Mum has not been well lately, she has pneumonia at the moment and is being cared for so well. Staff always ring me if there is anything they think I should know. When Mum is well, they all look after her with care and dignity.

My father went into the home following ill health, and it was a decision taken out of our hands. All staff made him feel safe and secure, which put all our minds at rest. The staff made it their mission to settle Dad and enable him to take part in activities and lunch in the dining room.
We are very
grateful for the kindness, compassion and care provided by the whole team. A lovely, friendly team of staff that made us very welcome and looked after Dad in his final weeks.
Reply from Claire Douglas, Clinical Director at Glendale CourtThank you so much for your kind words; we truly appreciate your feedback. I'm glad that our team was able to make him feel safe, comfortable, and included, and that it brought your family some peace of mind during a difficult time.

I was privileged to be able to attend the choir concert at Resthaven, which was very enjoyable. The choir members sang with enthusiasm and gusto and looked very professional in their choir t-shirts. There was a great variety of songs and audience participation was encouraged too. Everyone seems to enjoy
themselves - a fantastic afternoon. Looking forward to the next one.

My wife's dad went into the home in Aug 2025. It was not an easy entry for the management & staff. he hasn't got a diagnosis and he was difficult. We have been so impressed and can't thank all the staff enough. Especially the staff who deal with him and the person in charge of medicines. Always happy,
always informative, always keen to help etc. The ladies and gentlemen in there seem so settled. Well done to all the staff.

Glendale Court is such a warm and homely care home. The staff are lovely and always willing to help & listen. They treat my mum with respect and dignity. She smiles when a member of staff enters the room. The assistant manager goes above & beyond to ensure staff and residents are cared for properly
and cares deeply.

A cheerful welcome at reception and from the staff in the conservatory where my mother was seated. The big, airy room was clean and tidy and the friendly staff offered us tea/coffee. We passed my mother's room when leaving and this too was very clean, neat and tidy. A very good visit.

Resthaven is an exceptional care home.
Our mother had complex and rapidly evolving needs as her ongoing paralysis grew steadily worse. Her brain remained as sharp as mustard till the day she died, but by the end, she was paralysed from the neck down, could hardly talk and needed help with every aspect
of life and personal care.
The Resthaven staff were consistently kind, attentive and patient - listening carefully to her and treating mother with real dignity and respect to the end.
In our experience, Resthaven fosters a staff that is that rare combination of being ultra-professional and well-trained with genuine human warmth and a patient-first mentality.
We can't thank them enough.
Reply from Karen West, Home Manager at Resthaven Care HomeThank you for such a very positive review. We are very happy that we were able to offer and deliver the care that your mother-in-law required to live a life that she felt allowed her to maintain her dignity.

We visit my brother-in-law every week. We have a 2-hour journey from Wales and invariably, when we arrive, we are offered tea and a warm welcome. My brother-in-law is well cared for and always washed and dressed when we arrive. He has settled in well and thanks to all the staff, has made good relationships
with both carers and patients. The facilities are good and meet his needs. We are particularly impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff we have encountered. The cleanliness of his room and all service areas is of a high standard. The whole family are impressed and grateful that he has found a d second home.

My mother has been a resident at Glendale Court for six months. She was initially reluctant to stay but having regular meals, toilet assistance and friendly, chatty carers has changed her opinion and she now realises that she is better cared for and less lonely than living in her old home. Mum would
prefer that her meals were a little warmer and her view from her room is only a blank wall. The resident's call alarm is situated outside her room but as she is hard of hearing this is not an issue. Mum is very content now and in good health.

The staff have been committed over several years to the care of my mother. There have been times when they have gone beyond just a professional and efficient service. I think they have got to know my mother and often make her smile. I am very grateful to this hard-working team of individuals. They are
kind, not only to my mother but to her family as well.

This has been a really valuable group to meet other residents' families and gain some peer support. It's reassuring to know you're not alone. The group and the staff at Resthaven provide a safe space to talk about the challenges we face as family members and it's lovely to hear and share positive experiences.
