My father has spent over a year at Brambles Care Home. During this time he has been well looked after and cared for. All the staff are kind and caring and have catered for all his needs. The home is very friendly, the food is all home cooked and of excellent quality. The home provides plenty of activities and visitors and relatives are all made to feel welcome.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for somewhere to be looked after in a kind and respectful way
My mother has been a resident at Brambles Care Home for nearly five years. Throughout this time, they have communicated well, and all members of staff have been friendly, cheerful, kind, patient and caring. Initially, my mother was encouraged to be as independent as possible but as her health deteriorated, the staff have adapted mum's care plan to cover her additional needs, allowing her to stay in the place that she now regards as home. We (her children) are so grateful to the staff at Brambles for their continuing care and kindness.
Thank you Jane for your kind words, I will ensure these are passed onto the team.
Dad was always happy at Brambles Care Home. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing good support to the family. This was especially true as Dad approached the end of his life. He always enjoyed the food.
The care my mum received from Brambles Care Home was brilliant from start to finish. Mum was made to feel welcome as soon as she arrived following a spell in hospital after a bad fall. The carers went above and beyond their remit and I felt Mum was in a safe, clean, fresh, modern and caring environment. The knowledge and expertise of the carers was evident. The food was excellent and Mum gained weight within a week of arrival. Sadly, Mum never recovered from her time in hospital and passed away two weeks ago but I am so pleased she spent her final days at Brambles where she was happy and well cared for. My sister and I were also looked after by this friendly team. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this home. First-class!
Mum was very poorly just before Christmas and the staff dealt with her professionally and caringly. They called for an ambulance and stayed with her until she was taken to hospital despite their shift being over an hour and a half before. This is a typical example of going the extra mile which many of the staff do because they care! This is the best care home in the area. Everyone is so friendly. The food is great. The activities are imaginative and I am grateful my mother is safe with them.
Whilst my mum was only at Brambles Care Home a short while, I could not fault their care, both for residents and relatives. It has a homely feel, home-cooked food and they accommodate any dietary requirements and the carers go above and beyond. Highly recommended.
My mother, who is now 106 years old, has been at Brambles for just over two years and we cannot fault the care provided. Brambles has a wonderful culture and professional standard of care which makes the experience as close to being in the resident's own home as possible. From the welcome, after approaching the front door (always the smell of fresh laundry), the staff (caring, housekeeping, catering and activities) provide sensitive, personal and exceptional care. Very regular, formal, Care Plan reviews ensure no matters are missed In addition, the owners and management team hold very effective, regular, residents' and relatives' meetings which ensure any concerns are fully and promptly addressed. The rooms, facilities and food are high quality. Activities and events are excellent, varied and tailored to the current residents. Residents are always treated with great respect, patience and interest. Staff never appear to be simply working their contracted hours and always make residents feel central to their work, often going more than the 'extra mile', whenever necessary. Our family researched many care homes before choosing Brambles and we have felt confident that our choice has been absolutely the correct once, every day, for more than two years.
My mother was very happy during the 8 months she lived in Brambles Care Home. She felt that her choices were respected in every aspect of her care. She was very fond of all the staff who were wonderful with her. Kind, attentive and very caring. My mother thoroughly enjoyed the home cooked food. I have never known her to eat so much. Although she wasn't always well enough to participate in the wide variety of activities, she was always asked if she wanted to join in. The management and staff work hard to make Brambles a safe, clean and friendly environment to enable the residents to feel at home and the relatives confident that their loved ones are being well cared for. I would like to thank the staff for looking after mum.
Brambles Care Home is a home where my mother feels well looked after. The carers are friendly and provide for her needs. She feels secure and comfortable. As her daughter, I am confident that she is being well cared for. The activities provided are varied and Mum particularly enjoyed the boat trip outing this summer.
Thank you so much for this review, we are pleased the boat trip was a success enjoyed by all who went.
The lunches are all homemade and there are always tea and coffee available.
The care staff are wonderful - probably could do when one or two more.
Mum's health has improved and regular GP visits keep on top of any issues.
Thank you for your kind and positive review, I will ensure I feedback your comments as to regards our staff team.
The size of the building and the number of rooms make for a good atmosphere. The garden is very attractive and well-kept.
I feel my mother is in good hands.
Not just in September but for the whole time has been at Brambles Care Home we cannot fault the care provided. This includes the crafts and entertainment on a weekly basis, the range, choice and quality of food, activities away from the home as well as the day to day washing, cleaning and care provided. A family friendly environment.
After struggling with independent living, we made the difficult decision to move my dad into Brambles Care Home. I have only had positive experiences. There is a very homey feel and all the staff have been lovely to myself and Dad and are always cheery. My dad rates the food highly and the carers are very attentive. There are lots of events and activities with encouragement to get everyone involved. I have great piece of mind knowing my dad is being well looked after and safe.
Possibly more comfy wooden furniture. Coffee/tea machine for visitors. Improved wifi. Possibly more drinks and better classes!
Thank you for your review. Since your visit, you'll be pleased to know that a refreshment area is now available for friends and family. If you would like to pop into the office next time you visit, I would be more than happy to discuss your other points. Many thanks.
The staff are amazing here! Nothing is too much trouble and all are welcoming to visitors and great with my dad. It’s been lovely to see the “Brambles Team” in action now that Covid has abated somewhat. There have been summer parties, fundraising events and Christmas do’s including residents and family/ friends. This is all extra to the usual packed program of events; flower arranging, crafts, games, exercise sessions, quizzes, birthday teas etc, etc!
Brambles really is the best!
I visited her today and she’d had her hair done by the hairdresser and her nails attended to, and she had enjoyed a delicious lunch. I was happy that she was happy!
My mother has been a resident of Brambles Care Home for several years. She has mental health support needs as well as being elderly which the staff take in their stride. She is always treated with respect and the staff take time to encourage her to manage her self-care as much as she can and engage with activities. There is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere whenever I visit.
Brambles Care Home is exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Carers are kind, professional and positive. Activities are varied and appropriate and enjoyable. The manager is outstanding, approachable and efficient. Food and hydration is very good and the chef prepares superb birthday and celebration cakes and teas. Change of occupancy could include renewal of carpet. Our mother is very happy and well cared for.
Brambles is a care home which in every respect deserves this description. From what I have seen over five years, it gives unremitting individual care to each resident, to whose wellbeing each member of the staff is dedicated. The welcoming and friendly atmosphere in its comfortable public and private rooms, the range of services and activities available and especially the familiar presence of long-serving members of staff, all serve to provide an agreeable and caring home for its residents.
