I am very happy with the care home as the staff are very helpful and friendly. The facility is always clean and we have enjoyed walking in the large garden. My wife says she is happy there. She also says that she enjoys the food and the snacks they serve.

My mother spent two years at Forest Brow and was very happy there until she passed away in January. The staff are friendly and attentive and actually care about the residents, getting to know them, treating each resident as an individual and taking great care in maintaining their dignity at all times.

Mark, my uncle had vascular dementia and stayed in Forest Brow from January 2020 until he died in September 2022 during the height of of Covid. All the staff were really helpful and went above and beyond what we could expect. Despite the fact anyone with dementia can be difficult the kindness shown by everone at Forest Brow shone through.

As my dad's Alzheimer's progressed the time came when he and the family needed help. Forest Brow was a lucky accident for us, dad came to stay for emergency respite care, and he is a happy resident now. He is loved by the staff and it is a super friendly and homely place for us to visit and spend time. Forest Brow understood the importance of the settling in phase for our family, not just dad. The continous bespoke care dad receives is targeted at his character and his needs - it is exemplary.

Forest Brow Care Home strikes a wonderful balance of providing comprehensive, tailored care with creating a “home” environment and community for its residents. My dad has been a resident for over two years, during which time his weight and diabetes have improved. The staff have managed his dementia thoughtfully and involved us as relatives. The home is always clean, staff are always friendly, engaging and on the ball about residents’ needs. The food, I understand, is excellent - one of the reasons we chose the home - my dad is always happy with his last meal and the chefs cater well for residents’ preferences. Entertainment and events are planned and delivered well. The management takes ownership for and resolves issues as they arise - this has been a really heartening part of our relationship with the home - they know how to run a home well and this is through putting the residents’ needs first and liaising effectively with relatives.

My father has dementia and has been a resident at the home for a year now. I was so worried that he wouldn't be happy in a care home but I needn't have worried. It is an excellent home, he is extremely well cared for and seems settled and content. The staff are friendly and hardworking and treat him with great kindness and respect. It is extremely clean and well-run.

My friend spent just over one and a half years at Forest Brow Care Home.
The staff were pleasant and caring even as the dementia progressed and the unpredictable behaviour increased. Some staff members most definitely went over and beyond the call of duty.

My friend was treated with respect and as an individual.

Forest Brow Care Home cared for my husband with severe dementia right to the end of his life, I have nothing but praise for all the staff for their love and care.
Caring for dementia patients is very difficult and all through Covid they coped admirably, I had no faults with their care and I enjoyed the sing-alongs we had and the cups of tea with wonderful home-cooked cakes
My husband enjoyed the lovely garden and the company of other residents, if we took him out for the day he was always keen to return, he thought he might be missing something!

Overall, the staff were very caring, he was a resident because of personal recommendations.

An excellent home in which my mother is extremely happy. My mother has been in the home since September 2022 and we have nothing but praise for everyone involved in running it, from the cleaners to the cooks, to the carers and the managers of the home. The staff are always very kind and considerate to both her and the family. The food is excellent and she is very well looked after. Her room is very well kept and the decor is of a very high standard. I am very impressed with the activities offered to the residents and the grounds and home are kept impeccably. Thank you for your care and your generosity at all times.

My mother had fairly advanced dementia when she went to live at Forest Brow 10 months ago. I was very reluctant to put her in a home and hand over responsibility for her care to others. However all the worries and doubts pretty much disappeared from the moment she moved in. Much thought and attention is given to the individual needs of each resident and everyone is treated with dignity and respect. The house is in a beautiful setting and as a visitor, you enter a very bright, warm, caring and stimulating environment. There were wonderful day trips out and visits by theatre groups, singers and musicians --- the newborn lambs went down a storm at the end of February.

Families are encouraged to think of Forest Brow as their second home and I was always welcomed with tea, cake and a warm smile. My mother could not have been better cared for during the last 10 months of her life and I can't thank the staff enough for their kindness, patience, thoughtfulness and support right to the very end.

At a time when mum was unwell and increasingly struggling with Alzheimer's. The carers and other staff were exceptional in their care and support. They have always gone above and beyond and retained their humour and patience while ensuring the resident retain their dignity. It's always clear that it's the residents home and staff constantly encourage residents and visitors to treat it as such.

My mother was a resident in this care home for 3 months until she passed away. She suffered with dementia and it was immediately evident how kind and caring all the staff were. Mum settled immediately and loved looking at all the things going on around her. The home is in a beautiful setting and Mum enjoyed sitting in the conservatory and looking out in the garden. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a home. The staff were so supportive at the end.

My father was resident in this Care Home for 9 months until he died in April 2016. He was physically frail and needed support that my 93-year-old mother could no longer give him. From the day he arrived my Dad was treated with respect. The staff were - without exception- kind and caring. I could even describe them as loving towards my father. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. The family were welcome at any time and were treated royally. My father liked to stay in his room and this was respected although he was encouraged to interact with other residents. He had one or two falls and these were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The doctor was called without hesitation when needed.

You may have gathered that my mother, my siblings and I were very pleased we chose Forest Brow for my father for the last few months of his happy and full life.

This is a very kind, supportive and professionally run home providing outstanding kindness and care for both the residents and their visitors. The staff really care about the well being and comfort of everyone (and the homemade cakes are outstanding)!

I recently helped my friend move her mother into Forest Brow after they had a disappointing experience in another care home.
We are incredibly impressed with the fantastic caring staff at Forest Brow, nothing is ever too much trouble. We are always greeted by friendly smiling staff and a welcoming cup of tea. We have been pressed to stay for Sunday lunch with her mother on a few occasions and it was quite delicious; their hospitality and kindness is quite amazing, staff there appear to actively support family relationships which is so refreshing.

I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a caring well run home for their relative.
