Overall Experience

My father went to Parkside three years ago after he was devastated by Covid. He was no longer able to walk and was in a very confused state. We were initially unable to visit due to Covid restrictions but were kept informed of his condition by the staff. When restrictions were eased and we were able to visit and actually meet the staff they were all very kind and always told us stories of how Dad was doing. Fortunately, Covid abated and we were able to visit normally. Dad was always well-turned out, happy and well fed. He often said how much he enjoyed his meals. As he deteriorated we could see how hard the staff worked to keep him happy and comfortable. He developed great relationships with them and was clearly content with his life there. I would wholeheartedly recommend Parkside as a happy, compassionate and safe place. I’m glad we chose them to take care of Dad.

Overall Experience
I have been in the care home many months, and would definitely rename it 'Parkview', a care home of outstanding, care and compassion, excellent food, spotlessly clean, and an aura of peace throughout, The staff I have to mention, always a smile and nothing is too much trouble, and the manager and assistant again have made it a home of great joy,

As for me, 76, ex-Royal Navy many years ago where I got asbestosis, my thoughts when told I must go into a care home, terrified, thoughts of stale urine, and more. NoNoNo, excellent in every way, I look forward to every day here and am very happy and content.
