Kirk House, Belfast

Mum moved into Memory Lane in Kirk House about 2 months ago. She has settled in really well. We have been so impressed with the care from all the staff. She has benefited from having company, good food and the activities offered. The home is spotlessly clean and her flatlet is perfect.

Kirk House provides exceptional personally tailored care of the highest quality. Staff are caring and professional in everything they do. There is a good variety of activities for residents and they are encouraged to take part hut not pressurised. Food is of a high standard and meal times are relaxed and enjoyable.

The staff at Kirk House are very kind and friendly - I know that my mother is in very safe hands and that they go out of their way to understand each individual's situation. I'm not in the country but the staff are so accommodating when I come back in to town and visit at hours that suit me. My mother is in Memory Lane but quite physically active so they have even taken her out for walks and done their best to encourage her to socialise. I would recommend Kirk House in a heartbeat.

My mum is a resident at Kirk House and the care she has received has been fantastic particularly in the last month after she had suffered a nasty fall. Mum has been there for over 3 years and absolutely loves it. The team led by Lyn and Sharon are excellent. I would highly recommend Kirk House.

Mum moved into Kirk House 10 months ago. She was apprehensive beforehand but from day one she has felt at ease. The staff are so friendly and supportive and go out of their way for the residents. The activities are great and Mum really feels part of a community. As she said recently "this is my home now". It is such a weight off our minds knowing Mum is happy and safe, I couldn't say enough to thank the staff for all they do.

This is my mother's first birthday at Kirk House. On 6th October 2025 at the age of 91 she entered the new world of residential care. It was like the first day of school, new people, new surroundings, new routine, the only familiarity was some furnishings from home. The staff were excellent in helping her to settle in and along with the other residents made her feel so welcome. It wasn't long before she truly felt at home. As her family we are so thankful for the help and support of Kirk House staff, they genuinely care for each resident and go out of their way to meet the specific needs of each individual. It means so much that my mother is happy and safe. Thank you

The staff are very friendly and attentive. It has a lovely atmosphere and there is always lots of activities and entertainment provided.

I am very happy with the care my aunt receives in Kirk House. She has only been there a number of months but has settled well and is very happy and content. The staff are exceptional in their commitment and attention to detail, they are well acquainted with all her needs and the family has peace of mind knowing she is being well cared for.

The staff are all friendly , professional and caring. They have made a big effort to include my shy and slightly confused mother in the activities. She is kept clean, well dressed and any medical needs are dealt with quickly and professionally, keeping me informed at all times. the food is of an excellent standard with the residents being consulted about the menus.

My mother has been with you guys since February and is very happy - she loves the big room with a great view, has no problems with any of the staff and is looking a lot healthier overall since she arrived. She particularly likes the level of freedom Kirk House gives her, she can go down to the shops any time she likes. She doesn't always go on all of the activities but does enjoy the ones she partakes in.

I have been very pleased with the care and service provided by the home. It is very well run, with excellent, caring and attentive staff who genuinely care about the residents. There is a good range of activities, the food is of a good standard, and the home is always clean and well maintained. Overall, I feel very reassured knowing that my Mum is being well cared for in a warm and welcoming environment.

Mum enjoys her food and enjoys the variety of food on offer. Any medical issues have been dealt with efficiently by the Hospital at Home team. The support from the GP is minimal. The care is excellent and communication reliable. The rooms themselves could do with an upgrade in the shower room and kitchenette. Mum enjoys getting her hair done regularly and having her nails painted is an activity she takes pride in. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kirk House.

I find all intercations with the staff very helpful and they try to do their best for my mother. I believe they have her best interests at heart. They are knowledgeable and able to answer my questions, etc. The meals are very good and adequate. The only thing I would change is washing the floor in my mother's room more frequently, but then my mother sometimes refuses that!

My Mum is so happy and well supported in Kirk. The staff are what makes this place outstanding, they are so caring and attentive. Notably the staff seem to stay in post for a long time which much be reflective of the management team and staff conditions. Off course there are some issues that are raised from time to time but the staff always acknowledge and deal with these things in a timely manner. There is great communication from the staff and management team. We really couldn't be happier with Mum's care.

Mum has been in Kirk House for just over three years and is in her late 90's. Her ability to remember things is dreadful but the staff are wonderfully kind and patient with her and make sure she can attend and fully participate in all the activities. She feels safe, respected and well cared for, which is such a blessing.

The resident care and feeling of security is excellent. I am very satisfied with staff, and care given to us is excellent.

I have been a resident in here since January 2023. As I had lived in Cherry Valley for about 50 years, I was glad not to leave the area. Kirk House being residential offered me independent living, help when needed given thoughtfully and willingly. Kirk House gives us plenty of company, but privacy as well in our rooms. There are plenty of activities. The food, cleaning and support from staff are excellent, and as there is a meeting for us all taken by management each week where no subject is banned, we can have our say about all aspects of the home. I am so glad I chose to come here.

The staff go out of their way to be helpful. I feel well looked after.
