My mother first came to Coppermill in January 2023. She has always been treated with respect and dignity. The staff here are beyond kind. Whenever I visited my mum she was always clean and tidy her room was immaculate and was well fed and cared for.
When my mum was on end of life pathway any questions
I had were answered promptly and professionally. There was a dedicated activity team on hand to provide so many activities and quite frankly were amazing they soon discovered my mums love of flowers and flower arranging.
At the end of my mums life the staff went above and beyond and provided my mum with a dignified end. She had someone with her the whole time.
I cannot thank the staff at this home enough for making the last three years of my mums life what she deserved and would recommend this care home to absolutely anyone.
Reply from Amal Raja, Group General Manager at Coppermill CareThank you so much for sharing your experience. We are truly honoured to have cared for your mother and are delighted that she was treated with respect and dignity throughout her time with us. It's wonderful to hear that our team's kindness, the care she received, and the activities, especially her love of flowers, made a positive difference. We are especially grateful for your kind words about the support provided during her end-of-life journey. Your feedback will be shared with our team, who will be deeply touched. The Lindens Residential Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother was a resident here for 6 yrs. She had vascular dementia and in her latter year developed cancer.
For the duration of her stay here her care was second to none. She enjoyed excellent personal care, delicious and varied meals and lots of leisure activities. She particularly enjoyed the weekly
sing songs.
Unfortunately I live 3-4 hours away so my visits were often sporadic. The care home staff were never aware of my plans to visit Mum. No matter what time of day I visited I always found my Mum spotlessly clean. Mum was bedridden for the last 18 months of her life and likewise her bed was always freshly made and she was always very comfortable. Our family were always greeted by very welcoming, cheerful and professional staff who were always available to answer any of our queries about Mum.
The home itself was always well presented and homely, no unpleasant odours and call bells answered promptly.
I can't speak highly enough of the peace of mind The Lindens gave me, so thankful.
Reply from Dessy Ivanova, Manager at The Lindens Residential Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and thoughtful review. Your kind words truly mean a great deal to everyone at The Lindens.
It was an absolute privilege to care for your mum over the years, and we are deeply touched to know that you felt reassured and supported, even when distance made visits difficult. Ensuring our residents are treated with dignity, comfort, and compassion at all times is at the heart of what we do, and your comments about our care, cleanliness, meals, activities, and staff reflect everything we strive for.
Your appreciation will be shared with all our staff, who will be very encouraged by your feedback.
Thank you once again for your trust and for your lovely words. Our very best wishes to you and your family.

Visiting my aunty I was always very happy with her care. She was happy here and had a big smile. Nicola had a very varied list of activities that the residents could do, and all were a lot of fun. Further, the home gave good medical care to my aunt, making her time there as pain-free as possible.

My mum has been in the care home for a few years and is very settled there. The staff are caring, helpful and patient. But I have found that some of her items can go missing and are not always found. It is great to see that there are activities, some of which my mum does participate in and it's so
nice to see her enjoying herself. The kitchen are very good at trying to cater for my mum's eating preferences which can be difficult. I am very happy with her care.

My mum has been in Broadmead for over a year now. Staff are always cheerful and welcoming. They always seem very kind and caring towards the residents . Mum seems happy and settled in the home . Despite having very advanced dementia she has awareness of when people are kind to her or not. She always
responds very positive's the staff and tells me how lovely they are . Because she used to be a carer and has a nurturing personality, she can still recognize this in other people .

Broadmead is one of the best rest homes that I have seen, the staff are both friendly and helpful and the home is maintained extremely well.

The Lindens Residential Care Home

from Andrew B (Son of Resident) published on 25 November 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum was a resident at The Lindens for over 10 years, and sadly died last month. The care she received was wonderful. Before moving to The Lindens, she had been living alone at home and wasn't doing very well. We arranged for her to stay at The Lindens as respite, and after an adjustment period
she thrived at The Lindens and did not want to leave. It was amazing how much she improved in the two years in care, after which she had a slow, but steady, decline as her age took its toll - she died aged 94.
As Mum got older, she slowly became more frail, eventually needing a wheelchair. I was worried that The Lindens, which is not a "nursing" home, would eventually be unable to look after her, but I was delighted that the home did everything it could so that Mum could live out her days in what she regarded as her home.
Latterly, Mum had many things wrong with her and the home consulted us regularly on how to deal with these conditions. I felt we were fully involved in her care.
Reply from Dessy Ivanova, Manager at The Lindens Residential Care HomeThank you for sharing your kind words. It was a privilege to care for your mum throughout her many years at The Lindens, and we're so glad she was able to make it her home.

My father was in New Days care in 2020, they were outstanding, so when I could no longer cover my mother's nursing needs and complex dementia I knew exactly where she would be calling home. I was a bit concerned as the home had a change of ownership since my father was there but there were still familiar
faces. Many employees have worked at New Day for years giving it a "one big family" feel, clearly the staff love working at New Day and looking after the residents there. This shows as all the staff are very caring and compassionate and this has been consistent over the years I have had involvement. I can leave my dear Mum in the comfort of knowing she is in the most capable caring hands of all New Days staff. I hope Bliss Homes appreciate the fact that New Day is so special because of all the amazing employees there, they really do go the extra mile and with some challenging cases to deal with to.If you are looking for a safe and caring environment New Day should be top of your list.

New Day Nursing Home

The best decision i ever made was to ask NewDay to look after my dear Mom. She is looked after so well & my husband & i can tell all the staff really care about her. The food is lovely. Mom was quite thin when she first went there but she has put on some weight which is great. The main thing for me
is that whenever we visit her we can always see she is happy & contented & that means the world & is all we can ask for. The staff are all so friendly & nothing is too much trouble. The best compliment i can give is that whenever we are away or can't visit her for any reason we miss her but we never worry about her cos we know she is in safe loving hands.
