I have dedicated over twenty years to working within the healthcare sector, beginning my journey as a trainee Healthcare Assistant in a neuro-rehabilitation hospital in Wiltshire. From the very start, I knew that supporting others was my calling. As I progressed through roles in both nursing and residential homes, I gained invaluable experience caring for residents living with dementia and learned the importance of patience, empathy, and truly person-centred care.
In 2013, I joined Broadmead Resthome as a part-time Healthcare Assistant while raising my two young children. Over the years, I grew within the organisation, becoming a Senior Carer and later Head of Care. Each step allowed me to take on more responsibility and deepen my understanding of how to provide compassionate, dignified support to those who rely on us.
While at Broadmead Resthome, I achieved my LMC Level 5 qualification and was promoted to Deputy Manager. In March 2024, I was honoured to be appointed as the Registered Manager.
I am incredibly proud of my journey, the people I have supported, and the team I am privileged to lead. I believe wholeheartedly in creating a warm, safe, and respectful environment where residents feel valued and cared for. Using the knowledge and experience I’ve gained, I am committed to guiding my team so that together we can continue to provide the very best care for every individual who calls Broadmead Resthome their home.
I have worked within the healthcare sector for over twenty years. I began my career as a Healthcare Assistant and have since gained extensive experience across a range of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and community care.
I later spent many years supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs, progressing into roles within supported living and community services. During this time, I developed strong leadership skills and advanced to Team Leader before serving as a Deputy Manager for six years.
I hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification and remain committed to continuous professional development.
In 2017, I joined Broadmead Resthome as a Healthcare Assistant, seeking to broaden my knowledge and experience within a different area of care. Over the past three years, I have progressed to Senior Carer and then Head of Care, roles that allowed me to take on greater responsibility while working closely with HCA and SHCA colleagues to support and develop their practice. In March 2024, I was delighted to be promoted to Deputy Manager of Broadmead Resthome.
I am also proud to serve as Broadmead’s safeguarding Champion, attending specialist training and sharing best practice with the team to enhance the quality of care we provide.
Like everyone at Broadmead Resthome, I remain dedicated to ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of compassionate, person-centred care.
I joined Broadmead in 2017 as a part-time driver, a role that allowed me to balance work with caring for my then young children. Before joining Broadmead, I gained many years of experience as a HGV driver, developing strong practical skills, resilience, and a disciplined approach to safety and responsibility. These qualities have continued to support me in my career within the care home sector.
In 2019, I transitioned into the Maintenance role at Broadmead, where I now take responsibility for ensuring the building, equipment, and grounds are safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors. I carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, conduct safety checks, and handle a wide range of repairs to keep the home running smoothly and efficiently.
Working in a care home has deepened my appreciation for the importance of a secure, well-kept environment, especially for older and vulnerable residents. I approach every task with patience, respect, and clear communication, always ensuring minimal disruption and a reassuring presence for residents.

I joined Broadmead in August 2025 as the Head of Activities and Wellbeing.
My career began in the Army, where I first learned the fundamentals of welding and gained the leadership and life skills that set the foundation for my professional journey. I went on to build a 15-year career in the welding industry, progressing through the ranks.
After many successful years in that field, I felt ready for a new direction—one that offered deeper meaning, personal connection, and the opportunity to make a lasting, positive difference in people’s lives. This led me to the care sector, where I have discovered a genuine passion for enhancing the well-being of our residents.
I strive to create meaningful, engaging activities that bring joy, purpose, and comfort to those in our care. Alongside this, I am committed to supporting residents emotionally—being someone they can rely on, talk to, and trust. I also enjoy raising funds to further enrich our activity programmes and ensure we always offer something special.
I bring together all the skills I’ve developed throughout my working life—leadership, teamwork, communication, creativity, and resilience—to thrive in this role. I remain eager to continue learning and growing so that our residents enjoy the very best experience during their time with us at Broadmead.
I joined Broadmead in 2025, bringing with me over 40 years of experience in the catering industry. My background spans a wide range of establishments, including casinos, military catering, pubs, hotels, restaurants, and care homes. This diverse experience has given me a deep understanding of food service at every level, from high-volume operations to personalised, resident-focused dining.
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for delivering high-quality meals that are both nutritious and enjoyable. I thrive on the challenges that catering brings—adapting menus, meeting dietary needs, managing kitchen operations, and continuously improving the dining experience. For me, a clean, empty plate is the best reward, as it shows that the food I prepare brings comfort and satisfaction to the people I serve.
In a care home environment, I am committed to creating meals that support residents’ health, wellbeing, and personal preferences. I work closely with care teams to ensure dietary requirements are met, from fortified meals to texture-modified diets, while still maintaining flavour, presentation, and choice. I also take pride in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
With decades of hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine drive to provide enjoyable, home-cooked meals, I bring leadership, creativity, and consistency to the Head Chef role at Broadmead.
I joined Broadmead Resthome in 2025. I am a dedicated and compassionate professional with 25 years of experience in housekeeping and customer service, supported by 15 years of child care experience with the U.S. Military, where I developed a strong sense of responsibility, structure, and care for individuals of all ages. My background allows me to bring both high-quality housekeeping standards and a warm, person centred approach to a care home environment.
With extensive experience in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety, I am committed to creating comfortable and dignified living spaces for residents. I understand the unique needs of care home environments, including infection control, personal room care, confidentiality, and the importance of contributing to residents’ overall wellbeing.
My leadership experience includes supervising teams, organizing daily tasks, managing supplies, and ensuring that all areas meet regulatory and health standards. I strive to maintain a calm, supportive atmosphere and encourage teamwork to provide the highest level of service to residents and staff.
Additionally, my completion of a Body Language Course has strengthened my communication skills, enhancing my ability to read, understand, and respond effectively to residents—including those who communicate non-verbally—as well as colleagues and visitors.
