I still can't quite find the words to express my gratitude. Following my emergency spinal surgery, I was left unable to stand, walk, or move my lower limbs. But after three months of dedicated rehabilitation, I proudly walked out the doors. A massive thank you to the care and physiotherapy team for
your love, support, and tireless efforts on my journey. You helped me take steps I never thought were possible, and I will never forget what you've done for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Lots of love, Cookie/Mukesh x

I visited my friend, and she was taking part in a singalong group in the lounge upstairs. It was called 'The Sunshine Choir'. which I thought was such a lovely name. The lady who was leading it was so kind and caring with the residents, speaking to them all as individuals and really brightening their
day, and I felt bringing hope and brightness to their lives. She describes them all as a family, and there really was that feel to it. They were singing along to a keyboard, and it was played amazingly and professionally.
Reply from Abigail Draper, Customer Relations Team at Manton Heights Care Centre & ABI CentreThank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit and experienced the warm, family atmosphere that means so much to us. It's wonderful to know that the Sunshine Choir brought such joy. My husband Chas was lucky enough to be admitted to the ABI unit following a stroke in September 2025. He spent over 6 months being looked after by a brilliant team of carers, catered for by excellent kitchen staff and supported back to a new life by an amazing team of therapists. Chas speaks very
highly of everyone at the unit and holds good memories of his time there.

I am so impressed by how this home has taken so much time and care to really know Mum. Mum has been very challenging but the staff have always been positive about her and sought ways to best support her. If I have had call to ask for something to be addressed the team responded immediately. Mum is always
clean and well dressed.
The manager Rachel, always seeks to work ways to find the best way to support Mum .

I visited my friend for the first time and was made welcome as soon as I walked through the door. The staff were smiling and I could hear laughter. My friends room was clean and bright. Not like I imagined a care home to be like. He was having lunch and it looked appealing and hot. He said he was asked
to join in activity and games

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.607)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.607) out of 10 for Manton Heights Care Centre & ABI Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 52 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 49 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.607 for Manton Heights Care Centre & ABI Centre is calculated as follows: ( (409 Excellents x 5) + (148 Goods x 4) + (38 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 598 Ratings = 4.607
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Manton Heights Care Centre & ABI Centre is based on 49 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 91 registered maximum number of service users is 18.2, which has been reached with 49 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I’m delighted to be General Manager at Manton Heights Care Centre, having previously supported the home as Interim Manager.

Being part of the RCH Care Homes family again feels very special, and working within an ethos that truly aligns with my own values makes this role even more meaningful.

I hold a Level 7 qualification in Management and Leadership in Care, as well as a Master’s Degree in Dementia — a subject I am truly passionate about.

Above all, I want every person living at Manton Heights to enjoy a meaningful, fulfilling life, supported by a team that feels valued and empowered.
