Mum has been well cared for since June.
She loves the bathing best !
She feels the standard of food has slipped. I have always been made welcome as have my own children when visiting.
The staff have always been courteous. We have joined in many social occasions.
The new social engagement lady seems
very enthusiastic and we look forward to seeing what outings she secured as mum has enjoyed that.
Leah and Jed stand out in my mind for consistency at caring for mum.

My mother spent four years at the Yelverton Residential Home and was very well looked after. She settled in quickly and often praised the level of care given to her saying that nothing was too much trouble for the staff. In the last few days before my mother died in her room at the home it was a huge
comfort to me to know that she was being so well cared for, and I had confidence that my mother would be looked after in the best possible way. I am very grateful to all who were working there at the time and I have recommended the home to several people.

Mum has been in Yelverton twice now for respite and I have to say she really enjoyed her stays .. Staff are very caring and friendly to both myself and Mum ..
She loves the entertainment she says she has a good laugh..
Also she enjoys the food ..
In Mums words she says " It's like staying in
a hotel "
Got to say it's a relief to know I can leave her and she is happy..
Thanks to all

The Long Brook residential home was the perfect find for our dear mum. The minute we stepped through the door on our first viewing, we knew it was a homely home. Mum enjoys the activities when she wants to join in with the other residents or when she wants her quiet time. She enjoys the view from her
room. The manager and all the team are friendly and professional. The lovely homemade food is another aspect that makes Long Brook a great choice.
Reply from Carrie Bailey, Admin Manager at The Long Brook Residential HomeThank you for this lovely review. I'm glad to hear that your mum is settled and happy living here with us. Our team works hard to ensure it's a place they can truly call home.

This care home is excellent. My mother has settled in well and made friends with other residents. Thestaff are all friendly and helpful. The food is all homemade and very good. Her room is lovely with a wonderful view from Monday to Friday. The gardens are well laid out and accessible. The home is very
clean. I would choose to live here if I needed residential care.

The care provided for mum was excellent, the staff were all friendly, approachable and helpful. The whole process, from the initial enquiry, the visit, admission and admin. were all dealt with in an understanding and sympathetic manner. Mum was very happy with the location, her room, facilities, activities
and care provided by all of the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending Long Brook.

It was Mum's first time away for us. She was apprehensive but the staff put her at ease. She had a problem with her blood pressure meds but the staff and doctor sorted it out. She had a fright on her first night but it was sorted and no more trouble. Everyone was very kind and gentle with her and she
felt safe and cared for. Hopefully she can visit again in May. Thank you to everyone who looked after Mum.

Welcoming, friendly, go the extra mile, very caring and meets the needs of individuals.
My mum has stayed at this residential home on respite on several occasions and she is so happy to stay there.
The staff are so professional, they are all approachable and nothing is too much trouble.
The residents
are entertained daily, stimulated and well cared for.
Clean and well-kept home. Could not ask for more when we place Mum in their care.

My mother has been here for just over 12 months and she is very happy. The standard of care given is very high. Each time I visit the same staff are on duty which is paramount in continuity of care. The food is of a high standard and the fact my mother has a small appetite is always observed and she
enjoys her meals. The standard of cleanliness is top class (her room is always spotless) as is that of the laundry. None of my mother's clothing has been lost or misplaced. I looked after my mother full-time before she went into care and I have total peace of mind of the care she receives at The Yelverton which is a great comfort to my mum and myself.

Really pleased with the care my mother receives at Longbrook. It's taken a lot off my mind, knowing that she is safe and well there.
One of the plus points is the activities that she is able to attend. She loves them and wishes they were available at weekends too! The staff are really friendly and
she enjoys her little chats with them. They listen to her, which is important.
Her health needs are well catered for. Overall a wise decision to place her there.

Friendly, happy and professionally run. You get one chance of a first impression and I was impressed. The whole establishment had a great 'feel' about it and I knew it was the place to bring my mum. Everyone went about with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. I am eternally grateful for how they
looked after my mother.
