The Belfry Residential Care Home

The care home was in close proximity to where I live. It was kept clean and tidy. The temperature was always acceptable, and fresh air was accessed when possible. The staff were all found to be exceptional. They were very friendly, extremely helpful and kept me fully advised of any concerns they had regarding my mother. Keep up the good work.

My mother-in-law was placed into The Belfry in January 2021. At all times, since both she and ourselves have been kept updated with all aspects of her care. I would thoroughly recommend this home as the release of stress trying to ensure her safety and dignity was lifted immediately. I will always be thankful her last days were spent in this lovely home with people on hand at all times.

The home is light and bright with lovely furniture and it rarely smells. The food is cooked on-site and is lovely. The residents can choose what to have for tea most evenings.

The staff cannot do enough for all. My mother was so distressed but the manager made sure she was welcomed.

It's a lovely, friendly place, I just wish I could go out for long walks on my own. It really is a 'home from home' and I get whatever I ask for at no cost to me.

In 2018 I knocked on The Belfry's door at 8.30 in the morning to ask if they had a room available for my mum. I had only a day to find a care home as Mum was about to be discharged from hospital having broken her hip. Mum was 92 and suffering from Vascular Dementia. We were welcomed in, shown a choice of rooms and made to feel welcome. We knew within 5 minutes this was the home we wanted for Mum. It was small, well staffed, friendly, immaculately clean and pleasant. I visited Mum unannounced on several occasions and was always impressed by the level of care and personal attention Mum was receiving. The staff were wonderful. Mum sadly passed away at The Belfry in January, they looked after her to the end. There was no suggestion that Mum should leave the home or that they couldn't meet her increasing needs. She died peacefully and respectfully and I attribute this to the care and attention bestowed on her by all at The Belfry. I am very grateful to them.

Exceptional care has been shown to my mother-in-law over the past 3 years of her residence here. Particularly recently following 2 hospital admissions for a leg infection where her aftercare at The Belfry, encouraging her to eat normally again and remobilising her has been excellent. They always try to involve her in as many activities as she can manage.

They always make birthdays and Christmas very special. As a family, we always feel she is in safe hands. The management team are brilliant.

It's a pleasure to visit and have a cup of tea!

My room is sweet and clean and has a TV and night staff who are kind. I can look forward to better health and the garden in spring. Hair care and entertainment are excellent too.

Lovely friendly home and the staff are very kind. My granddad was very well looked after and was very happy here. The staff are very accommodating and my granddad had whatever he wanted. He especially liked the sing a longs with a beer!
