Exceptional team of individuals who genuinely care about the residents. The manager leads with a calm and kind approach. We are so grateful to have their expertise as we navigate uncharted waters with my father in law.

We work collaboratively to adapt the care delivered to ensure he has the best possible lifestyle after some very challenging years for him.

The food is exceptional. The cleaning is to an excellent standard and the laundry is always delivered back with extra care taken for delicate fabrics.

The on site cafe gives the residents a place to entertain their visitors, removing a feeling of it being a traditional care home setting with minimal facilities.

The communications and updates are always clear and proactive. We feel well informed and love the monthly newsletter highlighting the activities.

The staff retention rate speaks for itself. It is a tough job they have yet they always smile and make you feel no request is unreasonable. Thank you Team Copelands!

I am delighted with the care and attention given to residents and family members that visit by all the staff they are so caring and pleasant at all times. If there is ever a problem there is always someone close by to attend to whoever is in need of help. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

My mum moved to Copelands at the start of August. She had always said she didn't want to move into a carehome. However she is 90 and had fallen a couple of times and I was concerned for her safety. Now I don't think I could get her to move back to her own home even if I wanted her to. She is so settled and genuinely thriving, the staff are all lovely, from the care assistants and support staff to the managers (Gareth and Nigel), All the team leaders, Paul the chef and Jenny in the office. I thought mum would have spent a lot of time in her own room, but no every time I visit she is in the day room in Lighthouse mews household. She loves the company and I even found her joining in with a singsong lead by a carer. She loves to get her hair done and likes a visit to the on site coffee shop. There are lots of activities organised and a cinema room, although she hasn't joined in yet, I think she will. I honestly can say that I could not have found a better home for mum.

I am very pleased with the care my Mum is receiving. The ambience, facilities and activities at Copelands are excellent. The staff are, almost without exception, engaging and compassionate, and go the second mile to make sure Mum is comfortable and happy. Mum reports that the food has been varied and, in the main, very tasty. The café is such an important and appreciated resource to residents and visitors, and the shortbread and other treats are delicious.

All the staff go above and beyond looking after the residents. From the beautiful cafe and staff to going into see our relatives. It's like being greeted as family. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is treated with respect and dignity.

An outstanding home. I looked at several before visiting Copelands and it was quite simply head and shoulders above all of the others that I had seen. The facilities are purpose built and to a high standard. The location is spectacular with either unimpeded sea views or unimpeded views over open countryside. The staff could not be more helpful or patient. The cleaning and laundry services are fantastic. I would confidently recommend this home to anyone.

Through a very difficult time Copelands have been outstanding in the support of my mum and even myself.From the manager right through the staff the attention and care given to mum has been fantastic ,the surroundings and comfort are top class.

A lot of thought has clearly gone into the design of the accommodation and facilities. Copelands has a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere and our family has every confidence that mum is receiving the very best care that we could hope for.

Very lovely residential home, friendly staff, lovely food, clean, caring and our dad is being very well looked after.

The design of the home has also been set up for family visiting. Lovely cafe and we have been offered lunch after travelling a distance, which is great.

A month in and we are utterly delighted with dad moving to Copelands. It really is the next level in care. Full of heart, warmth and staff who really enjoy working there. Then there is the location and building design - Wow! It will be even better still when the nursing care section opens. A great, exceptional place!

Copelands is a fine example of how care of the elderly should be provided. I did not realise that a facility like this even existed. Full marks to all the staff from the management right through to the support staff and the carers! Well done! The whole family is delighted that we found this place.

Overall very pleasant surroundings and in a very tasteful decorative state. The care is excellent, very friendly staff who get to know the residents very well. That includes care workers, cleaners and office staff. The kitchen staff are great and get to know what residents like to eat. The cafe is an excellent place for visitors and residents. Just a small recommendation is that maybe a little more things for the residents to do. Activities or entertainment.

I would stress that it is the care and support shown by the management and staff to residents and family members that sets Copelands in a category of it's own.

My mum was very content and happy during her stay at Copelands. The facilities, activities, and view were exceptional. The staff were very caring and supportive to my mums needs. She also really enjoyed the weekly church service at the home and the hairdressers!

The ratings (good) signify room for improvement. In-house communication could be much improved. Advance notice of events/arrangements is poor.

The main thing to recommend Copelands is not the beautiful building, grounds or view, it's the staff - all of whom have had dementia training and work together in a way that I have not experienced before - it is clearly for the residents' benefit. We feel blessed Mum is a resident at Copelands.

I can honestly say that I can't recommend Copelands Dementia and Residential Care highly enough - on every level - the accommodation, the location of the premises (beautiful sea views on the coast), the food, the atmosphere, the standard of care and, most of all, every single member of the incredibly dedicated and caring staff. My mum, who was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2018, moved in in April of this year, having lived at home until then and we are all - including, most importantly, Mum herself - delighted at how she has settled in. The last year has been very difficult for our family, having lost my father last November after a long period of illness and having suffered the sudden bereavement of another close family member - but from the word go, the staff and management at Copelands have been beyond helpful and supportive - not just to Mum but to all of us. Mum never stops saying how fantastic the staff are, that they can't do enough to help - and I wholeheartedly agree with her!

We have been delighted with the care and support our mother has received from the staff at Copelands Dementia and Residential Care and believe Mum could not receive the level of individual care and attention in any other home. They are always quick to respond when any issues arise and always willing to facilitate when possible. The surroundings are five-star and state of the art complemented with five restaurant quality food, the addition of the café allows you to converse with Mum and friends in a wonderful setting.
