My mum moved into park view from London just a couple of months before Covid hit us all, she lived there right up un till May 2025 where sadly her needs got worse and she is now living in a nursing home, she loved it there she really did, and we as a family were very happy with parkview. All the staff
were lovely caring kind compassionate. The home is clean and tidy and mum had a lovely room. We were very sad when she had to leave. I would recommend this care home to anyone.

The Oast has been fantastic in looking after my dad since the day he moved in. The manager and all her staff are supportive and friendly and keep me up to date on if there are any changes in my dads general health. Dads room as well as the other communal areas are clean and the staff do their best to
accommodate any activities my father likes to do.

Woodside Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I chose Woodside from a selection of 5 Care Homes for a few good reasons. It looks Smart, has a good position, the cost per month acceptable, the staff--when I arranged to view--were polite, helpful and informative. Dad first arrived at Woodside after a period spent in hospital, he was suffering from
mild dementia and prostate problems which meant he had to have regular catheter and bag monitoring. After a few weeks he looked so much better and his physical health and well-being improved due to the continued care and friendship and of course the good food. Dad was there for nearly 2 years and I know that the staff were deeply saddened by his death. My thanks to everybody at Woodside for making his time with you so effectual.

Whenever I've visited my mum at Charing House she always looks well cared for. The staff are very caring and approachable, should I have any queries about how my mum is getting on I'd have no hesitation in speaking to the managers knowing that they'd be able to sort things out which gives me great confidence.
My mum's room is kept clean and tidy and the staff make sure mum eats and drinks enough.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I stayed at Hillbeck for 2 and half weeks for respite care following a stay in hospital. During my time here it has opened up a whole new world to me on how the care system works and the care that people receive. Having read and seen reports of what happens in care homes I have not seen anything that
resembles this kind of care within Hillbeck. The food has been amazing and if you don't like what's on the menu there is plenty of other choice and nothing is to much trouble. The house keeping team is excellent and everything is always clean and tidy. Everyone here at Hillbeck is very friendly and accommodating.

It was a big move for my father to go into a care home, however from the moment he arrived at Rosewood the care he has received has been second to none. The staff are wonderfully supportive towards my father which is evident from his appearance every time I see him and the manager has been incredibly
supportive with no question or request ever being too much trouble. Thank you all.

St Stephen's

from K P (Friend of Resident) published on 9 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My friend left hospital in a poorly state and went into St Stephens. He previously lived with his mum who passed away during his hospital stay. Having no other family I was concerned about how he would settle. However, he is absolutely thriving in this kind and caring environment. He thinks of it as
home and loves the staff who are now his "family". He always looks well groomed and above all he is constantly smiling. He has had many experiences that he hadn't had before. Seeing him so excited for Christmas brought a lump to my throat. He was able to shop for Christmas gifts, someone he'd never done. He met Santa and ate his Christmas lunch with his friends. When he lived with his mum we were very concerned about his health but now he is cared for and he feels loved. I always say thank you to the wonderful staff for getting him so well, mobile, much more verbal and content. He also takes part in activities which he really enjoys. It is joy to see his happy face

Rosewood Care Home

I cannot rate or recommend Rosewood highly enough!
After caring for my Mum at home for 5 years, her dementia got too much for me alone to deal with. I was very dubious about putting her into a care home and was extremely overwhelmed and worried.
I needn't have been, because the Staff at Rosewood
are like an extended Family!
That goes right through to the kitchen staff and the cleaning/washing team too!!
My Mum went into Rosewood in October 2023 and most of the staff are still the same as the day she arrived!
The food that is cooked from fresh daily is fab! The rooms are kept clean and tidy too! Even the maintenance man knows all the residents!
Management, Carol and Vicky have been absolutely fantastic! Always keeping me in the loop and there as support for me too!
My Mum became extremely challenging and Rosewood went above and beyond to get her the help she needed!
Care Home Staff don't get praised enough for what they have to do or deal with on a daily basis! Thank you Rosewood team
