Our dad has been a resident in Copelands for over 2 years and we are extremely happy with his care.
The staff are very caring and take time with every resident and their families. The place is spotless and food varied and really good. Happy to have found it at a very hard and sad time. My dad actually
improved when he became a resident which is great.

My mum moved to Copelands at the start of August. She had always said she didn't want to move into a carehome. However she is 90 and had fallen a couple of times and I was concerned for her safety. Now I don't think I could get her to move back to her own home even if I wanted her to. She is so settled
and genuinely thriving, the staff are all lovely, from the care assistants and support staff to the managers (Gareth and Nigel), All the team leaders, Paul the chef and Jenny in the office. I thought mum would have spent a lot of time in her own room, but no every time I visit she is in the day room in Lighthouse mews household. She loves the company and I even found her joining in with a singsong lead by a carer. She loves to get her hair done and likes a visit to the on site coffee shop. There are lots of activities organised and a cinema room, although she hasn't joined in yet, I think she will. I honestly can say that I could not have found a better home for mum.

I am very pleased with the care my Mum is receiving. The ambience, facilities and activities at Copelands are excellent. The staff are, almost without exception, engaging and compassionate, and go the second mile to make sure Mum is comfortable and happy. Mum reports that the food has been varied
and, in the main, very tasty. The café is such an important and appreciated resource to residents and visitors, and the shortbread and other treats are delicious.

An outstanding home. I looked at several before visiting Copelands and it was quite simply head and shoulders above all of the others that I had seen. The facilities are purpose built and to a high standard. The location is spectacular with either unimpeded sea views or unimpeded views over open
countryside. The staff could not be more helpful or patient. The cleaning and laundry services are fantastic. I would confidently recommend this home to anyone.

I am very happy with all aspects of the care that mum receives at Copelands. The managers and staff have been consistently helpful, thoughtful and considerate since mum moved in, earlier this year. She has settled in well and any concerns or queries we have had have always been addressed and dealt with,
without delay.
A lot of thought has clearly gone into the design of the accommodation and facilities. Copelands has a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere and our family has every confidence that mum is receiving the very best care that we could hope for.

Very lovely residential home, friendly staff, lovely food, clean, caring and our dad is being very well looked after.

Great facilities and entertainment for residents tailored to their needs.

The design of the home has also been set up for family visiting. Lovely cafe and we have been offered

Mum has been in Kirk House for just over four years. The facilities are excellent and the care in Memory Lane for residents with dementia is second to none. Staff are very caring and helpful and have been supportive to us as a family also.
The set up of the home with a communal lounge in separate corridors
provides a family atmosphere and there are plenty of opportunities to join in activities with residents from across the home in the common room or outside garden area, including church services, musical events, craft activities and even garden parties!

Mum moved into Memory Lane November 2024. Her Flatlet is lovely. It has been personalised with furniture photos and ornaments from her home. Mum likes to sit in the Dayroom as she loves company. She enjoys the Chair Exercises, Church Services and getting her nails and hair done every week. The Staff
are brilliant. They look after Mum and she is well cared for. Mum feels safe and we have peace of mind knowing she is safe. They also look after us. Cups of tea in Dining room or if Mum has visitors in her Flatlet they bring tea. I would definitely recommend Kirk House.

A month in and we are utterly delighted with dad moving to Copelands. It really is the next level in care. Full of heart, warmth and staff who really enjoy working there. Then there is the location and building design - Wow! It will be even better still when the nursing care section opens. A great,

This is a lovely care home to walk into. The decor is gorgeous. It is stylish, bright and welcoming. The staff are very caring and friendly. They seem to know the residents really well and their fondness for them is tangible. My dear friend that I visit regularly is usually found sitting in the attractive
day room whose huge picture windows ensure the room is flooded with light. Sometimes she is playing dominoes. Sometimes she is sitting contentedly nursing a cup of tea. There are activities laid on every afternoon. There is a hairdressers. Today I noticed that her nails were beautifully manicured and she liked to show them off. There is a lovely cafe with wonderful sea views. It feels as though we are taking her out for a while although the reality is the cafe is accessed just down a pleasant corridor and through a glass panelled door.
Copelands deserves its 5 star rating.

Overall very pleasant surroundings and in a very tasteful decorative state. The care is excellent, very friendly staff who get to know the residents very well. That includes care workers, cleaners and office staff. The kitchen staff are great and get to know what residents like to eat. The cafe is an
excellent place for visitors and residents. Just a small recommendation is that maybe a little more things for the residents to do. Activities or entertainment.

My mother has been a resident in Copelands for four weeks and in that time we have seen an improvement in her mobility, health and well-being and heard her laugh for the first time in months.
The management has been supportive and informative to both my mother-in-law and us as a family in making the
decision to move from home to residential care. They are very hands on and set a great example to the rest of the staff team with their friendliness and attitude.
The staff team - whether care workers, catering or ancillary - are like an extended family always finding time to chat and provide one-to-one support through practical help and activities.
The accommodation is beautifully designed and decorated with a comfortable elegance. Private rooms are large and en-suite with everything necessary for daily living.
I would stress that it is the care and support shown by the management and staff to residents and family members that sets Copelands in a category of it's own.

I decided to enter residential care because of loneliness and as I fractured my back, I could not cope at home even with help. I have been in Kirk House for eighteen months and I have found the experience very suited to my needs. If I need care it is readily available but I am encouraged to be as independent
as possible. I deal with my own medication but senior carers will always help if I have any problems. It has been a good decision for me as my life has changed so much since the death of my husband after 66 years of marriage, I am as happy as I can be!
