Avon Park Residential Home

Our lovely Mum moved into Avon Park December 2025 she was in need of some treatment for a sore wound which she could not sort herself at home. After spending two weeks and a lovely Christmas at the home the wound was healing nicely, it was then Mum made the decision to stay. She very much enjoys the happy atmosphere, friendly staff and new found friends. love respect and dignity is reflected in the care of all residents and is of a very high standard. We find Avon Park to be a very happy place. where mum feels safe, happy and loves the company of new friends. We would like to thank Team Avon Park and in the words of our mum "You are all Bloomin Marvalous!"

My mother is very well cared for and I feel she is in the right place for her to be safe. It's a great relief that I can go away and not have to worry.

Avon Park is run exceptionally well. All the staff are excellent, and Amy and Mitchell are fantastic managers. Residents are well looked after and given plenty of choice with their meals. Activities are offered too. They hold plenty of days when the extended family are invited - eg: BBQ's etc and it's a great atmosphere.

Excellent. My wife has now been in Avon for 9 months. She has had extremely good care. All the staff are very good and the managers are a credit to the home.

The home is amazing, all the staff are lovely and friendly and appear very caring. Its clean rooms are spacious, modern, and all the contents are in good condition. Food seems very good, sometimes not to mum's liking, but that's her choice. My mum is very happy.

After visiting 4 care homes, I finally decided on Avon Park based on the level of carers to residents nd a very warm welcome by the manager and the staff, including the chef, the maintenance man was helping settle residents and getting them a cuppa. The staff seem to pull together to create a lovely environment for the residents. The residents look happy and engaged since my mum has been in the home; she has been well cared for, she engages with the staff and is happy with the level of care she receives. She loves her room, which overlooks the gardens. She has joined with some of the activities that the home offers on a weekly basis. One staff member in particular is so kind and spends time with Mum to alleviate any worries. The person who owns the home is also very present.

The experience for my mother & myself has been without a doubt fabulous. The staff are without exception brilliant with their care and help to the residents. Overall I would without exception recommend the Avon Park to any future residents/families.

Mum loves living at Avon Park. She moved in nine years ago and has been happy ever since. She has her own hobbies - such as playing her piano and looking after her pot plants - but also likes joining some of the many activities on offer. She says it's lovely having her own space, but with smiling faces popping by asking what she'd like for lunch or if she'd like to come to Exercise class or whatever. The staff are lovely, and very capable too, coping extremely well with her various health issues. Many of the staff have been there for many years - which I think says a lot. They're skilled, full of warmth, and work very hard to give every resident as full and happy life as possible, so I thoroughly recommend Avon Park.

My mother is beign looked after very well. She moved to the care home in December 2024. My father died unexpectedly in January 2025. The staff have been very kind and caring. My mother is happy and settled.

The staff are kind and patient and listen to her (she speaks very slowly and quietly). She has peace and quiet there. Also, her meds are slightly complicated and this is handled impeccably as far as I have seen.

My cousin was made to feel welcome and at home as soon as she stepped into Avon Park, so much so that a two-week respite visit has turned into a possible permanent stay. Every member of staff (of which there are plenty) has been kind, respectful, welcoming and has treated her with the dignity she deserves. The home is immaculately clean and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Rooms are spacious, bright and homely. Activities are available AM and PM during the week, including quizzes, arts/crafts, games and fitness. This is a very impressive care home which I would highly recommend to friends and family. Well done to all the amazing staff.

The staff were warm and made us welcome. The lunch was first class and the chef came out so we could say thank you for a great lunch.

My uncle was only at Avon Park for a short period, but I will say that this time was the happiest I have seen him in a long time. The staff showed nothing but pure care for his every need. They actively worked to get him used to his new surroundings and enjoy his new life. There was an instant understanding and respect for the man as a person, they tailored his care and the attention they gave him to make him feel involved in the decisions that were made. During his healthy days with Avon Park, he enjoyed nice meals, more than the odd glass of wine and time outside to enjoy the spring weather. His room benefitted from a door to the outside courtyard, and as a previous architect, he took a great deal of pleasure in, and overseeing the expansion works. My distance from him meant that social media calls were necessary and these were always welcome, with help to get the most out of them. I also was updated with a newsletter with photos, which was very comforting. Highly recommended home.

An excellent family-run care home with great staff. Lovely atmosphere throughout. Although Mum has only been there 6 weeks she already feels part of the "family."

My father (95) has just spent the last few months in Avon Park. The care and kindness he received in my opinion was excellent. His physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs were met with care and dignity. After visiting him I would leave with our worry as I knew he was being well cared for. He had the choice to spend time in his own room or engage with the other residents. Moving my father to this home was one of the best decisions. Many of the rooms have outside doors to a courtyard. The home is very homely and friendly, with an excellent manager who kept me well informed of any changes. No dementia and stay for end of life.

The staff and manager go above and beyond to help as well as be understanding of clients' needs. Thank you all for what you do.

Would not hesitate to move into the care home were the need to arise. Currently increasing their capacity, I wish them ongoing success.

The home is bright and airy with committed, caring and friendly staff. The rooms are well-furnished and clean. Overall a great place to spend your days.
