Initial thoughts on arrival are quiet, tidy and front doors secure with automated check-in & out. No unpleasant odours which are often found in care homes. Corridors and lounges are bright & airy with nice outlook over garden, staff are very friendly & attentive.

Some of the ratings I have not marked because I don't have contact with those.

My Mother in Law arrived at Court Regis in early March after a long period of planning the next steps for her. We spent a lot of time talking to the staff beforehand as it was likely to be a difficult day for her. Emma and the whole team were first class and the arrival went very smoothly with the least possible stress. My Mother in Law was welcomed personally at the front door and made to feel very special. In the early days we were kept regularly informed of how she was doing and this was much appreciated. When we started to visit (after a couple of weeks as agreed/planned with the staff) it was very obvious that she was being very well cared for and was comfortable in her new surroundings. The care and genuine affection from all of the staff (for all the residents) is very clear to see. My Mother in Law is in safe and caring hands. Everything we have experienced as a family leaves us in no doubt that Court Regis is a place to be highly recommended.

Overall Experience

The management and staff have displayed professionalism and genuine care. They provided invaluable support during the challenging process of moving Mum into the home for the first time. Their efforts made the transition smoother than anticipated, offering one-to-one attention to Mum after we left her in their care. For the first 2 weeks, the staff maintained regular contact with us, keeping us informed about Mum's progress. Their approachability, friendliness, patience and compassion towards all residents has been evident every step of the way. The staff dedicate time to engaging with residents and ensure there are daily activities to keep everyone stimulated. Based on our experience, I would recommend Court Regis to anyone seeking a care home for a loved one in the Sittingbourne area.

I really like the fact that all the rooms are on the ground floor and the care home is easy to get round. The carers are all very friendly and do an excellent job of caring for the residents. Mum thinks its a hotel. I always find it very clean and I am impressed with the freshly cooked food choices every day. Court Regis has a time table of events, so families know exactly what is going on everyday. Always welcoming 10/10

Court Regis was recommended by our doctor and I can understand why. The care and support has been excellent and they are very comfortable in CR. The staff are very good and treat her with care and respect. I am pleased that we chose CR when reviewing the options.

After much research and visiting care homes in my area, I chose to place my mother, who has mixed dementia in Court Regis in August. Of course you are always worried if it will meet your expectations. On a day/weekly basis, I must say I am very relieved that they do (and more!). I visit often at various times of the day, there are always plenty of staff/entertainment happening. All staff are lovely compassionate and caring. Well done Court Regis, five star.

My mum has been in Court Regis for the past 18 months since having a double stroke which left her with dementia. The whole time she was there she was very well looked after and always looked clean and well-kept. The staff are both professional and friendly displaying empathy to the residents at all times. The atmosphere is like one big happy family and we never witnessed the staff treating residents with anything other than respect and kindness. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone especially those with dementia who need a little bit of extra care and understanding.

Helpful, friendly staff who have the interest of residents at heart. The staff I have met try and encourage my mum to eat and have offered on many occasions to bring some of her favourite food items in, above and beyond.

Reply from Frances Lake, Customer Support Officer at Court Regis

Thank you for your comments; we are pleased that you are happy with the care given to your mum at Court Regis. We note you have only given two stars regarding the food offered and I would like to discuss this further with you in order that we can make any improvements necessary to encourage Mum to eat more, we acknowledge this part of her care is very important.

My mother loves all the staff here, she loves that they are on hand if she needs help, she says the food is fantastic and gallops with her walking frame down to the restaurant, so that speaks volumes about how much she loves it. My mother has not taken part in any activities as she prefers to stay in her room. Hopefully, in time, she will join in. The staff took a group to the pub for Christmas, she loved it.

Since my brother-in-law came into the home in June 2021, I have been impressed by the facilities, the caring nature of the staff and the way the home is maintained. My brother-in-law does have the odd moan about food (he likes curry) but he is generally happy. The activities he enjoys and keeps him engaged while his use of his iPad and TV controls are a struggle.

Mum going into a care home was a worrying experience for us all, but in the short time Mum has been at Court Regis care home, we had no reason to worry. The care is excellent, nothing is too much trouble whenever I call or attend. The place is spotless, and Mum is happy, warm, well-fed and most importantly happy,.
