Moulsham Home has an ideal location for those wishing to maintain an active lifestyle, with many amenities within walking distance. The home caters for 23 residents and has an excellent trading history that spans over 40 years. The home caters for the elderly over 65 years.

They provide 24-hour care in a safe environment with all entry and exit doors operating a key fob system. The bedrooms available are single, single ensuite and shared, all with a nursecall sensor for extra safety of the clients during the night. The home employs a chef seven days a week to cater for any dietary requirements that are required. The menu is based around traditional English food and the menu is vast. Breakfast always includes a full English daily made fresh to order.

There is a visiting chiropodist, hairdresser, optician and library service. Daily activities consist of painting, quizes, jigsaws, ball games and shopping outings, as well as visiting entertainers. Entertainers visit the home monthly and there is a wide range, including singers, animal therapy, magicians and comedians. There are two cats at the home, as well as tortoises and a fish tank.

Moulsham home is in an ideal location for access to the town centre of Chelmsford and it is a short and pleasant walk to the local regiment museum.

Moulsham Home has made such a remarkable difference to our friend. She is now happy and smiling. I'm not sure she knows who I am, but she is pleased to have visitors and we are made very welcome by all the staff when we visit. The staff are caring and considerate to all residents.

I can feel content that my Mother is well cared for. And in this difficult year, has been kept safe. Management and staff are always helpful. As I had hoped, there are definite benefits to a small home run by a small dedicated team.

The home has friendly approachable staff who cater to the needs of those in their care. The home is inviting and well kept with various entertainment when permissible and birthday and occasions celebrated with parties for the residents. The bedrooms are kept very clean and so are the residents, with

We had to put our mother into care at the start of COVID lockdown (March 2020). It was difficult as we couldn't visit Mum and were reliant on home to tell us how she was settling in. The manager and staff could not have been more helpful or communicative. They were proactive when Mum had medical issues
but kept us up to date. We have been so pleased with the way all the staff have dealt with our mother at this very difficult time.

My mother is a long term resident at the home. Mum is always well cared for and she is always spotless and well-fed even at last stage of Alzheimer's. Mum is bed-bound but has a beautiful room that is light and airy. She has the radio playing in the background and staff are monitoring her all the time.
Moulsham Home has only every had staff that are kind and caring. Being a smaller establishment it really feels like being in your own home.

Since my wife entered Moulsham Home from hospital she has been well looked after. I have visited regularly and been kindly received until the present lockdown. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.

I shall fill this form in the best I can. My mother went into this care home Xmas 2019. I have not been inside the home since the end of March due to covid. My sisters and I have a good relationship with the owner who is very honest and very caring and spoils all the residents. The food is amazing and
would cook whatever the residents want.

My dad moved into the home full-time in May this year, having had several respite stays. Unfortunately, due to covid19, it has been a long time since I have been able to visit Dad inside the house, but all the staff have been very helpful in maintaining visits in the garden until weather made this impossible.
I know that Dad is safe, well-fed and cared for - the staff treat him as they would a member of their own family. Nothing is too much trouble, nad any queries are answered in a timely manner.

My mother has resided at Moulsham for over three years. We are very happy with the standard of care given and in particular the adaptation to a Covid secure environment. They have always provided her with her favourite foods and she is very happy with the care of the staff. For my part, the manager
has always been most helpful and kept us informed of any changes in my mother's condition. Most importantly, she likes living there!

I visit my Nan regularly and am always warmly welcomed and kept up to date with any changes in my Nan’s condition or in her general health/personality. My Nan always looks cared for, she responds very warmly to the staff as they interact with both of us during my visit. I always feel completely confident
in the way all staff members look after my Nan. She is always well dressed and clean and is genuinely looked after to the highest of standards in every way. My Nan has specialist requirements in her care and they are very supportive and understanding in caring for her. I can not recommend this home enough.

Moulsham Home is a small very friendly, care home. The atmosphere when you walk in is one of a family home, not an institution. Food is home cooked and plentiful, fruits, sweets and crisps are available in bowls throughout the day. The staff are exceptionally caring and patient. Residents individual
needs are met with such kindness and in a very timely fashion. The staff know each of the residents and what they like and dislike. Visitors are welcomed and we were offered a hot or cold drink on every visit we made. My Dad received exceptional care and kindness here and we are so grateful the Moulsham Home team for that. We are also grateful that care could be provided so quickly in an emergency situation. I really couldn’t have left my Dad anywhere if I wasn’t 100% comfortable that he would be properly looked after and cared for and at Moulsham Home, he was.

This care home is excellent, whether it be staff, care, food, cleanliness, activities etc. The residents are so well looked after - the staff especially are brilliant. I go 4 times a week so I am able to see lots of activities going on. The food is amazing, all home cooked. The bedrooms are clean and
have nice furniture and furnishings.


It gives us peace of mind that my mother is so well cared for and is safe.

I have lived in this care home for about three years now and have seen all my family out and I must say I have never felt lonely or unhappy. I truly feel loved and cared for, it all feels like family.
If my mum and dad are looking down, I know they will be very happy that I have landed into a lovely
