Always very warm and welcoming with lots of laughs. All the residents are engaged in activities daily, and the manager goes above and beyond to ensure that individual residents have their own personal touches within the home. Residents are treated as individuals and part of a family.

I visited Dad and he was beautifully turned out and enjoys sitting quietly.
He was relaxed and content. All the staff show kindness, interest and often use humour to engage him.
We joined in the musical afternoon. Many of the residents were singing along with the session leader, Dad tapped along to
the rhythm. Lovely!

Mum is 97 and has been in Cedardale Residential Home for nine months now.
The prospect of going into a care home has always been a frightening thought for her but after breaking her hip and a gradual decline in her mobility and confidence, she now realises that she cannot look after herself safely.
Mum
is very well supported in Cedardale by all management and staff and they are all very kind to her.
Mum likes the fact that she has the choice of spending time in her own room with her own TV etc. or she can join the other residents in the communal lounge if she so wishes.
I visit on a regular basis and find that they keep me informed on all issues that affect Mum and are quick to resolve any concerns that l might have.
Overall, l am very happy with the service that is provided and it is a great comfort to know that she is being well cared for in a safe and friendly atmosphere.

The staff at Cedardale are exceptionally caring and professional. My father has complex needs, he is treated as an individual with fantastic person-centred care. The communication between the manager and myself is wonderful. I am kept fully informed at all times. I honestly can not recommend the manager
and all the staff any more highly.
So lucky that my dad is there.

Mum has been in Cedardale for almost a year now and has just celebrated her 102nd birthday. The staff put on a wonderful party for her to make it really special, at this difficult time when we are all in lockdown due to the Covid pandemic. They even sent me a video which is a lovely keepsake.
It puts
our minds at rest knowing our loved ones are safe and warm, and I can't thank them enough for taking such great care of her and always being so patient and kind.
The home has recently been decorated and improved. Also, there is a lovely garden in which they have various activities during the summer and Mum loves to watch the birds and squirrels as well as taking part in the planting of flowers which makes her happy.
All in all, it is a lovely, well-run home.

I think the home is an excellent place for my mum to live as everybody has the same illness. The staff are very, very helpful and caring. The food is lovely. My mum's room is always kept clean and staff are always popping in to make sure she's alright and making her cups of tea.

The staff organised a garden party for all residents, family and friends. Food was good and well-cooked on the barbecue. There was a musician singing all the oldies which everyone enjoyed, a bouncy castle for the children and later a cream tea and raffle. It was very well organised and even the staff
who were on a day off came in to help. The staff are really very caring to the residents and helpful to relatives and have a wonderful entertainment programme which is excellent for the residents with dementia.

I felt positive about Cedardale from the moment I first walked through the door. Mum has only been here for a month but has settled in well. With fairly advanced dementia I was worried how she would cope but the staff are all so kind and caring, I know that Mum is safe and well looked after. There is
always someone available to keep me updated when I visit. I'm so glad Mum was able to go to Cedardale.

Generally good overall. We are happy with the care that my father is receiving from Cedardale Residential Home. He seems very happy and content with the carers that look after him and always has a smile on his face when we come and visit. He enjoys the food that is served to him and loves the attention
that is given.

I am extremely happy with the care my mum receives at Cedardale. It means a lot for us to know that she has 24/7 care.
Mum loves the musical events that are sometimes organised. Mum is always clean and well dressed when I see her and has a good relationship with all staff.
