Overall Experience

I have been a resident for well over a year or more and after the first months of settling down to a new way of being completely looked after, I found that I was completely happy with my new situation and at my time of life, very happy to be so comfortable. The food that is given to me at the appointed times suits me and I can only think of one example when I was a little upset and I recovered in half an hour.

Overall Experience

My father was resident at Frintondene for 5 years until his death in August. He chose this home as it was small, well managed and convenient to the sea, gardens and the town. For 4 years he was quite independent, able to go out on his mobility scooter and generally look after himself. Following a stroke, he lost mobility as well as sight and hearing problems. Throughout his stay his needs were met; a quiet, private man he did not like a lot of interaction with other residents and preferred to eat in his room. The staff were always most accommodating providing the level of care he needed without being overbearing. Towards the end when life became very difficult the team there went out of their way to make him comfortable and to offer him more than just care. He particularly liked the stability of the staffing with few changes over the 5 years. From our point of view, we always thought he was safe, happy, well cared for and we were always made welcome whenever we visited.

Overall Experience

The staff at Frintondene always seem to be very friendly and attentive to both the residents and relatives. My Mother is always confortable every time I pop in without prior notice and I believe is being very well cared for. I am confident my Mother is always shown respect and gentle care and her dignity is always preserved. I never feel concerned about any aspect of her care at the home and when I leave I feel confident and relieved she is in very safe hands.

Overall Experience

The home looked after my wife over a five year period with care and compassion and though I popped in at any time of the day, unannounced I never found anything remiss. There was a family atmosphere that made the place feel like home.

I was lucky to find a place whose values and culture was so close to our own. It made leaving one's wife in the care of others so much less of a pain.
