I had any concerns over the excellent care that she receives from the very caring, friendly and well trained staff. The home is always clean and the food well prepared to meet my mothers changing
dietary needs. There are daily activities provided by the activities organisers and in addition to this a Craft cafe. Most of the rooms look onto a safe and well kept garden which residents can access and enjoy. I would have no hesitation in recommending Marian House to anyone seeking care for their loved one.

My Mum has been in Marian House Nursing Home for 2 years now and the exceptional nursing care that we experienced in 2024 is the same, if not more exceptional now. All the nursing and care staff are so friendly and their care to mum goes above and beyond their duties to attend to mums needs. Every
time we visit we find mum is always immaculately dressed.

There is always a wide range of activities and outings for the residents each week and a beautifully kept secluded garden at the back in which mum loves .

There is a calming and peaceful atmosphere inside and the home is impressively clean.

Mum is so content now, a sincere thanks to everyone at Marian House for all your love and care you give to mum.

My mum has been in Marian house for 3.5 years and has been very well cared for while she has been there. From the moment she arrived the staff took the time to get to know her personally and to tend to her individual needs. These needs have changed over the time she had been there and the care and attention
of the staff has adapted accordingly. Her room is warm and comfortable and the fact that she was able to bring some of her own furniture and have her own pictures on the wall really helped her to settle in and feel at home.
The garden is a real bonus. Unfortunately my mum is not so able to make use of it so much now but she enjoyed being able to get outside and walk or sit in the beautiful surroundings.
I cannot praise the staff enough. Knowing that my mum is safe and so well cared for makes it so much easier for us as a family.

My brother came to Marian House late in 2025 after an unfortunate diagnosis with Dementia. I had been advised about this care home by people who had helped me along the way with my brothers plight. I can honestly say that he settled in very quickly, the staff, and the surroundings, proving to be excellent. The
care and attention to his needs are wonderful managed by a well trained staff. There is something on every day with outings on a regular basis arranged by the Activities Coordinator. The quality of food is good with a choice on the daily menu. Management and staff keep good contact with the relatives and have relatives meetings during the course of the year. Finally the care home is kept with really high standards of cleanliness and it is situated in a wonderful area with nice gardens and nice outlook . I am so happy for my brother and I can rest reassured of his wellbeing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Marion House as a wonderful
care home.

My dad moved into Marian House in July 2023, as his Altzheimers had progressed to the stage where he could no longer live independently, and required significant care. Marian House came highly recommended and I am so glad that my sister and I decided it was the right care home for him. The quality of
care he receives is simply superb. There is a genuine sense of community, and staff really know dad and understand his developing needs. The activity programme is diverse. When he was able, dad loved attending weekly Art sessions run by the charity, Impact Arts. The lovely garden is accessible and used properly by residents.

Our dad has been resident at Marian House now for over two and a half years. The care he receives is fantastic. The home always has plenty of staff and regular staff who know and understand his needs well. The staff are loving and caring towards dad and cope brilliantly when his behaviours (due to dementia)
are challenging. The standard of nutrition is very high, and personalised to his needs. My sister and I also appreciate the high level of medical attention he receives, not only from the skilled nurses who work in the home, but also from the wider GP, psychiatric and other health teams the Marian House team has referred dad to when he's needed more specialist care. The home is always clean, smells nice and is redecorated regularly. There's a good range of activities for residents and dad has really benefited from regular sessions at the home's Craft Cafe. The garden is brilliant and really well used by the residents. We feel so lucky to have found Marian House for our dad.

My sister has been living in Marian House since January 2022. I visit her every week and enjoy going into the home to see her and all the staff who care for her. She is no longer able to have a two way conversation with me but she likes to talk! She goes to the in-house hairdresser every two weeks,
has regular manicures (her hands are so soft and her nails are always painted!), is seen by the chiropodist every 6 weeks or so (these things were always very important to her), medical and dental issues etc. are dealt with promptly and she is encouraged and aided by the staff and the Activities Coordinators to attend all the activities that are available every week. She has been taken out on trips by mini bus to various places and dementia events.
The staff always seem to be very upbeat and happy, some are positively joyous!
Marian House is a lovely home and I am very happy with the care that she receives.

I have no hesitation in recommending Marian House to anyone with a relative who has care needs. Having been through the process of assessment and admission with both parents I can assure any reader that the process was made as simple as possible and was handled in a highly caring and compassionate manner.
I cannot fault the level of care my parents have received at Marian House. There is a genuine warmth, the staff are clearly of very high quality and I am continually impressed by how personalised the care experience is. Any queries are handled efficiently and professionally by management. Our family would highly recommend Marian House.

My mum has been in Marian house for 18 months. Her physical and mental health have improved due to the excellent care. Marian house always feels well organised, with everyone clearly understanding their role. All staff are friendly, kind, compassionate and skilled in their care of my mother. She quickly

St Raphael's has been a warm & welcoming new home for me and I greatly appreciate their care. There is a wide range of activites including regular outings staff are always kind and helpful. The food service is transitioning from an in house chef to bought in prepare meals for lunch & dinner. There are
teething issues - portion size (too small), lack of variety on menu and short notice changes. However, the team are engaging with residents to improve issues.

My mum was in Marian House for six years, until she died early January this year.
Everything about the home is really excellent, and I cannot fault it in any way.
The care Mum received throughout the six years was first class (including being treated with utmost dignity and respect at all times).
She was always clean, dressed as well as she would have wanted and her hair almost always looked immaculate (only exceptions to this were really when the hairdresser was unable to attend unexpectedly). The staff were good at spending time with Mum and taking her off to activities. I was informed every Monday of the weekly activities programme. The app was such a helpful platform, enabling me to see almost hour by hour what care interventions there had been.
The end-of-life care extended to Mum (and indeed to us as family) was quite exceptional, for which we were hugely grateful and will never forget.
We would thoroughly recommend Marian House.

My sister developed early onset dementia and moved into St Raphaels in 2015. The level of loving care she was provided with exceeded anything I could have wished for. She was initially living in the specialist dementia wing, where the staff fully understood her condition and treated her with dignity
and understanding. As her condition worsened she moved into the main house where she has lived for the last five years. Not once has she experienced any bed sores despite being bed ridden for the last few years. I can not thank the nursing staff enough for what this means for Chris and her family.

Daughter-in-Law: St. Raphael's has a very strong art program. The program runs Tues, Wed, Thurs by a capable and patient staff. The teachers meet the residents whatever their skill level. They are very experienced and change tactics to best assist the resident. I think this program is unique and helps
keep residents mentally active.

My mother lived for years on her own in a flat. After experiencing several incidents, we realised she was unable to safely care for herself and needed to move into a home. I did some extensive research and decided that Marion House was the best place for her. She has always loved gardens, and the
garden and outlook at Marian House is gorgeous.
She has now been there for 2 years and the care she receives is fantastic. I live in South Africa and have to say that before she moved, I was always worried about her. She is now in a warm, loving and caring environment.
The staff are very good at keeping me updated about her condition and are always happy to respond to any queries I have.

Mum moved to St Raphael's in 2023. She had advanced dementia and was treated with dignity and respect. The activity coordinators and staff made sure that she was stimulated and her interests met. She was a regular visitor of the cafe where the staff were extremely welcoming. She enjoyed the musical

I would highly recommend St Raphael's Nursing Home. Up till just recently, my relative was being cared for by the staff in the Rutland unit who absolutely went above and beyond to care for her needs which they carried out 110% with the utmost care, respect, compassion and professionalism. I will never
forget the comfort and support they all showed me personally and how well they took care of my relative throughout her time there. I will never forget what they did not only for my relative but for me through her palliative care they were a huge comfort to me and showed both of us such love and care. My husband moved from the family home into Marian House a few months ago. Due to his condition, he didn't settle well at first but the staff were so caring and patient with him. He now says that they are 'lovely people' and I am relieved and happy to report that he is settling into his new home.
The
care home is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent with a choice of meals to suit all tastes.
A warm and friendly ambiance greets you when you enter and the staff are always ready to answer any queries you may have. The garden to the rear is very attractive and the perfect spot in which to relax on a sunny day.
We are delighted with the care our loved one receives in Marian House.
