New Day Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father was in New Days care in 2020, they were outstanding, so when I could no longer cover my mother's nursing needs and complex dementia I knew exactly where she would be calling home. I was a bit concerned as the home had a change of ownership since my father was there but there were still familiar
faces. Many employees have worked at New Day for years giving it a "one big family" feel, clearly the staff love working at New Day and looking after the residents there. This shows as all the staff are very caring and compassionate and this has been consistent over the years I have had involvement. I can leave my dear Mum in the comfort of knowing she is in the most capable caring hands of all New Days staff. I hope Bliss Homes appreciate the fact that New Day is so special because of all the amazing employees there, they really do go the extra mile and with some challenging cases to deal with to.If you are looking for a safe and caring environment New Day should be top of your list.

My mother has been in Newday since November 2017. The care that she receives is excellent. The staff are wonderful, to both the residents and relatives.
Activities are provided for the residents. Some events organised are for the relatives to attend, the last one being in August, which was a barbecue.

The best decision i ever made was to ask NewDay to look after my dear Mom. She is looked after so well & my husband & i can tell all the staff really care about her. The food is lovely. Mom was quite thin when she first went there but she has put on some weight which is great. The main thing for me
is that whenever we visit her we can always see she is happy & contented & that means the world & is all we can ask for. The staff are all so friendly & nothing is too much trouble. The best compliment i can give is that whenever we are away or can't visit her for any reason we miss her but we never worry about her cos we know she is in safe loving hands.

My Mum lived at The Lindens for the last 19 months of her life. Frail and tired at the age of 90, she made the decision that she would end her days there, cared for by the wonderful Red House Surgery and the amazing Lindens team who had become her dear friends. The loving care that she received in her
last days was not something that money can buy, given by people who do so much more than carry out a job. That care extended to myself and my family, never intrusive, always supportive and something I will always be grateful for.

My Dad had a terrible experience in a care home which led to a prolonged stay in hospital where he was assessed as requiring a nursing home to best meet his needs. We were worried about this move given our previous experience and that Dad has dementia.
From the first visit the staff were caring and committed
to providing a quality service. All our questions were answered and communication was clear and consistent and Dads transition went smoothly.Dad has settled and they keep us updated about this progress , any changes in his condition and the activities he has partaken.

Wow.What a fantastic Care home.I have worked and visited many homes but this home is way above any I have seen.We decide to place my mother here with her dementia needs and the management and staff have been nothing short of outstanding. They turned what I thought would be a difficult time in to an
amazing experience for both my mother and our family. She was welcomed with big arms as part of a big family. My Mother settled extremely quickly feeling very safe and cared for. It's has been life changing for her providing her with the right support and needs to assist with her dementia. All the staff and management are amazing and go above and beyond at all times and they have a fantastic entertainment team which really works on the needs of each individual. The food is excellent and I can relax knowing my mother is in safe and caring hands. It has made a huge difference to how my mum is now interacting more with the right care and support yet having still her own independence. We have been very satisfied with the care my mum has received from the Lindens. She has been here permanently since December 2023 and previous to that had numerous respite stays. She has complex needs and they know her well and how to care for her. They are proactive in arranging things to make her
more comfortable, be it a waterbed or physio treatment. I live a long way away and can rest easy that she is well cared for. Her hair is always clean and brushed, nails cut and skin moisturised when I visit unannounced They treat her so kindly and she seems happy. I couldn't ask for more. Well done Lindens, especially 3 staff members in particular.

Our father has been a resident at Bricklehampton for 3 months. He's 99 years old. Since being at Bricklehampton he has started to come out of his shell, meeting the other residents for breakfast and lunch, and is even enjoying some of the weekly activities! Our mum has been living at The Lindens for just over a year. She has a complex medical history and the staff and management are extremely helpful and supportive of her. Their support has taken a lot of the worry away from us, knowing that they are checking on her. Their care was recently very helpful
in preventing mum returning to hospital, nursing her back to normal within their care.

The activities that the home runs to provide entertainment are great. I particularly enjoyed the carol singing and mum is always telling me about the cookies and sausage rolls they have helped make.

Our contact with the home has always been great. They have always acted on any issues with mum quickly and the relationship they have with the local medical teams means they can action interventions much quicker than we, as family, had been able to when we were caring for mum ourselves.

Our best friend has no relatives and gave us lasting power of attorney. We choice Bricklehampton Hall because we were impressed with the caring attitude of the staff towards residents, knowing each person by name and treating them with dignity. The home is clean and bright with it's own nursing & caring
staff. There is an on-site kitchen which prepares meals that the residents want. Our friend was in her last few weeks of life and with severe dementia. She was bedbound but staff were on hand to look after her every need. We visited frequently and were treated with kindness and compassion. It's not the cheapest of nursing homes but it is the highest quality in term of care with dignity.

My mother was admitted to Bricklehampton Hall at the start of the pandemic after Pershore Hospital closed. Although we were separated due to lockdown, I was thankful for the stringent procedures to prevent patients and staff from getting Covid-19.
My mother enjoyed the home cooked food, and her birthdays
were always celebrated with lots of treats. The activities staff were a great support.
The standard of nursing care was exceptional, especially after a series of strokes. Nursing staff always kept us informed and took exceptional care 24/7. The end of life care was very supportive and peaceful.
I have frequently recommended Bricklehampton Hall to local people, and we all agree it is simply the best place to be. The views and gardens are also a real asset. Thank you to all the staff who took such dedicated care of my dear Mum, you are much appreciated.
