My sister and I chose this home for our 97 year old aunt, as we felt it had such a homely and welcoming atmosphere. We are so impressed with the way our aunt is looked after by the wonderful, kind and caring staff. Although she was reluctant to leave her flat, our aunt has thrived in this home and seems so much happier. There are activities and entertainment to stimulate and enjoy, as well as lots of little treats - chocolate bars, fruit or ice cream in the afternoon. We would not hesitate to recommend this outstanding care home.

The staff at Blair Park are dedicated and personable. My sister is in good hands, she is treated with respect and professionalism. The premises are well maintained and clean. Each resident is treated as an individual with careful care.

My mother lived here for the last 3 years of her life. All the staff treated her with dignity and respect and they went out of their way particularly for the last 6 months of her life. I cannot thank them enough for their support.

We visited a number of care homes before choosing Blair Park. We were struck with the warm feeling you got when entering. The staff are excellent, caring and friendly. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for any of them. There is a wonderful feeling of happiness in the home.

Rooms: Bedrooms are predominantly single, some en-suite. We have a only a few shared to accommodate married couples, sisters or indeed those that choose to have company. Clients are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their families support. All rooms have nice furniture and bright curtains, tv's if they choose as well.
Facilities: We have a lovely open plan ground floor socialising area which consists of 2 large lounges both with televisions and music facilities. Very bright and spacious. There is a large open plan dining room between these 2 lounges and the communal areas gives a spacious feel through out allowing our clients to walk around independently. Plenty of toilet and wet room facilities. We have a large enclosed back garden and a smaller courtyard garden off one of our lounges. This is a popular area for having afternoon teas and ice creams and often activities outside in the fresh air for those that choose to participate. We have 2 activities coordinators that undertake activities of various options.
Cleanliness: We have a full crew of house keeping team on every day. They undertake cleaning every day and have weekly and monthly deep cleans to all areas. the home audits regularly as well to ensure all clean and to the standard we expect from our staff for a nice clean environment.
Value for money: The clients are asked in residents circle meetings and on one to ones about their thoughts with regards to meals, living environment, activities.

She was happy there and for that, I am so grateful. The staff treat the residents with respect. The atmosphere is one of happiness and comfort. The staff are cheerful and ensure that everyone is cared for properly. I could not have found a better place for Mum to end her days.

After researching other local facilities with both my parents they decided to apply to Blair Park. Since arriving they have both been cared for extremely well. They have a lovely double room which is always very clean and warm. All the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My mother has been at Blair Park for seven months. I have been very impressed with the care mum receives. The staff (all) are very kind and caring including the managers. The residents are treated with dignity and respect, all look very clean in their appearance. The food and choice looks appetising and they get extras of bananas, choc bars in the afternoons. There is regular entertainment, nails painted, bingo etc. The home is always warm, clean, also toilets. My mother commented that staff were very kind, They also pay good attention to their needs. We feel confident we have chosen the right care home which gives us peace of mind and would recommend it to friends and neighbours.
