Copelands is a contemporary and luxurious space, constructed according to the highest recognised standards in dementia-friendly design, while being domestic in feel and scale.
With a maximum capacity of only 60 residents, Copelands provides private en-suite bedrooms, with the majority enjoying views across the rolling drumlin countryside or out towards the Irish Sea.

• is fitted with an individually controlled thermostat.

Residents are encouraged, with the help of their family, to personalise their room with a special chair, family photos, favourite ornaments, or pictures etc.
*Residents must provide their own TV screen/set and each room is wired to enable the installation of a Sky box at the residents’ own expense.

Prices are applicable for Feb 2026, to January 2027. Please ask for fuller details of our current pricing structure. Prices vary between single and bariatric/ premium rooms. We do not offer Respite care at this time. For those eligible, our Trust top up contribution is £162 pw for residential care, and £267 pw for dementia care.

My mum has now been a resident in a dementia unit at the Copelands Dementia and Residential Care for almost a year and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anybody. All the management and support staff are approachable, professional, caring and keen to do whatever to make Mum comfortable. They encourage her to join in during activities but also respond to the individual wants and needs of residents on a one-to-one basis. The standards of housekeeping are exceptional and the domiciliary team members are always on the go. The standard of catering is also excellent with a varied and nutritious menu which changes regularly and individual meals are often adapted to suit the appetite of the resident. What I find really heartwarming is that all staff members from the different functions interact with the residents on a day-to-day basis which I believe helps the residents to feel at home.

I visited lots of care homes looking for somewhere for my mum to live as she was no longer managing alone. Mum has now been in Copelands Dementia and Residential Care for three months. It is the most amazing place. I love it and, more importantly, so does Mum. The facilities are great and all the staff are just lovely. I feel so welcome and part of the place. Mum still has full independence with any support she needs. Plenty of activities when she wants them and company when it suits her. I can't find one criticism. Everyone, staff, relatives and residents all seem very happy.

The experience I have had at Copelands Dementia and Residential Care since my mother became a resident has been outstanding. It was a very difficult time for our mother and the whole family during the transition of her settling in. The last two months, unfortunately, have been an outbreak of Covid but the way the staff handled the whole situation has been reassuring for myself and my siblings. I would highly recommend Copelands as they are very professional, caring, considerate and I feel my mum is blessed being a resident.
