My dad moved into Beulah Lodge in October 2026, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. Moving a loved one into a care home is never easy, but the whole experience was made so much more manageable knowing he was going to such a special place.
Beulah Lodge feels like a home rather than a care home. While the building and gardens are lovely, it's the management and staff who really make it exceptional. They are kind, caring, and genuinely go above and beyond to make both residents and their families feel welcome and supported.

Knowing Dad is so well cared for has made leaving him there so much easier, and I have complete peace of mind. I can't recommend Beulah Lodge highly enough.

We were very happy with the way the staff helped my mother in law settle in as she was a bit upset at leaving her home although she knew she wasn't able to care for herself anymore,

The staff are very friendly , caring and very approachable . And have really made her welcome and sorted out any little problems she had . Christmas the home was decorated beautifully and they all had a lovely Christmas dinner , the chef on site cooks lovely meals with choices , all round very happy she is in safe hands , always very clean and has never had horrible smell in home or in ,mums room , change bedding very regularly several times a week , altogether very happy with how she is cared for , thank you all so much

My mum has been at Beulah for about 2½ years now, and it's such a well-run place. The staff really do care. The managers, Adam and Alex, are engaging, friendly, and extremely caring. The home itself is kept in impeccable condition, and being privately owned, you can tell that the care of the residents is the primary focus. Mum was in two separate residences prior to Beulah, and there's no comparison. I feel very lucky that Mum was offered a place so quickly, and I consider her very fortunate to be at Beulah. I would recommend Beulah without reservation. Thanks to the entire team!

My mum moved into Beulah Lodge in July 2025 after she became unable to cope alone at home following a fall and a diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease.
The staff at Beulah have taken the time to really get to know my mum and it's lovely to see the relationships she's developed with them. The management are incredibly communicative and responsive and it's been a huge weight off my shoulders to know that my mum is safe and so well looked after.
The home is very clean and my mum absolutely loves the food!

After a very difficult few months prior to going into care, it's been amazing to see my mum become herself again and the credit is due to all the staff at Beulah.

My 95 year old mum suddenly became too frail to cope alone in July. We were so grateful that Beulah Lodge were willing to take care of her so quickly. She was able to move in within a handful of days and from the very beginning, every member of the team have been fabulous. They do everything possible to accommodate her individual wishes and needs and keep us regularly updated. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and whenever we visit we are made to feel so welcome and never like strangers. We feel so lucky to have found Beulah Lodge

My mum had previously had a very difficult few months in and out of hospital following several falls. The whole team at Beulah Lodge have been kind, caring, and supportive since mum has been with them. They daily help to improve her confidence, and any of her concerns or requests are responded to with kindness and patience.

My mum has been a resident at Beulah Lodge Rest Home for three and a half years now. Throughout this time, Mum has been treated with patience, dignity and respect.
As her health has declined, they have adapted all the care needs to suit. Mum has always been a social person and spends most of her time in the lounge with other residents and staff, taking part in the activities (which friends and relatives can attend too). Mum loves the music, sing-alongs and entertainment.

The management and staff are welcoming and kind and there is no need to book appointments to visit. It is a friendly place with a strong family feel, well-maintained and run.

My father was a resident at Beulah Lodge Rest Home until recently passing away at the hospital. I just wished to convey what a special place Beulah was to Dad, where he was a resident for almost six happy years.
When Dad went into care I had deep reservations and concerns that what we were doing was for the best. However, thankfully, Beulah soon became his 'home' where he received so much kindness, love and care. I will always be grateful to all the excellent staff and management there, who did so much for him as his physical health declined due to Multiple sclerosis and age. Fortunately, Dad's mental faculties remained and he had built up many bonds with the staff, who took time with Dad getting to know the person and his interests. This is the benefit of a small, intimate home/family like Beulah - the ability to build up relationships with other residents and staff members.

If like me you are uncertain about a loved one going into care, then I can only recount my own experience here, thank you, Beulah.

My mum moved into Beulah Lodge Rest Home in December 2022. She was 91 and had been living independently. However, due to her age and frailty, she needed that extra help.

As a family, we had concerns that we were doing the right thing. Therefore, all of us were so happy to see how quickly Mum settled in. She felt safe and loved having people around. The staff are excellent. They are kind and caring. We never had to make an appointment to visit like some homes. The building has its limitations because of its style and age and not being purpose-built. What struck me when choosing Beulah was the atmosphere and the fact that the staff were efficient, kind and caring. The home has a high level of cleanliness. Communication to and from the home is very good. Sadly, our mum passed away in June at Beulah due to frailty of old age. I'm so glad that she was there and not in a hospital. They kept us informed and we were all able to see Mum before she passed away. I would recommend Beulah without a doubt.

Have found the manager and staff to be caring and considerate.
There has been a lot of redecorating within the home which has improved it considerably.

Have been informed of any problems with Mum's wellbeing, promptly as should be. We have a general meeting at least once a year which includes managers and residents' loved ones which is very informative. The home also has a new owner and it was nice to see him at the meeting.

My auntie loves Beulah Lodge, they take very good care of her. The staff are lovely and she has made some wonderful friends, which is a huge relief for us, she doesn't feel lonely anymore. The food is fantastic, with lots to choose from and the home is very accommodating if I wish to join her for lunch too. We have enjoyed visits to the gardens and they have some lovely social activities which my aunt thoroughly enjoys. A lovely home with a very welcoming atmosphere.

My mum is a resident at Beulah Lodge and is very happy there. The staff are very caring. It’s comfortable and very homely. The food is excellent, and plenty of it with a varied menu. I viewed a few places, and this one was the best. As soon as we walked in, it felt right. We are glad about our choice

My mum passed away at this home on 8th March. I was called on 7th March to be told she was dying and needed to come in and say goodbye. Being totally unaware she had been put on end-of-life care a week before on GP's instructions. She was barely lucid so was unable to really communicate. On ringing, that evening asked to be told as soon as she passed away. The way I found out she had died was when I rang the next morning to arrange visiting, nobody had bothered to tell me. After complaining to the owner was advised they follow the correct procedure as only one person is advised. My sister in Australia was listed as the relative to be told. The home was aware we were estranged, so she would not have advised me. Find it really insensitive that my mum's next of kin wasn't advised how ill she was, and bizarre to be called in to say goodbye but not bother to tell me she had died? Procedures were followed, but nobody offered any apology for this.

My father had to have respite care for four weeks at Beulah Lodge Rest Home after a fall. This turned into him needing permanent care after being assessed. The home could not have been more helpful in organising his initial respite care even receiving my father on a bank holiday weekend. Prior to this, he was visited by the manager at his home so that she could meet him and find out his likes and dislikes to make his stay with them as comfortable as possible. All of the carers are kind, considerate and our father hasn't looked so well for a long time. My father enjoys the entertainment at the home with the weekly bingo and quiz afternoons. The meals are freshly cooked each day with fish and chips being my fathers favourite! A lovely and small rest home with friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble.

Friendly and reasonably efficient staff. Good food. Very nice room. The whole building gives the impression of being a bit cramped but this might be forgiven as it was not purpose-built. Proving a bit difficult for my mother as she has (new) mobility problems. Everyone seems to be dealing with COVID well.

My mum is 95 years old and moved to Beulah Lodge in February 2021, after a false start at another care home for four months. It is clear she is much happier, she feels safe and cared for and respected for her views. She is treated with dignity, compassion and care and I have only the utmost praise for the manager and her staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I know mum will love the garden and being able to go to church. The fact that everything has been handled so carefully in such dreadful conditions due to COVID is a testament to the quality of the home and the people that work there.

My mum has spent the last 10 years or so being looked after at Beulah. She is very happy to be there and I am reassured that she is extremely well looked after by the caring staff and professional management team. We could not ask any more of them especially now in these unprecedented times, they have been outstanding!

My 96-year-old mother moved into Beulah Lodge just as the coronavirus hit. The manager moved very quickly to get my mother admitted as it was clear that the coming lockdown would make it impossible for her to manage in her assisted living flat without my help. It was very difficult for my mother to move, have to be in isolation and then in lockdown and not see me. I don’t know how they did it but the staff kept her going throughout. She was welcomed into her cosy room with a bouquet of flowers. Now that she is able to mix with the other resident's life is a little easier. She is well looked after, well fed and as happy as she can be under these difficult circumstances. I know that the many activities on offer have had to be curtailed because of the lockdown and look forward to the time my mum can have the full experience of living at Beulah Lodge.
