They have brought with them new ideas, including asking the residents what they want from their home. What a lovely idea to include them in choosing the new decoration of their home. With more activities to do most days and still the wonderful home cooked food that you can also enjoy with them if you wish. My mother arrived at The Grange from a time in hospital. A time which she found very confusing having been moved from ward to ward and finally to a different hospital. She was therefore confused and undoubtedly a little afraid when she arrived at The Grange. But after a few weeks, thanks to the kindness and care received from the staff who always go above and beyond, she began to settle in. She asked that she should stay at The Grange and resisted any move elsewhere. She tells me the food is excellent and “just how she likes it”. She has certainly been eating better since her arrival. Knowing that she is well cared for in so many ways, is a great comfort and reassurance to her family.

She has been working in Health and Social Care for 17 years, and during that time she worked in a variety of roles, including Cleaner, Activities Coordinator, Senior Carer, Deputy Manager and Registered Manager. Her role as RM will be to oversee and certify that all CQC compliance is completed to the highest standards and to ensure the care home teams are well supported, allowing them to focus on caring for our residents.
