In a very difficult time for my family and I, the team have been amazing. The staff are always lovely and helpful, the director goes above and beyond to keep us updated. Would strongly recommend. The team is great.

The people who work in this care home have given nothing but support and care to my Mum and our family.

They have been amazing with communication and giving us regular updates with my mum's care, also any external issues that need organising. The care workers work incredibly hard and I can only imagine how difficult it can be. They always have a smile on their face and are really friendly.

My Mother went to the home in January 2011. Since then her care has been exemplory. She has alzeimers and therefore incapable of caring for herself. She has been content, well cared for and as happy as her condition will allow.. I am absolutely content with the standard of care she has had.

I have been impressed by the care of staff whenever I visit. I live a long way away so it is not really extremely likely I would recommend Rutland House but would if I knew anyone locally. I visit without warning and it is evident how caring the staff are. There are several activities organised each week and residents enjoy taking part. Indeed today my aunt would rather continue her art course than talk to me in the other room.!
The facilities are homely and well run. My aunt falls easily and care is taken to sees she is supervised when on the move. There is a good choice of food and my aunt is drinking and eating well. She tells the family she loves it. Personal care is good. Her hair is well cut and styled and she loves it when she gets a manicure. She is always neat and tidy.

Her room contains personal. Touches from home. We are confident she is safe and well cared for.

I try to visit my neighbour once per week and each time she is very happy to see me but never shows unhappiness when she tells me it is time for my departure! Each resident is treated with respect and patience. The home ensures the residents and their clothing are spotless. The bedrooms are comfortable, tidy and clean, and the food is excellent. Entertainment is provided several times per week. I have also been invited to two parties so far which have given a lot of enjoyment and the buffet, excellent.

I obviously cannot comment on the medical side.

I am a friend and neighbour and she needed care and attention which I think that this care home is giving her. Me and friends visit every week and the staff make us feel very welcome and this is what we are very happy with.

The home is "home from home" for mum.
She has been here for 10 years. She is treated like a family member. Everyone cares and all her needs are met.

My mother has been a resident at Rutland House for 7 months. From the outset, I have been impressed with the level of care, attention to detail, concern about wider family (my father) and genuine desire to make my mum happy. My mother has a spacious, sunny room which is always clean. The staff are friendly and caring, many have been carers for some time there. Whenever there is a need for a discussion the manager sends me a text or a call. I have complete confidence in their ability to take care of my mother.

My father has been there now for 2 and a half years and is very happy there. Unfortunately my father had a short stay in hospital a few weeks ago. The manager/owner of Rutland House went along several times the to the hospital to visit my father who was very happy to see her as was I. On release from hospital Rutland House have laid on all the extra facilities and support that my father has needed they have been fantastic. The management and staff are amazing with their care and support they give not only to my father and all the other residents but also to the families of the residents. This is an excellent care home.
