Everyone at Hillbeck are kind helpful and really do care for the residents, it feels like a family atmosphere and from what I can see everyone is valued. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the residents are offered plenty of fun and entertainment or quiet time if that's what they prefer. The food is lovely and home cooked and there is always a cuppa available. Everyone seems genuinely happy. Our family member settled very quickly and this I feel is due to the care, support and attention given equally to everyone as everyone is made to feel involved,
The staff at Hillbeck are friendly, approachable and are all excellent. The care and understanding they give to my mother is first class and I always see her happy and well looked after. Since she's been at Hillbeck she has been eating better and thanks to the activities ladies interacting with others more.
Hillbeck is a very well run care home. I am able to visit my mother whenever I like and the staff are very accommodating and welcoming of this. The staff communicate with my mother well and take their time with her whilst providing care. The activities staff are great and provide fun activities for everyone to join in with.
I stayed at Hillbeck for 2 and half weeks for respite care following a stay in hospital. During my time here it has opened up a whole new world to me on how the care system works and the care that people receive. Having read and seen reports of what happens in care homes I have not seen anything that resembles this kind of care within Hillbeck. The food has been amazing and if you don't like what's on the menu there is plenty of other choice and nothing is to much trouble. The house keeping team is excellent and everything is always clean and tidy. Everyone here at Hillbeck is very friendly and accommodating.
The management and staff at the care home are amazing. My mother has dementia and can decline care at times however the staff are so patient with her to ensure she gets the care she needs. The activities team ensure my mother and others are kept engaged in activities throughout the day and go the extra mile to make sure special times of the year such as Christmas an birthdays are celebrated.
I can't praise the staff at Hillbeck care home enough for the work they do in caring for my Mum. They are very good at anticipating when she'll need his care given and are very polite and kind in their approach. The management do a great job in keeping me informed on how my mother is doing on a day to day basis and her room is kept clean. Thank you all so much.
What a lovely pleasant care home Hillbeck is, there is always a warm welcome when I come to visit my Dad. The staff are happy to help with anything and the care and compassion they show my Dad and other residents is of the highest standard. His room is nicely decorated, modern, clean and he enjoys participating in the social events put on.
I'm really pleased my mother is at Hillbeck, all the staff have been so kind and courteous towards her. The food is very good with it being varied and tailored to my mothers dietary requirements and the social events and activities put on are very entertaining.
Since my Dad moved into Hillbeck he has a whole new lease of life. The staff can't do enough for him, they ensure he is well dressed in the morning, eats well and engages with others. The environment is modern and well suited for older people and his room and clothes are kept clean.
My Dad is having a lovely time living at Hillbeck. The staff take amazing care of him and have also made myself and the rest of our family feel very welcome. There are varied and interesting activities which take place as well as entertainers which come into Hillbeck to perform and the manager has been very supportive from the very start of when my Dad arrived at Hillbeck with keeping me informed about how he's getting on.
I would definitely recommend Hillbeck for your loved one.
All staff know all the residents and their regular family visitors by name. Staff always know where residents are. As with many dementia residents wandering is a natural thing for them to do. I know my mum could never wander outside because of the security that is in place. I can confidently recommend Hillbeck. It really is like my 2nd home.
Hillbeck was by far the best care home i saw when looking for somewhere for my mother and I've never regretted choosing them. The manager has been extremely supportive throughout the moving in process and the staff are very polite and caring. Mums room is modern and nicely decorated as is the whole care home and it's nice when they arrange for outside entertainers to come in.
The care and staff at Hillbeck Care Home are of the highest level. They are friendly and always there to go through any problems or questions I may have. My mum is very well looked after and there are always activities for people to do, I can't thank the staff and the manager enough for the work they do and the care they have shown to my mum.
My father is extremely well cared for at Hillbeck, all the staff show respect and love towards him. The home is always a happy place to be in with everywhere being nicely decorated and always some form of activity/entertainment going on. The meals are very good and varied, and the manager's door is always open if I need to chat about anything.
I visit my mum a few times a week and every time I visit I can see she is being well cared for. The staff are superb at making sure she is well dressed, content and well catered for with food and drinks. The manager and deputy manager are very approachable and keep me well informed if there are any issues with Mum's day-to-day living.
We can't praise the management and staff highly enough. We are kept well informed about Mum's care and families are made welcome for visits and invited to regular seasonal parties. Residents have a wide range of activities and entertainment opportunities.
We would highly recommend Hillbeck to any families in need of an excellent care home for their loved ones.
I looked at 7 care homes with my sister-in-law and as soon as we walked into the friendly, clean, welcoming Hillbeck we both said ‘This is the one!’ Straight away I could feel the kindness of the staff and could see that it was very clean and welcoming and the residents looked happy and relaxed. I know my father-in-law is so well looked after and is content and all his needs are met. I can’t speak highly enough about the whole team, they are always warm but professional and go above and beyond. The family and I can sleep well knowing our loved one is looked after so well and I have recommended Hillbeck to many people. They have lifted a huge weight off of our shoulders as a family and can’t thank them enough.
They went out of their way to accommodate my mother and treated her with kindness and dignity throughout her journey to the end of life.
Myself and my siblings felt truly humbled by their support and care, they went above and beyond any expectations we may have had.
Throughout our visits we saw their compassion extended to all residents and although my mother wasn’t able to take part in the activities they were plentiful and fun.
We had looked at a lot of care homes and Hillbeck stood head and shoulders above all of them.
Our Mum was only in Hillbeck for four weeks sadly but the whole family was welcomed wholeheartedly by the team from the moment we first visited. The staff really do care for their residents and their families as individuals and nothing was too much trouble for them. The atmosphere in the home as a result is uplifting, head and shoulders above any other home we looked at. This is what we wanted for Mum. Being in Hillbeck enabled us to spend time with Mum without worrying about the distractions of her everyday living, as the staff did all of this. The physical environment is lovely too, light, airy and spotlessly clean. We cannot recommend Hillbeck highly enough and if I ever needed the type of care Hillbeck provides, this is where I would want to be.
