The staff at Penerley Lodge are the most helpful and friendly people!
Whenever I have a query, I know they will be really responsive by email, in person or by phone and they will always have time for a quick chat!
Nothing is too much trouble for them!
Thank you to all the staff for making a lovely home for my dad.
Thank you so much for a wonderful review. I am so pleased that you recognise the dedication from our staff I will be sure to pass these wonderful words on to them.
A friend of mine was in Penerley Lodge for the past three years. He recently passed away towards the end of his time there. He developed dementia and double incontinence, and he became a bit bolshy, but the staff at Penerley Lodge was very patient with him. During my visits, it was usually very calm - well managed. The resident was happy & mostly happy to join in activities; he always looked clean & well cared for. The care home was always clean, and staff were pleasant and answered any questions I had willingly.
My mother is 97 with dementia and suffers with anxiety.
Since she has been here her medications have been reduced and she is much calmer.
The staff are all really nice and look after her and all the other residents really well.
I am here alot so see it all first hand.
It is very laid back which gives it a calming vibe.
I cannot thank them enough as this has made my visits alot easier.
Mum never used to want me to leave her now she waves me off!
I would recommend Penerley without any hesitation.
A wonderful review to read, thank you for your kind words. Mum took some time to settle but we put plans in place to make bed time more relaxing with her hot milk and bath and it has worked a treat! It is lovely to learn that you both feel more relaxed, especially when leaving it can be hard...
On my mum's birthday the staff at Penerley served us tea and birthday cake and put some music on so we could enjoy a dance together.
It made it a very special afternoon and my mum really enjoyed herself.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I am glad the team at Penerley provided outstanding attention to detail and a wonderful day for your Mother and her visitors. I will pass your words of gratitude to the team!
She had a very enjoyable day. Penerley is a lovely care home, and all the staff are caring people.
Thank you for your lovely review, especially regarding Mums 95th Elvis themed Birthday. We always pride ourselves in delivery person centered care to each and every one of our residents and glad to hear that we succeeded that in the Elvis theme! Thank you for always being so supportive to the Penerley Lodge Team! I will be sure to pass your gratitude to them.
All care staff went above and beyond to make my mother's special Birthday celebration a happy and memorable day for her and the family. They take great care on a daily basis ensuring she is well looked after, all her needs are met and that she feels comfortable and relaxed.
I am delighted to read that we fulfilled your families expectations in giving your Mother a wonderful 90th Birthday, nothing would be possible without the support from you as families and we are so very lucky at Penerley Lodge to have families like yourselves that have so much input. I will ensure the whole team have sight of your wonderful review and will pass your commendations to them.
I am a regular visitor to Penerley Lodge and always find the staff very friendly. We love to go to all the events and Christmas was wonderful. Presents for all! Mum's always kept clean and tidy. Me and my family are happy Mum is being well looked after.
Thank you for your kind words, we are so glad to learn you are happy with the care provided to your mum and of course how you love attending Penerley Lodge Events'. We will be sure to see you at our next event!
My nan has just been accepted to Penerley Lodge. Obviously this is a such a stressful time for my nan and her family. I visited her and was very happy with the home and the staff seem great. It's early days but I feel positive about the situation.
Thank you for your review. I am very happy to hear your positive first impressions of Penerley Lodge. Rest assured your nan will continue to be happy with us, she has settled very well. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.
Mum has a nice room, with an en-suite and she's making friends and family are close by so we get to take her out regularly and keep an eye on her. It's always tricky getting the balance right as mum is quite capable of wanting to make a cup of tea but health and safety and the wide range of conditions other residents have means she can't have that freedom which is understandable. For us moving mum into Penerley was devastating but we know she's safe and being looked after and that's the best you can hope for in these situations. It's not a huge place but I'd like to see a smaller quiet TV/reading room away from the main lounge and bustle.
Thank you for your commendations of our services; we sincerely appreciate it. We prioritized the safety and well-being of our residents. We intend to uphold the standard and ensure your satisfaction! Thank you for selecting Penerley!
My father spent the last four years of his life in Penerley Lodge and I am very happy that he did. The staff members were caring and compassionate, and a genuine rapport was built with him. He was well looked after, clean, and comfortable, and communication about any doctors or hospital appointments which he had were good. We were always welcomed when we visited, and when my father sadly passed away, his friends from Penerley Lodge were brought along to attend his funeral. Along with the lovely floral tribute which was also sent, this exceeded our expectations. We will always be grateful to Penerley Lodge for the care which they provided to my father.
Thank you for your excellent review. We have relayed your commendations to our team. It was great trusting us to care for your dad. Penerley Lodge Care Home is committed to delivering exceptional experiences to all residents, and they will be pleased to learn that they have succeeded with you. We value feedback to assist us in enhancing our services.
My mum was well cared for, and I was always kept informed about her health and care.
I usually visited a least twice a week and was made to feel very welcome, often joining in with the activities in the afternoons.
Sadly, my mum passed away in June, but the care she and my family were given at the end of her life was exemplary.
Many thanks to you all for the support and care you gave my mum and family.
Thank you very much for your kind review. It is lovely to read that you were happy with the care your mum received. Penerley Lodge is the place where your loved ones will be cared for as you do for them at home. My mum spent nearly three years at Penerley and with exceptional care from the ladies in the kitchen, housekeepers and maintenance guy to the head carers, she flourished. Outstanding staff! The support I received in Mum's last days was something I will never forget. Thank you, everyone, at Penerley Lodge.
Thank you for your highly appreciated kind comments! We are pleased to have provided care for your mother and to observe that your family had a high level of confidence in our team. Both the staff and residents held profound affection for your mother. She showed outstanding kindness and generosity...
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The care manager, general manager and admin are all a huge asset to this place. They are all so helpful and go above and beyond to ensure Mum is happy. Excellent communication between the home and myself, they will call to check/clarify things. There is a lady who is also very lovely and always willing to help.

We were absolutely delighted to receive your 5-star review! We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to our dedicated staff team to inspire their ongoing commitment to excellence.
we were pressured to pay extra for 1:1 care, having been reassured that they were able to cater for dementia.
We greatly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Please understand that your situation was unique. As other evaluations attest, we have a reputation for assuming responsibility and demonstrating profound concern for our residents. While rectifying past errors may be unattainable, I am...
Good feeling on the inital viewing and the residents all looked happy and well cared for. The staff look happy and enjoy their work and good interactions with residents.
I hope that when the time does arrive for me to seek assisted living that I may be fortunate enough to come here.
We would always welcome you when the time arrives!
My brother has been a resident for a little over a year. After a recent stay in the hospital, he has returned to the home. He was so happy to be back at the home and the care has been utterly brilliant. He now needs more care than before and this has been provided by the excellent carers. Their attention to detail is exceptional and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. It's as if the staff are members of my family.
"Thank you for your kind words! We're glad you're happy with our service" It goes a long way in making our staff feel appreciated.
We, as a family, are very pleased with Penerley Lodge. All the staff looked after my dad very well.
Thank you for your review, it is lovely to hear!
