My Mother in Law has been a resident at Woodside care Home for 4 years plus. She is very well cared for, the care team are amazing and tend to all the residents with respect and dignity.
I feel my Mother in Law is in a safe, clean and kindly environment.
The Management team are always available to talk about anything.
Woodside has a family feel. There are events held throughout the year which brings families and friends together.
The summer fête is a great afternoon full of fun events and great food.
The first time I visited Woodside, I was struck by how lovely and bright the building and rooms are, a lovely clean spacious place to be.
The outside area is well maintained and easily accessible from French windows in the dinning room.

I would highly recommend this home.

I chose Woodside from a selection of 5 Care Homes for a few good reasons. It looks Smart, has a good position, the cost per month acceptable, the staff--when I arranged to view--were polite, helpful and informative. Dad first arrived at Woodside after a period spent in hospital, he was suffering from mild dementia and prostate problems which meant he had to have regular catheter and bag monitoring. After a few weeks he looked so much better and his physical health and well-being improved due to the continued care and friendship and of course the good food. Dad was there for nearly 2 years and I know that the staff were deeply saddened by his death. My thanks to everybody at Woodside for making his time with you so effectual.

I only have good things to say about Woodside, my mum had been there just over 3 years and during that time they treated her with compassion and respect. All the staff are friendly and helpful and always made us feel welcome when we visited.
During her last days they went above and beyond to make her and us comfortable.

We would like to thank all the care staff/managers for looking after her so well and giving us peace of mind that mum was always safe and well in their care.

When visiting my husband (always unannounced) ALL the staff are very friendly, answer any questions we have (myself and family). In fact, nothing seems to be a problem. The food is excellent and special days (easter, mothers day, fathers day) are treated as very special days with family attending if they wish to. We are very pleased we chose Woodside for his care.

Since last December (2024), Mum has settled in very well. The staff soon realised how to manage Mum's needs. They are so kind and caring. Mum has been joining in with activities, something we though wouldn't happen. The home is always clean, food is good and nice choices. It is such a happy and calm place to be. We are so relaxed knowing that Mum is very well cared for.

Having visited many care homes before deciding on Woodside, I can safely say I made the right decision. The staff are all great and approachable and the manager always has time to speak to me about how my mother is doing. The home is clean and the food is well-presented and nutritious.

My Mother moved to Woodside in September 2023 and quickly settled in. She has a lovely room, which is kept immaculate by housekeeping as are her clothes. The size of the home and small number of residents mean that no communal space ever seems crowded, residents can make use of the dining room, the large lounge, and the TV room, and there is always a quiet corner to be found. There are a variety of activities, from gluing and sticking, to choir concerts, seasonal parties, etc. which residents can benefit from and be involved in, with a patio area stocked with garden items and plants. My Mother had a few hospital stays and on her return, I could not fault the care and attention she received from staff. The whole team is very approachable and committed to providing their best at all times. My Mother has a marvelous relationship with all the staff. We count ourselves very lucky to have found Woodside, and indeed the marvelous team that work so hard each day.

From the moment that Mum arrived, she was treated with the utmost care and respect. Her room was clean, warm, and welcoming.
I love the fact that all residents are encouraged to go to the day room rather than be left alone in their room, though if wanted, they can. Mum has been encouraged to go to daytime activities, which she has done.

The food is more than adequate and Mum enjoys everything that is cooked for her. The staff interacts with the residents, by sitting and chatting, cuddling them or just making them laugh. The main thing for me is that my Mum is happy and contented. Nobody wants to put their loved ones into a home, but if they are happy, it helps so much.

I am very satisfied with the care my mother is receiving at Woodside Care Home. Woodside has recently had renovation work done to it which has really modernised the entire home. During my mother's time at Woodside I have found the staff to be polite and caring. The food is good with there being plenty of choice and the activity coordinator does a great job in engaging and entertaining the residents.

My father has been in here since October, he settled in so quickly and it's not hard to see why. The building is beautiful, very clean, tidy and homely and the staff, every single one I've met, including the kitchen team, are just great! So friendly and kind! Nothing is too much trouble it seems. Today I had trouble with the snow when trying to collect Dad to take him out for lunch, unable to head out the staff invited me in instead. They happily sat me down for Sunday lunch which was really good, a big roast beef. I watched the staff treat each and every resident with care and kindness, way above and beyond what I would have expected all that time ago before Dad first moved in. I am so grateful to the whole team for the care and support they give my dad! Thank you from us all!

An enormous thank you for all the hard work, love and care that you put into yesterday's Jubilee party.
You made my husband very happy and my daughter and myself too.
We are so fortunate to have found you all to take over when we couldn’t.
One staff member, in particular, thank you for your funding efforts for entertainment.

God bless you all.

We recently took the tough decision to put Mum into a home as she needed constant care for her dementia and after only a few weeks of being there today I had my mum back. She was so happy and couldn’t give the staff enough compliments. They truly are unsung heroes who don’t get enough praise for what they do. My family are so grateful to you all and it’s nice and comforting to know that my mum's in safe hands. I'll remember to bring more cakes when I visit next weekend...you all deserve a treat once in a while!

My mother tells me that the food is nice and Woodside accommodates her requests for drinks and snacks etc. and the home itself is clean and tidy.

My dad was only at Woodside Care Home briefly.
The team of care workers were completely wonderful!
He died in their car, and they could not have done any more.
I sat with my dad; endless tea was offered, and they even fed me.

The team were 100% fantastic, and I cannot recommend this place enough!
