My mother has been a resident at Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home for the last 18 months, The care she received was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough for her. Unfortunately, she became very ill last month and returned to Hayes Park from hospital for palliative care. All the staff went
out of their way to make Mum as comfortable as possible in her last days. They were also a great help and comfort to me and my brother during our visits. The home is a credit t the industry and I thoroughly recommend it.

Our father was suffering from dementia and Parkinson’s disease. We found this home back in 2019.
The staff and management are fantastic, very caring and provided dad with excellent care. Ensuring all his needs were met.
His condition worsened as time went on, but they continued to provide the care
he required.
All the staff were very attentive and well trained, along with being very caring. During Covid times, they tried to ensure that the family were able to keep in touch regularly by allowing frequent calls and Skype conferencing. They also ordered a pod so families could visit in a secure environment.
Dad made some friends and enjoyed playing bingo and cards with them. Indian food was also provided to the residents.
Unfortunately, Dad passed away at the end of February. We would like to thank the home for the brilliant care provided to dad and would recommend the care home to other families.

My wife received extremely good care, with love and dignity for nearly 3yrs until her decease in Dec 20. She was kept healthy and happy. I was given a lot of support, advice and dignity if I asked questions. The home is clean and cheery. Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home cannot be faulted.

Overall the care our Gran receives is fantastic. The nursing staff are very attentive and respond well to concerns. There are times when there are staff shortages, which means residents having to wait for care.

Excellent food. Staff are very caring and speak to the residents with dignity.
Mum is really happy here and sits with the other residents, where she did not do that at her previous home.

My partner was cared for at Hayes Park Nursing and Residential Home for six years (from 2010 to 2017). She passed away on 4/1/17. She had dementia (for nine years). At Hayes Park she was looked after in an extremely humane and excellent way. She had a quality of life, despite the dementia. I now do
voluntary work at Hayes Park to thank them.

I was very impressed with the manager, a nurse and the home and its facilities at a visit prior to my brothers discharge from hospital.
Whilst my brother was only in the home for some 30 hours before his death, the care that he received was excellent as was the help and understanding by the staff
to myself and my sister during our visits during his short stay.

The professional care that my friend received was second to none. She recovered her strength whilst in their care, they did extra assessments and provided aids.
Most importantly they responded immediately to queries and concerns and it was obvious they knew their patients intimately and were compassionate
and extremely caring, anticipating needs.
It appeared there were a lot of patients with nursing needs so there appeared to be few activities that were obvious to visitors.

A caring staff that gave my mum dignity and respect in the last few months of her life. We didn't like the idea of putting our mum into a nursing home but after a few weeks we realised that, the professionalism of all the staff, we had made the right choice. Any issues were immediately addressed and
the home was constantly being improved.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.405)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.405) out of 10 for Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.789 for Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (77 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 4.789
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.616 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hayes Park Nursing & Residential Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 49 registered maximum number of service users is 9.8. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.8 = 0.816
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Adrian Augustyn

Job Title: Care Home Manager Joined: 2013

I am a qualified nurse who started to work in the health and social care industry in 1996. I have since worked in various settings, gaining skills and experience through each of these, including hospital and care home services.

I joined Hayes Park Nursing Home in 2013. During my employment here, I have managed to build a strong, dedicated team and have greatly enjoyed working together with them. I prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our residents above everything and enjoy creating a homely atmosphere within nursing home with my team.

In my spare time I like gardening and DIY.

Job Title: Personal Services Manager

I began my career in the healthcare sector in 1994 when I was new to the country. Being young and ambitious, the healthcare field welcomed me with comforting arms to new opportunities, which still exist thirty years later. Every day brings its own set of challenges but it also brings a deep sense of purpose. I began my journey as a Healthcare Assistant here at Hayes Park and I quickly realised this role was more than just a job - it’s a commitment to being there for people at a stage in life when they need compassion, patience and care the most.

I then progressed to a Senior Carer and later a Patients officer which is a hybrid role that sits between clinical care and emotional support. Being a Patient’s Officer still means being a Carer, just not in the traditional sense. It means that I am often the person families turn to when they have questions, concerns or need reassurance. And for the residents, I am someone they know they can talk too; someone who listens, advocates and makes sure their voices and needs are heard.

Now I am a Personal Service Manager. One of my key responsibilities is managing new admissions. Moving into a residential and nursing home can be overwhelming for both the resident and their family so I’m here to guide them through the process; helping with paperwork, answering questions and offering compassionate support. What I love most about my role is that it allows me to bring humanity into a system that can sometimes feel clinical.

Every day is different, but every day matters. As a team we strive to create an environment where people feel safe, understood and valued and that is something I am very proud of.
