Waters View Residential Home

Mum has been at Waters View for nearly a year, and the staff have been very kind and helpful. It took her a little while to accept why she was there, but now she views it like home and is happy. It is small, and as it is family run, it has a personal feel.

The home provides wonderful home-cooked meals and is always ready to accommodate my varied visiting needs. The recent pandemic was dealt with to the highest Government standards, and I was informed with every new change. There is not a moment over these many years that I have ever worried for his welfare.

After both my parents being discharged from hospital with covid, I needed somewhere for them to recover. The care they received at Waters View was excellent, all staff very friendly and efficient, great home-cooked food and the rooms clean and comfortable. All staff followed the guidelines, with regards to covid, at all times. Staff kept me updated as I was unable to visit and I was happy that my parents were being well cared for. Thank you all.

The newer team at Waters View are caring, responsive and well-led by management. Mum was very well looked after in her final years here and it was very reassuring for Mum’s family.

A lovely care home where my Mother in Law was very well looked after. The manager and her team go above and beyond to ensure the residents are treated like family and that their physical and emotional needs are met. The bedrooms, food, care plans all meant that my Mother in Law would refer to it as her hotel and never as an institution. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile, you know all the small team of carers and they know the residents and you feel like it is one big extended family. This small individually focused home was invaluable to our family.

The staff, could not be faulted and I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone looking for somewhere safe for their loved ones to stay.

My nanna is currently at Waters View, and I can't fault the care she is receiving. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, and nothing is to much trouble for them. I would highly recommend this care home for respite and long term care!

Waters View has many wonderful, attentive staff and looked after my husband very well, considering he was hard work. That being the reason he was there as I couldn't cope with him with Parkinson's and dementia.

They care for the residents as if they were one of their own family.

The staff and management at the facility went above and beyond all that was expected for what was a day case admission.

The property is small and cosy, feeling like a private house/home, and so the residents are, to all intents and purposes, members of a "family". We visitors are welcomed warmly, no matter when, and we are even able to have lunch with our loved one. We can leave Waters View, safe in the knowledge that Mum is happy, safe and lovingly looked after.

The atmosphere at Waters View is that of a home with a family living in it, it does not feel like an institution, which has been perfect for my Father when he was moving from our home to his new home. He has Alzheimer’s and came to Waters View for daycare, initially for 2 days a week. As he liked coming, he enjoyed the company and settled well, we increased his visits to 4 days a week.

After about 8 months of coming for daycare, in March 2018 my Father moved in as a resident. Because he was familiar and comfortable with Waters View and all the staff, the decision for Dad to become a resident was not a difficult one and the transition has been very smooth.

The staff (without any exceptions) are caring, warm and friendly, they are cheerful, they smile and nothing is too much trouble for them. After I have visited Dad, it makes it easier for me to say goodbye and leave him, knowing that he is well looked after.

We have found that the care he receives there is very satisfying and that every aspect of his care is met in a safe friendly and efficient manner.

A very good experience as a visitor. All the staff are friendly, courteous and polite. Waters View Residential Home is very clean and tidy. I would recommend it.

I am extremely happy with the care of my father. Also, I am happy with the answers I got about my concerns of my father's wellbeing. The staff treated me with the utmost respect. Waters View is a wonderful facility. I know my father is in good hands.

My father in law went in for respite after a long stay in hospital, he was looked after so well, with so much care and attention he is now well enough to go home at 91. Lots of thanks to all the staff, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Although my mother is not well enough to participate in activities, I am aware of the events arranged for residents. Special times such as Easter, Christmas and Mothers' Day are always marked and friends and family are encouraged to participate. It is always easy to discuss my mother's care with staff and I feel confident that my mother's needs are met and that she is comfortable and safe.

My Mother has been at Waters View for a number of years and what continues to impress me is the patient, calm, kind and professional care she receives from the management and staff. Being a small home they have a small and constant team which is really reassuring for my Mother and us as her family. She is treated as an individual and with respect which is becoming increasingly important as sadly time sees her needs increasing. We are also kept updated on all matters relating to her and feel that we are an active and valued part of the planning for her care. The cheery hello and caring atmosphere whenever we visit makes our time at the home as enjoyable as it can be at times when things can be upsetting as sadly dementia can result in.
