My mum has been a resident in Downside House since March 2021. She has a lovely bright room, made homely by family photos and personal items. The care she receives is excellent. From the managers to the carers, and kitchen and cleaning staff, they are all kind and compassionate to her needs and have
coped with the challenges of Covid admirably. I am regularly updated about Mum’s well-being and rest assured any issues with her health are dealt with in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this care home for your loved one.

Downside House is an excellent care home. My Dad was a resident there for just over a year and he really loved the home. It is extremely homely and comfortable and was always clean. All the staff without exception are friendly and helpful and seem to really care about the residents. My Dad really enjoyed
the food and never complained about it in all the time he was there. We were always made welcome whenever we visited and were kept up to date if he was ever unwell.
The Manager is also excellent and knew exactly how Dad was if you rung her and was always helpful if you had any problems. She also went above and beyond her duties by visiting dad in hospital on her way home as we were not always able to as we live on the mainland.
Sadly my Dad passed away at the end of last year but I will always be grateful to everyone at Downside for making his last year so happy and would definitely recommend this Care Home.
