Waters View Residential Home

I read the reviews before we booked my Mum for 10 days respite. The home was clean and everything sounded really good. My mum cannot use the stairs and was put in a top room so when she wanted me to go downstairs she had to push the buzzer and wait until they came to her. Ran out of toilet paper and that took 7 hours to bring it to her. Mum fell against the sliding door and cut her arm. Nobody in the family was informed. As for home cooked food half jacket potato no cheese or salad and cheese on toast or something that resembles a omelette is disgraceful with the money that is charged. Only has a very small car park and with builders in there is no room. Worst decision that we made took Mum out after 3 days.

The care my wife receives is exceptional. Every member of staff treats her with kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion, and it gives me great peace of mind knowing she is safe and well looked after. The home is always clean, welcoming, and has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly, caring, and always keep me informed when I visit. I cannot thank the team enough for everything they do for my wife and for the support they have shown me as well. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one.

When visiting my friend, I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The home was lovely, homely and comfortable. My friend says she is very happy living there. The manager and deputy manager were so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. All lovely people. They all made me feel so welcome.

Cannot fault Waters View! Staff are so caring and Mum loves being there. Everyone really approachable and if any problems are raised, soon sorted! Being a smaller home makes it more personal. We love the 'homely' atmosphere, even having the dogs makes a difference.

The home is just what mum needed, cosy, comfy and relaxed but with very attentive caring staff. All the staff treat with such respect but also as though mum was their own relative. The food is amazing ... and now they have a mini bus mum is able to go out on trips which is so good for her. Last week she went out for fish & chips and ice cream, and she loved it... I never seen mum smile so much or be so happy. Waters View is everything needs.

Mum moved here just over a year ago, the most striking difference from other care packages we have used is that the staff and management actually care. Mum is always well looked after and staff actively engage with the residents in a fun and light hearted atmosphere. I can not recommend highly enough.

Staff are amazing. Residents clean well dressed and well fed with home cooked food. Owners go above and beyond to sort out any problems . Home is situated near the coast , very near the medical centre.

Mum has been at Waters View for a year now and I honestly cannot believe how lucky we have been to have found such a wonderful place. Mum is settled and the staff and Management go over and above for all Residents in their care. We would find it very hard to find anywhere with this quality of care for Mum to stay.

My dad is receiving the best care. He is always clean, smart and well-fed. The carers really do care and are so kind not just to my dad but his family too. I am so glad that we chose this home for our dad.

My mother has been in Waters View for several years now. We used three other homes for respite care when we went on holiday and I was unhappy with all of them. Mum said they did not feel homely. I am an OT and have managed complex care packages for children with additional needs as well as done some inspection work in my Occupational Therapy capacity for the CQC so I am aware of what to look for in a care home.

Residential care is a positive option with companionship and love that is much harder to create with a care package going into the family home. We have found all of this at Waters View.

The staff at Waters View are very caring and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. They do all they can to assist my mother-in-law and encourage and motivate her. She is treated as a member of the family and I feel confident she is being well cared for.

Since my Mother who has Vascular Dementia has been in Waters View Residential Home I have nothing but good to say about her Care. Excellent care, hygiene service and feedback on Mums current health. The staff are always there to help and advise us on how Mum is doing.

We are all thankful for the amazing standard of care delivered and the warm and welcoming environment that made such a difference during difficult times.

My family and I found the care to be of the highest standard, the team genuinely care about the wellbeing of each resident and there is a strong homely feel. My Aunt regularly requested food and drinks throughout the day and night and was provided for at all times of the day without complaint. We chose Waters View Residential Home as it does not have that institutional feel that a lot of care homes have and it always smells like fresh cooking/baking, rather than anything undesirable.

A relative of mine came for a short stay in March 2022 and wow what can I say about this care home! All the staff and management are so caring and have such a kind nature when it comes to the residents. They always put the residents' needs first and for all the outstanding care that they provide, it is so lovely to see how much the staff treat the residents like their own family. The home has such a homely feel and the home-cooked food always smells amazing. The team have worked so hard in caring for my relative and others around the home and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Waters View Residential Home to others!

My nan was a resident at Waters View for the last 15 months until she passed away in April. I can’t praise the manager and her team enough for the outstanding care that they provided. They genuinely do care for every resident and their families. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The home has a very homely feel and I know Nan enjoyed the home-cooked food. I wouldn’t hesitate in highly recommending Waters View.

As a retired care home owner and manager, I can honestly say with my hand on my heart that the care my father received from Waters View was brilliant and individual to his care needs. The manager and her team work so hard to achieve the care they give, especially through very difficult circumstances, which are affecting all of our lives at present. I am so grateful for the care they gave my dad and the way they dealt with other services along the way. Thank you all.
