It is a relief to know that at Fairfield, my dad is safe, happy and well cared for. The whole team is amazing and provides a lovely, friendly, homely atmosphere. Managers are easy to talk to and very supportive. Nursing and care staff are patient, kind and caring. Support staff are friendly and helpful,
and happy to stop for a chat. My dad is very happy and settled at Fairfield.

My family and I were so relieved when mum was accepted for a place at Fairfield. We visited prior to her move from the hospital and were immediately impressed with the positive interactions between the staff and residents, and also the facilities. Mum has now been at Fairfield for five months and we
are so happy with the care she receives, she is treated with dignity and her needs are met with compassion. There are regular planned activities, which mum enjoys, and a lovely garden for the residents to enjoy. The food is freshly cooked and well balanced. There is effective communication with the family; we are kept informed about any medical issues by the doctor who visits weekly, and any other issues are discussed with us by the managers or the nursing team. It is so good to know that mum is now in a safe environment, being cared for by friendly and attentive staff. I would highly recommend .

My Mum moved into Fairfield nearly 2 years ago. It was a difficult decision after trying several care homes in Dorset. They were not equipped to deal with my Mums needs. All changed when Fairfield was able to provide the best possible healthcare which she required. She has been given the care that she
needs and all the staff makes the whole family feel very welcome, especially my Dad who visits everyday.

My Mother came into Fairfield after nine weeks of hospital care after breaking her hip and leg. That was August 2025
She has had excellent nursing care and the carers here are have made her stay so much easier, being so respectful and kind, they always have a smile too.

Dad moved into Fairfield after spending two months in hospital. He was diagnosed with complex medical needs requiring 24/7 care. From the outset the staff at Fairfield went above and beyond their regular duties to ensure that my father was cared for with the utmost care and attention. Even prior
to moving we found the Manager extremely helpful in assisting with the transition from hospital to the care home, ensuring that a full assessment of his medical needs was undertaken prior to admission and giving particular attention to the transition. This was a very worrying time for the family and we were reassured by the kindness and support shown by not only the manager but the entire medical and caring team.
Dad has settled well into Fairfield and we remain really impressed by the high levels of care, the quality of the food and the cleaniness of his room.
I would not hesitate to recommend the Fairfield Care Home to those in search of an outstanding care provider.

My mum has been a resident at Astell House since mid-2025. I have been hugely impressed by the care she has received since day one. The staff are fantastic - they are as friendly and helpful as they could be and I have always seen them treat the residents with warmth, understanding and genuine care.
There is a lovely atmosphere about the place. Mum has consistently told me how good the staff are to her, she likes the food and partakes in some of the many activities that are held. The home is well-managed and any concerns or questions that I've raised with the management have been quickly responded to and satisfactorily answered/resolved. The building itself is lovely - a nice mix of old, traditional and modern.
In short, I would recommend Astell House for anyone looking for a care home for an elderly relative.

The level of care provided at Fairfield is second to none and his safety and security has been st the forefront of every conversation. We have visited Dad on a fortnightly basis over the past few months and have left happy every

The staff are very attentive and helpful and supportive in helping my father to settle into the home. He tells me the food is top notch and the staff very helpful. The management have been helpful in accommodating our needs and time lines.

Mum moved into Fairfield at the end of May 25 after 2 months in hospital. As a family we immediately felt she would like Fairfield, be comfortable in her room and it met her nursing needs very well. From day 1 management and staff were so friendly with Mum and attentive to us as a family which we
appreciated. It was obvious to us that she was happy there and was treated with dignity and compassion which is so important. Unfortunately and unexpectedly she became ill early in July 25 but was able to remain at Fairfield to be cared for and kept comfortable during her last few days until she died. Certainly our experience of Fairfield albeit brief was very positive and we say a big 'thank you' to all involved in her care.

My dad was in the care home for 3 weeks until he passed away. In these 3 weeks my dad was looked after amazingly. We visited every other day and every visit the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome and relaxed.
All staff both day and night were supportive and caring to both my dad and the
family.
They always kept us informed on everything that was happening.
I would like to thank them for all they did and making my dad comfortable and giving us support throughout.
A great team and they should all be very proud of what they do.

When I visit Mum, I always find the staff calm and helpful.
Mum has been at Fairfield for 4 months now, and every visit I find her happy and settled. I find the home clean, good food, and it looks like the staff work as a team and nothing is too much trouble.
The other nice thing I've noted is that
all the staff sit with residents and talk and spend time with them.

We were very grateful for Astell Houses warm welcome and kind reception. Our issues being taken into account and well managed. For al the care, attention and willing to help. We were glad to sit quietly for meals in the conservatory.
Overall, Astell House is a cheerful, busy and welcoming home.

As I live in Yorkshire, I do a lot of video calls with Mum and the staff are only too pleased to set up Mum's tablet. Everyone is so helpful. When I do visit we are always asked and provided with a cup of tea. If we are there lunch time we always asked to have lunch. On my last visit they provided a
guest room (which was very clean) and provided supper and breakfast. The home is so clean and the staff are always kind and courteous, nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Mum is so relaxed and comfortable with all the staff. Such a great happy and loving atmosphere.

I actually can't praise Astell House and all the staff and management highly enough. My dad, who has Alzheimer's, has been a resident for almost a year. The home has always been very open, welcoming and warm. The staff have also always been very attentive and helpful.
My parents had a big anniversary
yesterday and they went above and beyond for them both. Mum went to have tea with Dad. They laid and decorated a special table in his room, with an afternoon tea; cakes, sandwiches, nibbles, flowers, and decorations. It was so lovely. Thank you.
My dad is also a steam train fanatic. It was a bit too much for us to be able to take him ourselves, so again, in the summer, the home stepped up. Two carers brought him from the home to the station and took him back again... in their own time. We were made up that we could make this happen for Dad, but we couldn't have done it without them.

My friend has now been a resident for 2 years. We were so pleased to find Astell House. It is a warm, caring, homely environment. Where the staff truly care about their residents. Food is very good and varied, catering to individual taste. There is plenty of outside space, gardens, patios and a beautiful
summerhouse that can be used by residents and family/friends. My friend is particularly pleased to be able to access fresh air in a nice environment. Of course the most important thing with a home is good management and staff. All the staff at Astell are fantastic, we are so grateful for all that they do for my friend.

My grandma has been a resident at Fairfield for a while now. She seems happy and content. The staff are friendly and helpful. Grandma's room is lovely. It's in the new build part. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit.
