We're very disappointed to read your feedback and the ratings you have given the whole team here. We care for people with complex physical and mental health issues and do so very well. We understand you and a fellow resident do not get on at all. Our staff team have spent a considerable amount of time and effort addressing any issues you have raised with us previously and we understood you were satisfied with the outcomes. Its unfair that you have commented on our current building work when we are not even half way through its completion! We run extensive and varied activities which you take part in and you are notified about these at the monthly service user meetings which you always attend and the monthly newsletter you receive every 4 weeks. We have already addressed your portion sizes at lunch time and you are aware you can always ask our staff at any time if you wish for more which you have agreed to and been able to do so on many occasions. We will however pass this feedback onto our staff team.
Dear Anthony,
Thank you for your lovely feedback and kind words, it is most appreciated and will be passed onto our team. Thank you.
Dear Jane,
Thank you for your kind words. We have strived to keep activities as normal and varied as possible for residents during these unprecedented times. A list of our activities are always available on our website, our Facebook page including regular photos and our monthly newsletter which is emailed to you every 4 weeks. We hope you will be able to visit your mum again soon and take part in some of our activities again once the visiting restrictions are eased further.

Thank you for your feedback. Your kind words will be passed onto our staff. It's a shame you felt unable to comment on the vast and varied activities we offer at the home. Perhaps when the lockdown measures are eased, you would be able to join us with your mum one day to see for yourself and enjoy the entertainment we provide.
Thank you for your positive feedback. We will ensure this is passed onto our hardworking team.

Aveley Lodge Care Home, previously known as Aveley Lodge Retirement Home, was officially opened on 25th July 1989 by Robin Parmenter, the father of the current owners, Michael and Deborah. Having grown up immersed in the family business, Michael and Deborah took over full ownership in 2006 when Robin retired, and they have transformed Aveley Lodge into the care home you see today. They are both very passionate about care, passionate about Aveley Lodge, and passionate about individuals receiving the care, dignity and respect they deserve. They both strongly believe that all those in care should and must be treated fairly and compassionately and that the care offered is governed by our Home’s key principles as well as effective communication, total professionalism, and absolute attention to detail. Keeping Aveley Lodge a small and informal family-run care home has always been central to their ethos. They enjoy the opportunity of giving those in their twilight years a chance to spend their final days in a safe, pleasurable and relaxing environment that they have created here at Aveley Lodge.
