Thank you for your review as it helps us to improve our service. In all cases regarding special diets, we would follow the guidance given by the medical professionals and what is stated on the hospital discharge notice. In this case, there was no such guidance. Regarding the falls, as you are aware there are other mitigating circumstances and following recent intervention the situation has been significantly improved. As to your comment about intervention being slow, as a care home, we work with relatives, external agencies, and specialist support services to deliver the best possible care for our residents. Regarding finding the resident on the floor, we were not made aware of this, if this had been raised with us, we would have been able to investigate the issue. We would never restrict visits, just because a person had raised concerns. However, there may be circumstances which result in some restrictions on visitation to protect the well-being of our residents.

During the Covid-19 period, we did experience a higher level of staff vacancies and have been actively recruiting since this period. We fully understand that it can appear we do not have the full complement of staff on duty. When this situation occurs during Covid outbreaks and other sickness absences we will always do our best to cover this absence. Unfortunately, our home and others will always experience a higher turnover of staff due to the nature of the business.
Our regular cook was absent due to long-term sick, so this department of service was covered. Our regular cook will now be returning on 14/04/2023.
We always pride ourselves on our cleaning standards. However, I need to reassure you that today (13/04/2023) we have undertaken a deep clean in your mother’s room. We have now employed a second cleaner for the afternoon period to strengthen this department.

Mr Suat Yilmaz is the CEO/Proprietor who has had over 20 years of experience in the care industry.
Miss Vanessa Cornfoot is The nominated Individual/Executive Director for the company with over 20 years experience of working within the care industry.
Julie has worked at Grenham Bay Court for many years and started off as an apprentice carer in 1989 and progressed her career to Deputy Manager, then Manager. Julie then took a break out of the management side and was the Head Cook for many years and stepped back into management in 2020 as one of our Registered Managers.
Things to know: Julie Holds NVQ 2,3,4 in Health and Social Care, Holds a great love for football, and Aston Villa is her team. Julie also is "the Crazy Cat Lady" of the home.
Raquel has worked at Grenham Bay Court for many years, she started as a night senior and progressed to days and now to management as one of our Registered Managers.
Raquel has her Level 3, 3 and 4 NVQ.
