We've been very happy with the level of care and kindness given to Dad since the home opened last month. The entire home has been refitted with a clean and modern look. Dad's bedroom is always spotless and all rooms have an ensuite. Although he hardly spends any time in his room as he is happy being
on the ground floor in one of the three lounges talking with other residents or reading. He has always been active and enjoys a regular walk on the seafront. The food is incredible, with generous portions and a choice of options for breakfast, lunch (3 courses) and supper. The home is very new with only 7 residents so the activities have not started yet but I'm sure they will be varied and engaging. I feel much less stressed and relieved he is somewhere friendly, caring and safe.

My 94 year old Mother has been a resident of Lakeside since September 2025. She cannot walk and also suffers from Lewy Body dementia and requires 24 hour care. All the staff are dedicated and kind and they ensure the residents are all well care for. She can have challenging behaviour and they ensure
that they handle the situation in a calm professional manner. She is also a celiac and the chef and catering staff have ensured she has well balanced nutritional diet. There is a activities coordinator who arranges a wide range of stimulating activities. The home is always clean, fresh and welcoming. I know my Mother is in a safe place. I would recommend Lakeside to anyone who is looking for a home which guarantees peace of mind and confidence.

My husband has been in the care of lakeside for almost 6 yrs . He had very complex needs but has been extremely well cared for. Lakeside don't only look after the resident they also look out for you too . They become like family , kind and caring . They have done everything possible for him in what
can't always be an easy job . I can never thank each and everyone one of them enough . Be assured your family will be extremely well looked after by lakeside staff .

Our lovely mum Doris McLean was a Resident for 6 1/2years. She was not only cared for but loved. She was very happy and always laughing and having fun with the staff,telling me frequently' to stop worrying, she was alright and looked after'. I'm sure she thought she was in a 4 star hotel She enjoyed
all the the activities and days out.
During the last week of her life all (housekeeping, kitchen staff,day and night nurses and carers)the staff put their arms around us too. It may sound strange but they ensured that it was a lovely week filled with happy memories
Mum.passed knowing she was loved by her family and the wonderful staff, laughing till the end. Thank you Emma and all your team

My mother has been here now for over 2 years.
I managed to get her moved from another care home where we felt she was being neglected. When she arrived it was clear she had declined was close to the end of her life. Since arriving here at Lakeside view, she has been great, gained weight, clean, well
fed and very well looked after.ot was a tough process that was new to us and throughout this, they were always on the other end of the phone to help. Every single member of staff has been great from management to even the cleaners. It is a well ran home with the service users needs always at the forefront. They have in a way brought our mum back from the brink and gave us more time to spend with her.
I cannot thank everyone enough and recommend Lakeside view enough.

My father was admitted to Dundordan. He had complex mental health needs alongside deteriorating physical needs. He deteriorated rapidly in their care over a few short weeks. Despite him only being there for a short time the staff had got to know him well and built up a great rapport with him. They handled
his mental and physical health needs amazingly. They were very kind and compassionate to both my father and to his family. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.

Brilliant staff and management honest and caring. my Dad has been moved about in the past due to not being able to settle in other homes and not connecting with the staff and staff not being able to cope with my dad but this care home has been amazing with my Dad and his needs . staff go out of there

With one exception, the staff were excellent. They were polite, kind and friendly. Even when overworked or tired, they were cheerful.
Some cleaners had an interesting approach. They cleaned around small objects, eg: footstool, rather than move them out of the way and clean the entire floor. Similarly,
when wiping trays, the jug and glass were not moved. Further, they only picked up dropped items if asked, even if they had cleaned around them.
The quality of the food varied enormously from day to day. Sometimes I found it inedible. The food was too old-fashioned for my generation. It was frequently cold and/or too salty. As a vegetarian, I was twice given a meal containing animal products. It was not immediately obvious and I started eating before I realised. (Perhaps you have to be a vegetarian to understand how distressing it was to have meat or fish in my mouth). Further, serveral times I was given a meat-eater's meal without the meat, thus demonstrating a lack of understanding of what constitutes a healthy vegetarian diet.
Notwithstanding the above, I would recommend Kibworth Court because, most importantly, the staff were beyond lovely.

Excellent, Compassionate Care


My dad has been a resident at Evergreen Lodge for nearly a year, and I am extremely grateful for the care he receives. The staff are incredibly patient with him, even on days when his moods and aggression are challenging. They always treat him with dignity and understanding.


They

consistently make sure he takes his mental-health and diabetic medication, even when he resists it, which gives me real peace of mind. He has regular meals, plenty to drink throughout the day, and the staff check on him frequently to ensure he's comfortable and safe.


What stands out most is how the team go out of their way to give him what he needs, whether that's reassurance, attention, or practical help. It's clear they genuinely care about his wellbeing.


I'm very happy with the staff and the support my dad receives at Evergreen Lodge. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for compassionate, reliable care for a loved one.

For over 4 years Lakeside have cared for our Mum. Mum had dementia and we didn't see her for a long time due to Covid restrictions. As soon as those restrictions were lifted we were able to visit and the staff where so welcoming. Lakeside is a lovely warm spotless safe place.
The staff are friendly
and so caring. Mum's room was a good size with an ensuite. Some rooms have a beautiful view over the lake. Everywhere is so clean with none of the unpleasant odours that i came across on the search for somewhere for Mum to spend her final years.

Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere nothing is ever too much trouble and the staff are always willing to help. plenty of activities available to keep us busy.. Also, the food is excellent. Our sons, Will and Tom, recently stayed at Sandpipers for respite in September, and we couldn't have been happier with the care they received. From the moment we arrived, the team were warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail of their needs. The staff showed genuine kindness, patience, and professionalism
throughout their stay, ensuring both boys were comfortable, happy, and well looked after. Communication was excellent, and we felt reassured knowing they were in such capable hands. It was clear that the team took time to get to know them as individuals, which made a real difference. The environment was calm, clean, and friendly, and the activities provided helped make their stay enjoyable and engaging. We're so grateful to everyone at Sandpipers for their dedication and compassion - it gave us complete peace of mind. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sandpipers to any family looking for truly person-centred respite care.

Residents are spoken to nicely and encouraged to join in activities and treated with respect; they are taken out for inclusion with other people. The care home smells clean and fresh every time I pop in to visit. I never tell them when I am visiting, and the residents smell fresh as well and have clean
clothes.

Brilliant place! Friendly, warm, welcoming, homely and fun
The staff are all amaxing and brilliant at what they do. The activities are fun, the food is amazing and the care is great too! Nothing is ever too much trouble. The facilities are clean and of a great standard. Lovely bedrooms and surroundings
making it very peaceful and relaxing.

It is evident that the full team at Kibworth are devoted to providing the highest level of care for their residents. The environment is happy, caring, professional and warm.
