Overall Experience
When my sister moved into the Old School House it was way above anything I could expect the manager went out of her way for us all.
Since my sister has been at the Old School House she has improved so much in her general health, she seems well cared for and all the staff are very caring towards her.
My sister has a lot of friends and family that come and see her at the Old School House, everyone has commented on how lovely the Old School House is very personal and the small size is wonderful.

I cannot fault the staff for the care and the management we have been very lucky to have found the Old School House and there are no visiting hours which is great we can go and see my sister anytime.

The team at Old School House put on a fabulous event for the residents and family. Live music, amazing food and if desired a glass of wine. The team at Old School House care home are always considerate and caring. I couldn't think of a better place for my dad. Thank you.

One of my oldest friends has been a resident in The Old School House since she felt unable to cope alone in her own home. I have visited her regularly for several years and have always felt very welcome on my visits. My friend is happy there and has received excellent care. The small number of residents contributes to a friendly, family atmosphere.

Every aspect of care is delivered with respect and a great deal of love and compassion. It is a happy, well-run home, and the staff are all great.
The quality of food is superb, and so much attention is given to each and every resident.

I feel very reassured and confident in all dealings with the home and am so grateful for the care my parents receive.

The Old School House has given my mother-in-law a home-from-home. The care she has been given is second to none.
Christmas was made very special for the residents by giving them a lovely party for family and friends. Christmas was lovely, with a special dinner and treats.

We can rest in the knowledge that she is happy and safe in their care.

From the first day, my mum has been treated with respect and dignity, by very warm, caring staff. We have pleasure visiting my mum, not only by seeing her, but the environment she and the other residents are living in, it feels like a family. The activities are well thought out and stimulate the residents and us when we are visiting. All through Covid, the home has kept everyone safe by excellent management, which was a relief at a worrying time and are still alert now, for the circulating infections. The best recommendation I can make to others, is to say, my mum is happy and I know she is safe and well cared for and treated as an individual.

My mum moved into the Old School House not eating or drinking, and very weak and fragile she had ulcers on both legs for 18 months within 2 months the ulcers were healed. I was so impressed my mum has been at Old School House for 12 months and I can't believe the change, she is active, happy, eating well and enjoying her life to the full. The staff are superb and very caring and kind and go out of their way for my mum. The management is approachable are always on hand to help the family and my mum. I am so pleased to have found this small gem of a care home.

My mother has been looked after at Old School House since February 2021. As time has gone on my mother's dementia care needs have changed. The staff have been able to adapt to this and care for her kindly. Old School House has a real family feel to it and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming as are the staff too.

I can feel confident that the staff are looking after my mother. She is safe and well cared for.

My mum is not a good eater due to her dementia but the home's cook will try different things to try to encourage her to eat.

Overall Experience
The Old School House is a small care home providing accommodation for up to 12 people. The home is very welcoming and the staff are diligent and professional.
My Mother-in-Law is in her 90's, suffers from age related dementia and has been at the home for about 9 months.
She is treated with dignity and compassion by the staff and I am kept fully informed of her welfare and requirements.
There are regular planned activities in which the residents are encouraged to participate and one to one interaction with the more frail members or those not wishing to join in. The staff are fully aware of the individual personalities and requirements of the residents and are able to tailor the support accordingly.
The meals that I have witnessed have been freshly cooked and appetising and there is always a choice of dishes.

Based on my observations, I would have no reservations in recommending the Old School House to my friends and family.

My mother was becoming more and more introverted and depressed having lived alone following the passing of my father, and after breaking her hip, she did not want to live alone. The Old School House is within 300 yards of my house, the owner and staff are so wonderful and caring and have given Mum a new lease of life.

Overall Experience
My mother was a resident at Old School House from late December 2014 until April 2017.
The home is small, with only 10 or 11 residents and an excellent staff to resident ratio, quite often there will be 4 or 5 staff on duty.
The staff are well trained and unfailingly kind, considerate and caring, every resident is treated as an individual and valued.
The activities organiser is in the home most afternoons and has a wonderful empathic personality.
The rooms vary in size but all are well equipped and maintained. The food is varied and freshly cooked each day.

The only disadvantage is perhaps the small size of the premises, with only on common room and dining room, but there is also a garden area for summer use.

The Old School House provides a wonderful, caring service to my 99-year-old father in law.
They are very diligent in all aspects of his care and provide a lovely, homely atmosphere.
There is a daily entertainment service which is very inclusive and encourages all the residents to join in.

Only having 11 residents is a real bonus.
