I came into the home for respite care and was very ill, they nursed me back to good health and now I am back home. The carers visit me at home to make sure I am coping and have all kept in contact.

I visit my Nan regularly and am always warmly welcomed and kept up to date with any changes in my Nan’s condition or in her general health/personality. My Nan always looks cared for, she responds very warmly to the staff as they interact with both of us during my visit. I always feel completely confident in the way all staff members look after my Nan. She is always well dressed and clean and is genuinely looked after to the highest of standards in every way. My Nan has specialist requirements in her care and they are very supportive and understanding in caring for her. I can not recommend this home enough.

Moulsham Home is a small very friendly, care home. The atmosphere when you walk in is one of a family home, not an institution. Food is home cooked and plentiful, fruits, sweets and crisps are available in bowls throughout the day. The staff are exceptionally caring and patient. Residents individual needs are met with such kindness and in a very timely fashion. The staff know each of the residents and what they like and dislike. Visitors are welcomed and we were offered a hot or cold drink on every visit we made. My Dad received exceptional care and kindness here and we are so grateful the Moulsham Home team for that. We are also grateful that care could be provided so quickly in an emergency situation. I really couldn’t have left my Dad anywhere if I wasn’t 100% comfortable that he would be properly looked after and cared for and at Moulsham Home, he was.

This care home is excellent, whether it be staff, care, food, cleanliness, activities etc. The residents are so well looked after - the staff especially are brilliant. I go 4 times a week so I am able to see lots of activities going on. The food is amazing, all home cooked. The bedrooms are clean and have nice furniture and furnishings.

It gives us peace of mind that my mother is so well cared for and is safe.

Well done to all who work at this home.

I have lived in this care home for about three years now and have seen all my family out and I must say I have never felt lonely or unhappy. I truly feel loved and cared for, it all feels like family.
If my mum and dad are looking down, I know they will be very happy that I have landed into a lovely place like this.

I have been blessed. Thank you and I thank God.

I have lived here for one year. I find the care to be very good and I feel safe at night and day. The medical care is good. The food is more than adequate. The bedroom and en suite are comfortable. I would recommend it.

Having visited a number of care homes Moulsham Residential Care Home ticked all the boxes. It was clean the manager and the staff were friendly, caring and professional and the fact that it was small meant that my mother and father would receive the personal attention they required. I have not been disappointed. I would thoroughly recommend this facility to anyone considering residential care for a loved one.

This is an updated review to my earlier review from last year.

My Mother has been in this home since Feb 2013.

She has Late stage Alzheimers and now needs complete care and although she has a shared light and bright bedroom, staff ensure sure she is up and dressed and in the lounge where she can see the comings and goings. The care she receives is excellent.

She has benefited greatly from being in a small home with only 19 residents that has the same senior staff as when she arrived.

Visitors are always welcome and there are no restrictions on when you can visit. There are activities and regular visits from entertainers and weekly visits from a hairdresser.

I would not hesitate to recommend the home others.

Our Mum has dementia and has been in the home for over six years. We have been extremely pleased with her care during that time. She is always very clean and well presented even now when she is confined to bed. The staff are kind, friendly and patient and always inform us if Mum is unwell or there is any other issue. We cannot thank the staff enough for the care she has received.

When my mother had to go into a care home it was a very emotional time. The staff and management made this very easy for us. All the carers are extremely kind to my mother and it is so nice when they come into her room, her face lights up. My mother is now full time in bed, they check on her regularly, making sure she is drinking and okay. We cannot fault the care she receives, when she has to go to hospital, the carers were as upset as us. We can go about our lives knowing that everything that can be done for my mother is done. We have no worries about her care and feel extremely lucky to have her there.

Mum has been a resident for over 6 years. The staff are very kind and friendly and there is a homely feel about the place. We as a family feel welcomed and can call in as often as we like. We feel very pleased that mum was able to move in when we could no longer manage her care at home.

Every time we visit mum, she is always clean and tidy. She says the food is good, and when we are there it always smells appetising. There has never been any horrible smell from any of the residents, or the home. Some of the ones that we visited, we couldn't wait to get out. We are always offered tea/coffee. Staff are all very friendly and helpful to mum, who can be difficult at times. We are really happy for her to be there.
