My uncle is a resident at Clovelly House and yesterday he had a fall and had to be admitted to hospital. The staff at the home were amazing and dealt with everything in a professional and very caring manner. I was contacted and informed of what had happened and I went to stay with my uncle whilst waiting
for the ambulance. The staff on duty (although at there busiest time) kept coming to check on my uncle and me. The senior on duty went above and beyond, she stayed on until the ambulance arrived and dealt with them and ensured they had all relevant information, and when he was taken to the hospital she then had to complete all the relevant paperwork. I left around 10.20pm and she was still there. My uncle was fine and discharged back to the home the next morning. Knowing that my uncle is so well taken care of gives me so much peace of mind. A lovely home and amazing staff.

Mum has resided at St George's for nearly 2 years, initially for respite and then permanently. The manager and staff put our family's mind at rest when we had to make the really tough decision for her to stay. She receives great care from the really friendly and kind staff, we can't thank them enough.

Dad been in the home for about 2 years. He is always clean and shaven even though he bedridden. The home is an old house so place looks a bit tired but the care is caring and respectful. It don't matter what time I go in the staff are always cheerful and nothing to much trouble and feels like a partnership
between them and me. I recommend this home for your loved ones as I have been most satisfied.

St Georges nursing home can not be rated highly enough. My wife is receiving the best possible care, the rooms are pleasant and spotlessly clean, the food is excellent' the staff the manager, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners in fact everyone involved are friendly, respectful, caring and very helpful.
The home has a homely feel to it After hearing countless horror stories I can honestly say that I am so thankful that my wife found a place in St Georges. i really appreciate the extra effort that all the staff give.

My mum has resided in St George's for 5 months now. I was very dubious at first as I had read some not so good reviews BUT both me and my family are very happy with the care here. They take my mums wants and needs seriously and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are amazing and very friendly
also. My mum is happy here x

I cannot thank the team at St George's enough for the incredible care and compassion they have shown my father during his time with them. Knowing that he is safe, well looked after, and treated with genuine dignity has brought so much peace of mind to our family.
The staff are not only professional,
but truly kind. They take the time to get to know each resident and treat them as individuals, not just as patients. I've witnessed many quiet acts of kindness, warmth, and dedication that reflect a standard of care that goes far beyond what's expected.
The home is always clean, welcoming, and well-managed, and communication with the family has been excellent. Any concerns we've had have been listened to and addressed with care and respect.
It's never easy placing a loved one in care, but I can say with confidence that we made the right choice. Thank you all for everything you do, it means more than words can express.

My mum has been in Clovelly for over a year now so my review is not solely for February 25 but from the time she entered her 'new home'. Mum never complains about her care and only has good words which she freely offers me without any prompting. She regularly says "you know they're very good to me here".
She is happy in her environment, loves the fun Fridays with music and enjoys crafting with one staff member in particular, I comment on the little things she's made. She enjoys the food and never says she wants to go to her old home. I'm always pleased to see mum, she is always well presented and her bedroom is beautiful. She has her hair done weekly and nails regularly. Clovelly arrange outgoings for the residents and include family members if they wish. I wouldn't place my mum anywhere else.

I cannot speak highly enough of all staff at St George's from the manager, admin team, carers, nurses even the kitchen staff and cleaners. All so helpful caring and always wanting to go that bit further for you all the time.
My dad was loved and cared wonderfully by each and every member of staff.
They
make the best pot of tea :-)!
I can highly recommend St George's on anyone who sadly needs respite or to place a relative in a care home.

Initially, I was taken aback by the rather rundown interior of St George's Nursing Home.
My concerns were quickly allayed after meeting with management.
They are professional, warm, understanding, calm and kind people.
Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
During my partners stay there were
some challenging situations, including room changes. Management and their staff were supportive with all the changes and illness issues we had to deal with.
He was always clean and well fed. He was a tricky customer with food, so they did very well there.
When he felt well enough they took him to the High Street in his wheelchair.
The staff quickly realised a cheeky conversation would put a big smile on his face and any discussion about Leeds United was very welcome.
All the carers treated the residents with respect and kindness. There was nice interaction with everyone.
I will be eternally grateful for the care and support St Georges gave him in his final months. Thank you.

Such a warm friendly welcome Clovelly staff greet me with, when I go to see mum. It's good to know she is well loved and looked after. After a short stay in hospital, mum arrived at Clovelly smiling and waving saying to the staff I'm home, this gives me such peace of mind knowing she is happy in her
surroundings. The weekly arts and crafts and entertainment is always enjoyed by mum and it's always good to see the staff joining in on the social media page .

The care team provided amazing care for my father during his stay. The food was excellent and they managed to stabilise his weight loss. They were able to help with the healing of a bed sore he got whilst in his own home and managed to get him walking again. Their advice on walking aids was invaluable.
My father stayed in 3 care homes during his illness and Royston continues to be the only home he talks of because he enjoyed his stay there so much.

My mother arrived at St George's having been given 3 weeks to live following a stroke. That was five years ago! The care that she received helped her recover and she was soon able to chat away to her family during our visits. It is never easy entrusting the care of a loved one to others, but St. George's
staff's kindness, compassion, and professionalism made all the difference for our family. The warmth and patience they showed her over the years, especially during her more challenging days, made a real difference. It gave her family great comfort to know that she was surrounded by people who genuinely cared for her well-being and whose dedication made a significant difference in her quality of life, and for that, her family are profoundly thankful.

My mum moved to Clovelly House earlier this year and has settled in extremely well. She is happy, comfortable, and so very well looked after. She loves the entertainment and enjoys the crafting activities, as well as the days out now and again. She mentions the lovely food every time we visit and can't
praise the staff enough for their care and attention. It's peace of mind for us all knowing she is happy and content, getting the very best care from all the wonderful staff there.
Thank you all.

St George's cared for my wife with dignity and kindness for the 12 months she resided in the nursing home. I would like to thank all the staff nurses and carers.
An area for improvement: the app my daughters were given access to did not actually provide any useful updates. This could have helped in
providing better communication on medical and health progress updates. In-person updates, on doctor visits, test results or health progress was not delivered to the family as timely as we would have liked.

My mother has been in St George's for several years now. I have to say that the care she has had has been excellent. The carers always treat her with dignity and respect, even when she has been agitated, which must be hard. I have occasionally arrived while they are giving her care and so witness their
gentle but clear and confident approach to her, which helps her calm down.
The manager listens carefully to any concerns and we hear about plans for the home in the regular relatives meetings.
Because the home is small there is a family feel about it. The communal room may not be the most spacious room, but we really have some fun there when there are gatherings of various sorts. I am happy to recommend it.

My father has been in care for the past few days at St George's. He was well looked after and cared for during the time he was a resident. There were a few occasions improvements could have been made as when I visited not always the warmest of welcomes after travelling two hours. However, on my father's
final journey, the carers could not have been more helpful or compassionate and treated my father with respect and dignity.

My granny moved to Clovelly House in 2023 and has loved it from the moment she got there. She looks forward to the activities and entertainment each week, especially the arts and crafts which she enjoys sharing with us when we visit. The staff are brilliant and always attentive to her every need! Granny
enjoys the food each day, especially the freshly cooked cakes! We are always welcomed when visiting by both the staff and other residents, and recently she has enjoyed spending her first Christmas amongst her new friends.
