My Mother was at Fairmount for three and a half years. She was reluctant to move in but settled in well and enjoyed the routine and activities offered. The Care staff and Management were always kind and patient. Any concerns we had were dealt with promptly and professionally. I was particularly impressed with the care she was given in her final 6 months. The carers went over and above to check that she was comfortable and treated with compassion and dignity. Thank you Fairmount.
Thank you for taking the time to write a lovely review. I will pass on your lovely comments to the staff.
A friend of ours went into the home in March 2023 and I can honestly say she had the best of care. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much bother. The house felt very homely, everywhere is clean and relaxed, plenty of activities to keep residents amused, meals are fresh and well prepared, clothing laundered everyday and medical assistance is available when needed. The grounds are lovely and well kept, residents are able to enjoy the fresh air in a safe environment. Management and staff work hard to ensure the wellbeing of the people in their care and are always willing to answer any questions. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I will pass on your comments to the staff.
Dad went to Fairmount 11/22 and I can truly say care from the start the team have the highest standards. The home is clean cosy and bright. Walking in feels like home. The team are welcoming and they genuinely care for the residents. We are part of the Fairmount family and the staff are happy to communicate we feel, blessed that dad is here. The management team make time for residents to explain processes.
Very organised. Lots of staff to help residents with fun daily activities. Access to dedicated GP, podiatrist etc. Hygiene control is a high standard, and visiting times are well managed. Residents' dignity is paramount it's natural. Dad is in the safest place. The team always make time to chat and suggest items to bring for dad. Clothing is well cared for and cleaned daily. Catering goes above and beyond providing outstanding meals. Dad settled my last visit after 40 min said it's been lovely to see you I need to get back to the others. Went home with a happy heart knowing he is safe and well looked after. Well done Fairmount medals for outstanding commitment to your residents.

My husband transferred to Fairmount following a fall. He has vascular dementia and following assessment remained in care. This year marks one year of his stay. At the start there were a few minor hiccups but they were rapidly sorted. Mainly due to my stress/guilt and being unaware of procedures. Fairmount is an excellent home for my husband. The setting is homely but efficient for its purpose. My only problem is the location. I do not have a car and have difficulty visiting but that's personal. My husband's appearance is clean, groomed and cared for. His bedroom is faultless, as are the other areas in the home. Beautiful garden facilities and varied activities are regularly organised by a good activity team. The Fairmount team, from the manager, carers, and admin to background unseen staff are always welcoming and helpful and respond to requests or problems with efficiency and positivity. I feel safe and comforted to leaving my husband in Fairmount's excellent care and surroundings. Thank you to all.
Thank you for your review, I will pass on your kind words to the staff at Fairmount.
My mother has been a resident at Fairmount for the past three years. I have always found the staff to be considerate, kind and polite when dealing with my Mother. During the Pandemic, the home made an effort to make sure that I was able to see my mother each week by means of window visits. My Mother always appears to be in good spirits when I visit her. The staff are friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Her room is spacious and always tidy and clean. The areas where the residents sit are clean and warm and the gardens out the back have a big veranda where residents can sit in the Summer. My mother is 94 years old and sadly suffers with dementia. In my opinion, she has the best care at Fairmount.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are very lucky to have a great team at the home and we will pass on your lovely comments to the home.
On the recommendation of Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough Kent, my wife was placed in Fairmount Care Home for a period of six weeks following being discharged from hospital after completing surgery and treatment for a fall at home resulting in a damaged hip. My wife sadly suffers from dementia. The care that my wife received was excellent. The buildings are spacious and very clean, but most importantly the staff are professional and very caring of their guests. My wife has now returned home having benefited hugely from her time spent at Fairmount and if in the future she should need to return to residential care I would be entirely happy for Fairmount to provide this.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are very pleased you were happy with the care your wife received and pleased she has benefited from her stay at Fairmount Residential Home. I will pass on your lovely comment to the staff.
I just wanted to say thank you to the staff and management for looking after my nan. Everyone has been so caring and considerate to both my nan and my family. We are all so grateful. It is so nice to see my nan smile and laugh.

My mother moved into Fairmount, after being in another care home and a very bad experience. I cannot praise this home and staff enough. My mother has a beautiful room and has been extremely well cared for. The staff are so helpful, and although we haven't been able to go in, we have been able to visit regularly. We are kept updated on activities etc with a weekly email. Mum will be 96 in March and has dementia, so we were so relieved that she has settled and is happy. She has gained some weight and looks a lot healthier. Nothing you ask is too much trouble, and the manager and staff are always helpful. We are looking forward to going into the beautiful garden with mum soon.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are very pleased that your mother has settled in well at Fairmount and I will pass on your lovely comments to the Home Manager and staff.
My Mum has lived in Fairmount since May 2017. So far we are happy with everything in the home. She is well looked after and is as settled as she will every be considering her dementia. The home is clean and bright, it is a welcoming place to visit. The food is good and cooked on the premises. The care is good and all residents are treated with dignity. There are many activities going on, group get-togethers, one to one and entertainment brought in.

My mum went to Fairmount for 2 weeks respite care. She seemed to be treated very well. She was clean, tidy, well fed and entertained.

The kindness and compassion shown by the carers at Fairmount are what sets it apart from other care homes. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The place is spotless and the food always of a very high standard. The entertainment and activities organised at Fairmount are interesting and varied. Individual interests are catered for with everyone being encouraged to join in at their own level. The family members are always welcome too. A wonderful home for my mum.

I live in Ireland so do not get to visit as often as I could if I was local. However, on each visit, I have found the staff friendly and attentive, the home to be clean and welcoming and the residents happy. I really like the look and feel of the building. It is like a family home and not institutional at all. All in all, I am happy that my mother is here.

My grandmother has been a resident for 2 years and she is happy and well cared for. The carers are the best I've seen. They look after nan and use humour and kindness. The entertainment team are brilliant. Always something going on and they always include all residents and us if we want too!

I came to visit my best friend's mother who has been my family friend since childhood. The atmosphere and staff are amazing. I met the care home manager and I am so impressed with the love and care. I became emotional on seeing her room. It was beautiful. The extra special care on making each hallway into different themes was incredible. The joke box bought back beautiful memories. Thank you.

Dad has only recently arrived but the improvement in him is great to see. All the staff have gone out of their way to welcome us and get to know about dad. There is a lot of interaction with staff and residents which is such a positive thing to see. It feels like you are in a real home, not a care home.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are very pleased your father has settled in and that you are both happy. We try our very best to make Fairmount a home from home place. We will pass on your lovely comments to the staff.
Always greeted with a smile and made to feel my sister is well looked after. All of the carers are very kind to the people they care for. I could not ask for more.
