Brambles Care Home

I would just like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at The Brambles Care Home. On a hot sunny day last week, my mother and 11 other residents were taken down to the garden. They had a BBQ of meats on little skewers, ice cream and a glass of Pimms. My mother was full of it when I arrived the next day and couldn’t wait to tell me all about it.

My aunt has been a resident at Brambles Care Home for 11 months now. We viewed other homes before viewing Brambles because it came so highly recommended and we needed something to compare it with. We needn't have bothered. On our introductory tour we were given a warm welcome, helpful information, and good advice, all with an openness and frankness, sincerely meant, that we came away delighted that we had found the best place for her. Time has proved that right. Brambles is a home in the truest sense of the word. It is not an institutional type of home, far from it. My aunt is so happy and looks forward to the many activities. She often tells us that she feels blessed, loved and well cared for. This is evident on every visit. All the staff treat every resident with respect and dignity. They show compassion, remain cheerful even at testing moments, they're well-trained and professional. They say there is room for improvement in every business. Brambles will know where but we don't.

My mother was a resident of Brambles Care Home for seven and a half years until her death at the end of January 2023, aged 94 years. I have previously rated Brambles 5/5 for their day to day level of care over the years. In the last few months of her life the staff maintained a palliative care regime with increased levels of attention and real sympathy for my mother, myself and my sister, for which we are profoundly grateful.

My father was here for 10 years. We could not have chosen a more caring home for him. He was treated very much as an individual, not only meeting his physical needs but also his emotional needs. They afforded him his dignity throughout his time there and it did indeed become his ‘home’ I will never be able to praise them enough for that.

As ever the Brambles Care Home continues to look after Dad and tend to his needs, paying special attention to whatever is concerning him most at any given time. Everyone is caring and professional and carries out their work with humour, patience and goodwill.

Brambles Care Home is exactly what you would want from a care home. When you need support for your parents and don't want to worry about them constantly, then Brambles and the staff takes the stress away. When visiting there is never a restriction and you are always made to feel welcome. The staff enjoy getting to know the resident as well as the guests visiting. The facilities are excellent, the staff provide constant attention throughout the day and night. The attention to detail is perfect, from making sure the medication is given to providing superb food. The meals are freshly made and cooked every day. The care home is kept extremely clean and they encourage bringing in personal items from the resident's home to make them feel more at home, removing any thought that the residents are in a hospital but more in their own home. Thank you.

The professionalism shown by the staff is only matched by the high levels of care they provide on a daily basis. I have no difficulty in recommending Brambles as a comfortable and safe home.

For the two years, Mum lived at The Brambles she was well cared for. We visited regularly and she was always happy, chatty and inevitably singing. As the dementia progressed, she was treated with respect and dignity, and we were genuinely grateful for the team's thoughtful consideration towards us too, particularly at the end of her life. We highly recommend The Brambles based on our experience.

Mum had a stay in hospital recently and the ambulance crew commented on the Brambles knowledge of Mum's condition when they arrived.

The team at Brambles Care Home have been looking after Mum for more than 6 years and during that time have provided the highest standard of care for my mother. She suffers from dementia and her condition has deteriorated over that time to the point where she is bed bound and completely dependent on the staff for all her needs. Her care is thorough, professional and caring and it is a credit to the staff at Brambles that she is so well settled given her highly dependent situation. All the staff are friendly and approachable and have the needs of their residents top of mind at all times. We are very lucky to have Mum in such good care.

My nanna has been at the Brambles Care Home for almost ten years and has just celebrated her 100th birthday. All the staff couldn't have done more to make it special for her and also to accommodate us as a family. She is very well looked after and treated with care and dignity. I highly recommend the Brambles in every respect.

I knew that my mother was being looked after with the upmost care and attention she needed. Brambles Care Home set high standards and was always very clean and tidy at all times. I know my mother was very happy at Brambles and the carers played a big part in her happiness.

I felt secure about Mum being there and knew her needs were being taken care of. That's really the best recommendation I can give I think. Under the manager's leadership, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home to a prospective resident.

Mum has been here since 2014 and we have had no concerns at all since she has been here. The staff are wonderful and their dedication throughout the Covid situation was exceptional. They are aware of the individual needs of each resident and the needs of the residents come first in everything they do. They think up a wide range of activities and are always finding interesting things to keep the residents entertained and engaged. As Mum has deteriorated, the care provided is adjusted to accommodate the change in her needs. Never a big fuss about anything and there is always an air of calm when you visit.

Excellent care. Staff all supportive and have the needs of the residents upmost at all times. Would wholeheartedly recommend if you want a safe, happy and secure environment for a family member or yourself for peace of mind.

Food is good. Care excellent. Cleanliness is excellent. Value for money, safety and security is excellent.

The Brambles was a fantastic home for my nan who passed away recently. She spent her final days being cared for so well, where nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff were friendly and attentive to her needs from day one. Would strongly recommend this care home for your loved one.

My mother-in-law was well cared for all the time she was in the Brambles. Staff were always polite and caring towards her and her family and we were always made to feel welcome any time we visited. My mother-in-law always looked clean and well cared for and her room was comfortable. I would recommend the Brambles to anyone who needed to find a care home for their relative.

The staff at Brambles, straight away, started to help my mum, as a new resident settle into her new home. They all strive to do their best for her, recognise her needs and provide very cheerful person-centred care.
