Our relatives were in Plas Garnedd for 3 to 4 years prior to their passing and throughout their stay they found the home to be very caring and welcoming and it definitely made the final years of their lives much more comfortable, safe and enjoyable.

I've living here since August 2025. I settled in very well and I'm contented here. The staff are very caring and always helpful. The food is high standard.

All aspects of living at Plas Garnedd is 1st Class. The personal care, together with medical and day to day living conditions in a bilingual environment an excellent. I settled in immediately after arriving, made friends with other residents quickly. Plas Garnedd is a happy place to live.

Plas Garnedd care home can be described as home from home. The standards of the care and home is excellent every aspect. We, all close family, are totally comfortable, and pleased to have intrusted the care of my wife to Plas Gardnedd.

My mother has been a resident for nearly 2 years and has settled well. She has been well cared for and the staff are always caring and provide excellent care. The home is always clean and tidy and mum is quite happy to participate in activities if she is able to. She has been able to get books through the library service and looks forward to meeting up with other residents at lunchtime.

All the staff are lovely there nothing is too much trouble for them.

Our mother who is 103, is a resident of Plas Garnedd and is more than happy in the way that she is being cared for.

My relative would prefer to manage their own medication but we accept that this is not the practice at Plas Garnedd.

My mother in law has been a resident at Plas Garnedd since February and has settled in well from the beginning thanks to all the caring staff. She tells us that she is well looked after on all levels from personal care, meals and company etc. She receives excellent care and despite staff always being busy they will always find the time to listen. We find all the staff at Plas Garnedd approachable and they willingly answer any questions we may have.

My Father moved to Plas Garnedd in February 2026 from another care home. I am a retired nurse and have had experience of a number of care homes locally both for my mother who had dementia and passed away 2 years ago and more recently for my father. He had a lovely room it was warm and clean and comfortable and he really enjoyed the food. There were always choices for him if something was not quite to his liking. My brother and I were made to feel welcome and I was kept informed if there were any problems. I understand the difficulties and emotional feelings involved when choosing a care home, from both a nursing and personal perspective. My father has recently passed away and I have written to the owners and manager of Plas Garnedd expressing my heartfelt gratitude to all the members of staff. My father was treated with compassion, respect and dignity especially in his final moments.

As Dad's health inevitably deteriorated, the end of life care he received by the staff at Plas Garnedd enabled him to pass quietly and with dignity.

Mother in law has been at Plas Garnedd since January. The service they provide to residents is excellent and provide up to date relevant information to the family in a timely manner. The staff are helpful, caring and committed to ensuring the residents have the best care. We don't know how we would have coped without the understanding nature of the manager at the home, who is always open, honest supportive of us as a family.

The building is kept at a high quality of cleanliness, fresh, comfortable and suitable for older adults whom may have disabilities of physical health restrictions. We have been able to move a lot of our Mothers personal furniture from her home to change the room to make it more familiar to her. We as a family have been made very welcome and in the centre of her care.

She says that the food is very good.

On the 2nd November 2017, my Mum reached 100 years old. The staff at the home went beyond their normal duties to make her (and our) day very special. They supplied a wonderful buffet and a fabulous cake. The made us all (about 20 of us) very welcome. The girls made sure that Mum looked really nice and that she enjoyed her day. I live 300 miles away, so knowing my mum is cared for with respect and dignity is a huge weight off my mind. My sister lives close and she gives me regular updates. They are always very positive. The home is spotlessly clean. The staff are all kind. The food is very good. And the Care is excellent. I couldn’t be happier leaving my lovely mum in their very capable hands. Thank you all.

As the sole carer for a very dear friend, it was imperative she was 'placed' in a residential care home which would provide the very best level of care available.

For 9 months she received professional nursing skill, kindness, compassion and affection from the staff caring for her.

I cannot praise this organisation enough for their professional standards - at all levels.

I visit the home twice a week normally and have always found staff and management very friendly and supportive. The fact that my husband has settled well there speaks volumes about the care he received.
