Since mum has been in the home (13 weeks) she has thrived! As a family we can relax knowing she is being cared for by professional staff. We are confident that all her needs are being managed whether medically or being stimulated by the engagement team. Whenever we visit or call, regardless of who we
talk to, they know who mum is and can give us a general update on her well being and activities.

Just wanted to send a big thank you to all the staff at Hayes Park who made my aunt's 80th Birthday a very special day.
There were lots of lovely messages given to her throughout the time we visited, she had a lovely cake to eat and some celebratory decorations.
We spent some lovely quality time
in the home's setting that was familiar and comforting for my aunt.
Thank you.

My Mother-in-Law has resided at Hayes Park for over 2 years now and is content and her needs well catered for as she is confined to bed/wheelchair. During this time she has grown in confidence by mixing with the other residents and joining in the various fun activities organised by the staff. She has
also gained weight! The staff recently helped us to celebrate her 91st birthday by providing a warm room with tables/chairs etc for close family to attend which we all enjoyed immensely. All staff are friendly and always available for a face-to-face chat when we visit and as we are able to have email and telephone contact with the manager/nurses/office staff any concerns or queries are immediately responded to. We are also kept well up to date with her daily life by photographs and comments posted on the home's online page. We do and we would highly recommend this care home to others.

Only been here for 1 week, has taken Mum time to settle in. All the staff we have come into contact with have been very friendly, caring, and made us feel welcome. As for care to my mum - care staff have showed a caring nature, have spent quality time in providing care, is taking time for Mum to get
used to, but care staff are polite and caring and providing quality of care at same time promoting/empowering independence.
It meets the needs - language, food, religion - well done.

We have only had a positive experience with the facility and especially the carers at Hayes Park. My father has been there for several months now, and in that time he has been looked after extremely well. The staff are amazingly caring, pay attention to the details and crucially actually spend time
with the residents and treat them with love and dignity.
They set up frequent activities to keep everyone occupied, are aware and attentive to the medical details, and also keep family in the loop.
The rooms and space are clean and well looked after, and they also have good security in place for peace of mind.
Overall, this is a wonderful and safe place, with the most amazing staff you could ask for.

The happiness the residents feel when we engage with them, whether busy with fun social activities or reminiscing about old times, or even just having a friendly chit chat, we want our residents to feel loved, safe and respected in their home from home!
Thank you once again!
Best wishes from all of us at Hayes Park.

Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home could not have been more helpful when we wanted to celebrate my parents sixtieth wedding anniversary, they provided a separate small room to allow my mum and dad and a few relatives to celebrate (within the confines of the existing Covid rules) and not to overwhelm
my mum who has dementia. All I can say is thank you it was a brilliant success and a memory for my dad.

My whole family have been delighted with my mother's progress, given that she initially arrived at Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home some fifteen months ago on an end-of-life care pathway. The progress my mother has made is due to the standard of care she has received over the past year. She recently
celebrated her 90th birthday and the staff were most helpful in enabling the family to celebrate with her.

Both my parents came to this care home 2 years ago and have received excellent care. Sadly Dad passed last year but the care Mum continues to receive has been consistently top class, from management, nurses and carers, also catering and housekeeping staff. The home is light and airy, with a vibrant
multicultural community and a cheerful atmosphere, staff working well as a team and also making effort to celebrate events of all faiths. A fabulous variety of fun and stimulating activities are also provided, residents clearly enjoying the chance to do exercise, a craft or bingo etc and have a laugh and chat together. Mum enjoys her meals, which have visibly improved her well-being, the cooking always smells good, with individuals' requirements well catered for. Good communication between care home staff and NHS visiting staff, I am always updated and feel that Mum's needs have been genuinely addressed - a credit to all concerned and huge thanks from us!

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.405)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.405) out of 10 for Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.789 for Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (77 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 4.789
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.616 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 49 registered maximum number of service users is 9.8. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.8 = 0.816
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Adrian Augustyn

Job Title: Care Home Manager Joined: 2013

I am a qualified nurse who started to work in the health and social care industry in 1996. I have since worked in various settings, gaining skills and experience through each of these, including hospital and care home services.

I joined Hayes Park Nursing Home in 2013. During my employment here, I have managed to build a strong, dedicated team and have greatly enjoyed working together with them. I prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our residents above everything and enjoy creating a homely atmosphere within nursing home with my team.

In my spare time I like gardening and DIY.

Job Title: Personal Services Manager

I began my career in the healthcare sector in 1994 when I was new to the country. Being young and ambitious, the healthcare field welcomed me with comforting arms to new opportunities, which still exist thirty years later. Every day brings its own set of challenges but it also brings a deep sense of purpose. I began my journey as a Healthcare Assistant here at Hayes Park and I quickly realised this role was more than just a job - it’s a commitment to being there for people at a stage in life when they need compassion, patience and care the most.

I then progressed to a Senior Carer and later a Patients officer which is a hybrid role that sits between clinical care and emotional support. Being a Patient’s Officer still means being a Carer, just not in the traditional sense. It means that I am often the person families turn to when they have questions, concerns or need reassurance. And for the residents, I am someone they know they can talk too; someone who listens, advocates and makes sure their voices and needs are heard.

Now I am a Personal Service Manager. One of my key responsibilities is managing new admissions. Moving into a residential and nursing home can be overwhelming for both the resident and their family so I’m here to guide them through the process; helping with paperwork, answering questions and offering compassionate support. What I love most about my role is that it allows me to bring humanity into a system that can sometimes feel clinical.

Every day is different, but every day matters. As a team we strive to create an environment where people feel safe, understood and valued and that is something I am very proud of.

Nursing Home for the past 15 years. I have had the best days of my life
during my time working at Hayes Park. The reason for this, is down to our management and my colleagues. I have been getting very good cooperation and support from them to be able to do my role well. I love the good atmosphere we have, working in a comfortable environment without any mental stress, this makes it easier to do my job well at Hayes Park. I am very happy to work here in every sense!

Amicha Ramgi

Job Title: Senior Health Care Assistant

I am Amicha Ramgi, I like to be called “Ani”. I have been working at Hayes Park since 2009. I started as a Health Care Assistant (HCA) and have also worked as a cook for 2 years. I'm now a dedicated Senior HCA and CHAP, so am extremely proud of my achievement!

I enjoy providing patient-centred care, and have spent 15 years working as a HCA before I become a CHAP in 2021. In 2024 I become a Moving and Handling Trainer for all my colleagues too. I have achieved a lot since I joined Hayes Park and am so proud of this.

Throughout my career, I’ve been helping my residents recover and regain health. This is what keep me motivated every day. I'm committed to providing my residents with the best care possible. I love to make people laugh and have a knack for putting my residents at ease. I always practise compassion and understanding as I know how important this is to the wellbeing of my residents.
