Willows Lodge Care Home is a purpose-built care home, situated on Calcutta Road and is a short distance from Tilbury town centre.

The home is arranged over three floors, and features light and spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. Residents can relax in comfortable lounge and dining areas on each floor, or sit outside in the relaxing garden.

Care provided at Willows Lodge is person-centred, following an initial assessment, while staff work to encourage residents to remain as independent as possible and respect their dignity at all times. In addition, staff have the opportunity to complete additional training to learn new skills and develop existing ones. Each staff member is fully-supervised and has an individual learning and development plan to ensure the care being delivered is professional, competent and of the highest standard at all times.

Willows Lodge has a team of activities co-ordinators who work to ensure residents have access to a varied programme of activities, these can include: reminiscence, board games, reading, quizzes and arts and crafts.

Residents at the home are provided with freshly prepared, locally sourced nutritious meals and special dietary requirements can be catered for. Birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions are always celebrated at the home.

My uncle arrived on the day the home went into lockdown last March and since then, the care he has recieved has been amazing. All the staff, management and chef are all caring and so supportive to us as a family and to my uncle. The home is nice and clean and they go above and beyond. It's been tough
not being able to see him a lot over the past 10 months, but they have made it easier. I wanted to thank them, so I bought a gazebo for the garden for visits for us and other families to visit our relatives, when possible, as it is so important for them to know they have not been forgotten. That is what worried me about his dementia. He thinks I don't care, not understanding about the virus, but the staff keep the communication open with video calls etc. This home is a must if you are looking for great care for your family member. 100%.

What a wonderful place, staff are excellent caring and kind.
My mum is in great hands with all staff who I know love and care for her.
Whilst these times are difficult for mum and myself, I have to stand outside by the window to talk to her, I always have someone inside caring for her.

We would like to thank all the Staff at Willow Lodge for looking after our Dad/Husband for the 4 weeks that he was in the home.
Everyone was so lovely to him and to us as a family nothing was to much trouble for them.
We cannot recommend this nursing home highly enough.

My dad has been at the care home for approximately three months. During that time, the staff have treated my dad with such dignity. They are very compassionate and have become like one of the family.
Questions are always answered and if the answer is not known, it is found and reported back. They
saved my dad's life when he had a fit early January. I will forever be grateful.

My mum has been in Willows Lodge for a few years now. When she first arrived there she was underweight, she refused to walk and feed herself. But with the help and support from staff, she now walks around aided with a frame. She has put on weight, to the point where I have had to go and buy new clothes
for her - twice! She is happy and very settled there now. Staff are very friendly and happy to help.

My Nan came to this home in July 2015 until December 2015. She has been so happy here, well looked after, clean all the time. The staff have treated my Nan so well. Also at the end of life they looked after us as well and could not do any more to help us. They are underpaid for what they do and work
long hours and this puts them under pressure. We cannot recommend this nursing home highly enough and are so thankful.

My nan came here in July 2015 with severe dementia and terminal stage 4 cancer, we had a very bad experience with nan at her previous care home. We literally couldn't have asked for any better care for not only my nan but for the whole of my family when visiting. They have made my nan's last months
joyful, happy and extremely content. All the nurses and carers have gone beyond the call of duty and care. We are astonished with their kindness. They need and deserve much more acknowledgement for all they do.

My mother was receiving end of life care. Your nurses, head carers, carers, cleaners are wonderful, they have given a top service. They looked after mum, she was so clean and had all her dignity while she was passing. I can't thank you enough from the bottom of my heart.
